Great jigsaw bought this to use alongside my other jigsaw which is 18v and more power, bigger, but heavy. This Makita 12 v is great to use on smaller jobs if sawing horizontal being much smaller a lighter to use. But dont be fooled by it being 12v its quite powerful for its size. All in all a brilliant 12v jigsaw also having a pendulum action to for faster cutting in different boards & timber

Bought this as all my tools are makita 10.8v. And well it didn't let me down. The trigger is smooth to use and controls the speed great. I used it first off to to cut letters out of 9mm MDF and it worked brilliant. It's only floor, you need a lot of batteries as it eats them
