Bought the Asian fit. Nice looking glasses but a bit flimsy in my opinion. The fit is a bit off too. Being Asian fit, it doesn’t wear the way my old Maui Jim’s do. If you have a big head, and wide face, these are not for you. The nose piece brings the glasses too close to your face making the ends to hit your cheeks. May have to look for another model pair and exchange these. I like the looks of them, but they don’t fit right for me.

At first receipt I immediately wanted to return this. It felt like a cheap toy with none of that hefty premium feel you get from metal rim and heavy glass lens sunnies. But after one use I could see why this get such nice reviews.It's feather-light, and yes the lens feel like plastic. But it's extremely clear and does not distort my vision unlike any other sunglasses I've tried before. It's super comfortable on the eyes, feels like I'm not wearing them thanks to the that. Closer look at the construction shows sturdy construction with multiple screws. Also suprisingly, made in Japan! A missed marketing opportunity that they do not mention this.As a bonus it fits fine on my large head that can usually only fit wraparounds.

I've truly enjoyed these glasses. I like the clean rimless style. The lens clarity is the best that I've experienced in a poly lens. I received these as a retirement gift from my employer after 37 yrs with them.Unfortunately mine were just stolen from my bag in the Fort Lauderdale airport. I hope to be replacing them sometime in the future. Great glasses.

I live in sunny Florida . I was looking for sport sunglasses ,that were not too dark and with readers, that I could use for Golf. I'm in my 60's and was having difficulty focusing on the blurry golf ball teed up in front of me. Also my normal sunglasses were a shade too dark for me to see everything clearly on the course - but I wanted to protect my eyes from the Florida sunshine. I have always been a Maui Jim fan since discovering them over 20 years ago. I found the HT lens with readers works well for me in this situation. Thanks to Maui Jim's free return policy I finally found that the Banyans fit my big head the best. I've had a several pairs of this model over the years, including the prescription version. I liked the fit and the light weight. However I am now officially giving up on Maui Jim glasses. All of them scratch much too easily. Within a year and a half, all of them had deep scratches which affected the clarity and usefulness. One of the problems is that the polarizing laminate is on the outside of the lens. You can see this when you look at the thin edge of the lens. Even though the main lens material maybe advertised as 'scratch resistant' for the prescription lenses in particular, the outside layer remains soft and prone to abrasion. Darker tint than my other MJ’s which I needed because I’m at the beach a lot. Comfortable to wear for long periods. The polarised lenses keep the glare at bay especially reflected glare from the water. I broke my old MJ’s in an accident and they fixed them for free. Cant see why I would ever change brands again.
I have worn Maui Jim sunglasses for years, and they have consistently been comfortable, well made, good looking and reasonably priced. I have learned to trust the brand. This pair of sunglasses did not disappoint. They are comfortable, the lenses are consistent and the glasses and frames are well made. I am very pleased with them, would recommend them to my friends and would gladly re-purchase them if I were to lose them.
I have been wearing Maui Jim sunglasses for at least 20 years. This pair is my 3rd; I can't imagine using any other eyewear. This particular model fits me perfectly, as if they were custom made for my face. The brightness of the sun & daylight is subdued to protect my eyes, but not dark enough to make a difference in being able to see & discern objects. I can wear these all day without them making me uncomfortable. I will always be a steadfast customer. Thank you!!
Ordered Banyan Bronze HCL plus readers through my Optometrist who is an agent. They arrived promptly and are beautifully light to wear, which, paired with amazing lense clarity and clever +2 readers make them ideal for reading by the pool and for driving! I won a pair of Banyans 10+ years ago and used them constantly. They have went on numerous winter vacations, canoe trips, etc and have been wonderful. After all those years of extensive use the lenses were starting to get a few marks so I bought a new pair of Cruzem Lava Maui Jim sunglasses. I sent my Banyans in and had the lenses replaced which was completed very promptly. I have to say that this Company is so friendly and responsive to correspond with that it is unbelievable. I would never think of buying a different brand now. Great Work!
