Hey Joey from DKOldies. I have ordered from you guys before, and I remembered Open Season on GBA. I have played that game before and I wish I would play that again because it brings me back so many memories that I do remember, and I'm also looking forward to Mario Party 9 on the Wii, I have never played MP9 before and I'm looking forward to that game.

I just got done playing this very entertaining game with my family. From the first round all the way to the 4th or 5th we were having a blast competing over stars and trying to mess each other up.I haven't played a mario party game since the N64 games so you'll have to take that into account, but I know for a fact that this is a ton of fun with a group of 4 people. The best part is is that the mini games are fun but easy to learn so anyone can play and have a blast. The only gripes I have are that without someone else to play with the game is a bit dull. Don't buy this if you're just planning on playing alone. Also, the game relies a bit too much on chance. I don't mind it too much, but when you are tearing it up in the mini games and you still lose because of ... MoreI just got done playing this very entertaining game with my family. As long as you're not taking it too seriously you'll still have a blast playing with friends and family. The game looks great. How a mario game should look. You'll here a lot of the familiar tunes and character noises as well(for good and bad depending on who you are), and there's a lot of variety to the mini games. Not all of them are great, but there's enough to enjoy. If you are looking for a game to play with others then definitely give Mario Party 9 a shot.

My husband and I have Mario Party 8 and love playing it so we were excited to see that Mario Party 9 was available. We invited friends that also love Mario Party 8 over to play Mario Party 9 as soon as we got home. Mario Party 9 is a HUGE disappointment. It appears that they decided to make the game more childish. Instead of each person moving on their own you are all grouped into one ‘vehicle’ and take turns being the captain. The mini games are a chance occurrence instead of being at the end of each round. When you do come across a mini game, the captain gets to choose from three mini games so it is no longer random. They got rid of coins and candy and have replaced them with mini stars that you can collect at random if you are the captain at the time. When you do come across a mini game, the captain gets to choose from three mini games so it is no longer random. They got rid of coins and candy and have replaced them with mini stars that you can collect at random if you are the captain at the time. Mini game winners are rewarded with stars as well. The objective of trying to obtain stars in Mario Party 8 is now gone and you just play through until the end of the path. Along the way they put ‘boss battles’ which are just your group playing a mini game against a ‘boss’. The only highlight of this game is that there are more mini game options and there are ways to just play the mini games as a party game setting. We wish that we could return this game and get our money back as it is a horrible diversion from the Mario Party line.
This Game is very fun to play. You can play alone vs the compute or play with a second player as a partner or against him or her or play with 4 players total and just have a blast, requirements for the game play is simply a Wii remote and nun chuck per player. Depending on the game you are playing you may or may not need the nun chuck. The game being sold says for sale and use only in Singapore, Malaysia, UAE and Saudi Arabia however it worked perfectly with my USA NTSC Wii console located in Los Angeles CA. My Wii is not modified at all and hasn't been updated in years as Nintendo removed firmware support for the system years ago. I just wanted to show my Wii some Love by buying a game to use on it. Hope you find this review helpful when it comes to the format of the game.
This game is so much fun!! It feels so nostalgic playing this again on the Wii, and the more people you play with the more fun!! The disc was in great shape with no smudges or scratches. I definitely recommend Mario Party 9 to anyone and everyone!
this is a great game especially if you are into the mario party sequels that keep coming out. this one has a particular twist with keeping everyone together (versus all over the board) in a vehicle with one driver switching off as the captain (maintains certain advantages in mini games). There are a few unlockables that get released once the solo game is beat and poses somewhat of a challenge. there are also more unlockables in the "museum" of the game which allows you to unlock things with points that are achieved by playing different multiplayer boards. Fun for all ages that can understand the basic controls which are instructed before each mini game. Fun for all ages that can understand the basic controls which are instructed before each mini game. If you are a pro at mario party games then there is even a master level difficulty that makes it a challenge for even the best of the best. most maps are 30 min-60 mins depending on how many players and how long the mini games go for. For those of you looking for more of a Q&A review type: -I bought this product because I have played mario party before and like the board game interaction and knew my wife would enjoy it as well with my kid when he is old enough. -the only thing i dislike is that the unlockables are in a way lacking and I hoped for more boards to be able to play other than 8. price is still pretty high for a wii game but its worth it. -compared to others it is different but similar. i would still buy it even if i had all the other mario party games. the mini games in this are so much fun.
I bought this game quite a while ago and since then have only played it a handful of times. I have only tried Party mode for the game so I have not done an in-depth playthrough of the game but in my opinion it's the weakest game in the Mario Party Franchise that I've played. The gameplay isn't necessarily bad and it does offer a unique take on the way Mario Party is played. However Party mode has you work as a team and loses the competitive aspect of the game which has made the series so much fun for me and my friends. Overall not a bad game, worth a try if you're a die-hard Mario fan or want to play a cooperative game with younger kids. Not great for competitive gamers or if you're looking to play a game with your friends that is competitive, Mario Party 8 is a ... MoreI bought this game quite a while ago and since then have only played it a handful of times. Got this for my 5 year old and he absolutely loves it! The graphics are bright and clear and fun. He enjoys choosing which character he is going to be and which land he is going to play in...he particularly likes the Boos castle and the Magma. The 'board game' part where you throw the dice lasts about 30 mins, which is ideal. He also loves the minigames, which are only 2 mins long each, but they are exciting for him. There are lots of various minigames to choose from. I have even played the minigames myself when my son has gone to bed!! A good fun, child friendly game.
My young kids absolutely love this game. The short mini-games are easy for them to understand and play, intuitive controls (although pointing the wii remote at the screen can be a challenge for them some times, but they eventually get it) Fun for the family!
