It is exactly what I wanted. Convenient, comfortable on my pack, plenty of space... and the measurements say my phone should fit! Before the exception, let me say that I love this pouch. It's a quality product, and the attachment setup is super easy. I'll figure out exactly how else I'm going to use it, given the exception below. It only fits my phone without a case. My S22 Ultra needs additional length to fit with the waterproof case on it. I was hoping to use it for a quick access pocket for my phone to take pictures with. The S22 Ultra does fit without the case, but that isn't going to work for me for backpacking. I would LOVE to see a slightly larger version of this pouch for those of us with the larger phones that have a case.

I've tried two similar versions of these from other brands and they just fall down the strap because the dinky little velcro straps don't hold jack s*^%. I saw this one had a little something extra on the attachment side so I figured I'd give it a shot. Lo and behold the darn thing actually works! I've tried it on 3 different bags (only 1 of which was a matador bag) and it sticks like white on rice. The design of the little bag itself is pretty basic but the size is right and the open-top mesh pocket is handy. Also, the two different strap holes are genius for getting the positioning right from one bag to another. "Universal" products almost always suck but this is certainly a big exception.

Not as advertised unless this is specifically meant for one identical type of backpack strap. This holds its grip for about 500 paces and then it’s slid to the bottom of my 21L GoRuck like clockwork. I’d never store anything that I needed accessible - not to mention important in one of these.I first learned about how terrible this holds to a backpack strap when I was lucky enough to hear the sound of my iPhone falling on the ground and glass shattering as I’d barely walked 2 blocks and the stash case had slid so far down the strap my iPhone - had also slide completely vertically and faceplanted on the concrete. If only I had another stash of $1000 to go buy a 5 day old phone again I might not be as upset. But I don’t this case for storage made my stash of cash ... Use this exclusively for airport travel and it has been incredible. First world problems, but I always struggled with finding a clean place to put my phone/passport/cash when going through TSA and this solved a problem I honestly didn't know I could solve.Could I throw it in a main compartment of my bag? Sure. Could I throw it in a gross doggy bowl bin they provide? ...no. But now I have a safe space to store random important stuff that would normally sit in (and fall out of) my pockets. My wife didn't know I purchased (shame shame), noticed it when we got to the airport and promptly requested one as well. Now that's saying a lot!
This SPEED STASH is very handy for traveling! It held my passport for easy access at the airport, and while sightseeing, it held my cellphone! The packaging is good'n'simple, and the build seems durable (today's day 3 of use). There are 4 hole options for your sternum strap to keep the strap pocket in place. Both of the zippers have pulls to make opening and closing easy. (Can also loop a carabiner through them for extra security, if desired.)
OK, the build quality is excellent, but I think there are some design flaws. Firstly, there could definitely have been a key clip inside. A short one, or just a loop, so I could clip my keys by hanging them up, which would be incredibly handy. You can still throw your keys in it, but they take up space at the bottom of the pouch. The top of the pouch is much more useful for this, and with a small loop this would be possible! Another problem is that it doesn't fit all straps. I alternate the Osprey Radial and NiteCore BP18 backpacks, and it doesn't fit the BP18 well, it always sags or slips. I watched Matador's video on how to attach it to the sternum strap but still... The front mesh pouch is fine, but only for cards or small items. You can also fit your phone in the front mesh pocket, but this bothered me, especially when it rained. Overall, I can't say it's not good, it's a great pouch, but there are too many pouches like this, especially for much cheaper by many tactical brands. I didn't find any use for it other than holding my mobile phone, which could easily be done with another pouch. I'm happy I bought it for my cycling backpack, but not too happy with it in general, especially for the price tag.
I received this product in great packaging that was clearly UncommonGoods. When I received it, it was around the time my cousin and family were visiting from FL. When my cousin saw this product, he thought it was really cool so I decided to gift it to him since he was leaving to go back home the following day. After his plane trip home, he told me that this product was really handy for easy accessibility to his airport information. I would definitely repurchase this product and/or gift this to people who like to travel!!
Ever had a backpack you really liked, but it didn't have a good pocket for your phone? and any access pocket it did have, wasn't very secure?this solves all of these problems for one bag travel without layering on an extra sling bag. I have mine secured on a Matador Beast 18 on my left side. it easily fits two phones, a charging brick, and a small notebook and pen. I really like the front stretchy pocket for tickets and things i need quick access to. the zippers are great, and the waterproofing gives good piece of mind. i would recommend using it will the backpack sternum strap so it doesn't slide around.for days during one bag travel when i just want my phone, keys and wallet, i take it off my backpack and attach a shoulder strap to the part above where the ... I love this pocket! I always struggle to hold items like my phone or a small flashlight handy in front of me with a backpack. My pack has hip belt pouches but they are way too small for a phone and since I'm a small person those pockets bend around my hips and aren't very useful. This stash pocket is absolutely perfect for what I need. It easily fits all of my packs, There are slots for the sternum strap to go through which would also allow this to be placed on a hip belt if one chose. The velcro wrap around the shoulder strap holds firm and doesn't slip. The pack can easily hold my iPhone 14 pro in either the outer pocket or in the zippered pocket with room to spare. Really happy with this purchase.
I bought this in anticipation of a holiday trip involving transportation by taxi, plane, and ferry. Kept all the important things within reach and secure while traveling. Plenty of room for my phone (with a 4-card case), passport, and face mask in the main compartment and cash, air pods, and hand sanitizer in the outer mesh. Could use one additional interior divider, but it's great the way it is. Had trouble at first keeping it secure on my backpack strap, but no additional issues after adjusting the velcro (which I thought offered a very strong hold). Will happily be incorporating this little pouch whenever my travels take me through an airport.
