Needed a lot of heat this one does it. The cords also of a nice heavy gage and the rubber on it especially good quality. Digital temp is nice but I sorta wish it had a dial so I could change temperature faster. Makita products are solid. Been using one of their cordless drills for 15 years now.

I purchased this product in November 2022 and used it on an occasional basis and this past week it just stopped working. I had a lot of faith in Makita products, but now not sure.
I ordered a makita heat gun online. They were quick to respond that the item had to be ordered and would take up to two weeks. Asked if I would still like to go ahead with the order. I agreed to do so. Within two weeks my item was shipped and had it the next day once it was in the couriers hands.
I recently purchased this heat gun for several uses. Primarily for my detailing business and installing paint protection film. The three speed fan setting is great and moves plenty of air. It's also convenient to just drop it down to the lowest setting to cool off, which is does relatively quickly. The digital temp control is easy to use on the fly. The attachments give plenty of options to fan out the heat.
