I was looking for a replacement electric screwdriver. Makita TD022DSE was the one I went for. Handy tool bag with spare battery. The screwdrivers got a nifty handle that you can straighten out or use a bent. The forward and backward switch is a small toggle switch either side of the casing that is very handy. Used it a couple of times even I have bought some drills that I can put Hexic head..

Very handy compact high torque (25nM) battery screwdriver.. 2 x 1.5Ah Li-Ion Batteries included with fast charging in only 30 minutes.(tested and Confirmed) .The fan cooled motor reduces the possibility of the unit overheating. All metal gearbox providing longevity of the tool. Electronic brake so No over tightening of fasteners.The soft grip handle is comfortable and less ‘grip’ fatigue when used for long periods and the LED work light is perfect for those tight dark spaces. Another great feature is the option to effortlessly turn the handle into a ‘pistol grip’. All in all a great addition to my tool kit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This would be a 5 star product if it weren't for one thing- the price. There is no doubt this is the finest cordless screwdriver available on the market. But it's a cordless screwdriver almost twice as much as a Makita drill? If Makita would price this thing more in line with their other products, this would probably be their best selling power tool. It's a perfect tool for anybody that does repairs on electronics, appliances, hobbies, automotive, and various other odds and ends around the house. Maybe that's the problem, it's too versatile. Have not used it much, but I have been impressed with it's ability to drive normal screws and bolts into various woods without using pilot holes.(although I still recommend pilot holes where accuracy and cosmetic details are of concern) Vari-speed trigger, adjustable handle positions, very powerful impact/torque feature for its size. The variable speed control allows this driver to be used as a normal cordless powered screw driver as well as an impact driver. An adjustable clutch would be a handy addition but attentive use will prevent damage to screw and bolt heads and driver heads.

I like that it is light weight and its impact driverI am a insulator and sheetmetal worker I carey a tool pouch full of tools all day I use this Makita tool every day on 016 and 020 Aluminum and also use it with self taping screws ocasionally on stainless.I am satisfied I had to return a red expensive tool that starts with letter M it just was to weak.

Quality is not that great.

I have other Makita impacts and they all work excellent. However, the bit retainer on this is cheap quality and poor assembly. It is made in PRC. And it is making grinding sounds probably because of poor machining. For a hefty price tag, this is not acceptable. However it is a very compact design and useful.

Getting used to the control (mashed 2 screws) but now greatI would have bought an accompanying drill/bit set (if there was one) not makita too expensive, which locks in place properly not falling out silly bits but proper impact ones.......INCLUDING DRILLS PLEASE

This is a really nice tool. It has enough power to drive about a 2 1/2 deck screw into pine, but that is about it's limit and it has to work hard to do it, and it takes awhile. But this is the most used tool in my shop it is light and easy to use. I use it for everything from car dashes to kitchen remodels. It can have the handle straight or bent. A nice improvement on this model is the "trigger" which is not variable speed and has controls on both sides. I LOVE this tool!

This product has surpassed my expectations!

This product has replaced a very inferior rechargeable screwdriver that I purchased at one of the box stores. It is so versatile. The fact that it's an actual impact driver in a screwdriver form is totally amazing. And as an added bonus, it is variable speed also. Can't believe I did not purchase this earlier. And Tool Barn customer service was phenomenal in accommodating my purchase.
