My husband and son love these sunglasses. My husband purchased them last year and they are one of his favorite pair. Our twenty five year old son is continually borrowing them so we ordered a pair for his birthday. They both look great in them, they love the style, the comfort and the performance of the lenses. The clear frame makes them different from other sunglasses looks.

I have had the glasses for a couple of weeks now and so far, so good. I took them to a spring training game and out for a road trip. I got these because my other pair were too dark. These are just the right darkness so I can still see things. My only complaint would be the glasses case itself. I accidently put it on the seat and sat on it, totally collapsed. That was empty so would give the glasses no protection whatsoever. The glasses are safe though. I got good help from the chat line also.

Best glass and clearest lenses I have ever used, even better than prescription lenses I've had.These are very stylish glasses and fit me very well. 5.9 195 lb male. My sister 5.4 100 lb also looks great in them.Know what you're getting though. These are not the darkest lenses out there. That make colors pop. They are super clear.They are not going to let you look directly at the sun. If you do not have a hat on and light gets behind then lens you can see your eyes. Add a hat and that stops. Super bright days you might squit a bit.That said, these are the best sunglasses I have owned. Well worth it if you can swing the price tag. Just understand what you're buying. The style and compliments you'll get we make the purchase worth it. You will look amazing in them.
2 significant issues:1. they are very dark. If you require readers chances are you need some light to read. These are the probably the darkest sunglasses I have ever had.2. The reader portion is a cheap cling that you can buy for a few bucks on Amazon.I have owned 6-7 pairs of Maui Jim's and was disappointed that this is the route they took. By this definition, ALL SUNGLASSES are readers.
Crystal Blue Kawika, I am a long time wearer of MJ’s. I own many pairs mostly in the bronze lens. I recently stepped out of my comfort zone and purchased these. I absolutely love them. I was very hesitant about the Blue Hawaii lens but it is so clear for every day use. They are really a fun new addition to my MJ collection. I also am pleased with the new fold up cases.
I own a pair of Maui Jim Kawikas, plane lense crystal frame with blue Hawaii lens and they are wonderful. I recently ordered the same Maui Jim Kawikas with bifocal reading lense. The frames are identical but the blue lense is TOO DARK and limits their usefulness. My originals are much better, lighter, easy to use in the shade. My new Kawikas are TOO DARK and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM

At the end of the second day I put my MJ’s back in the case because it got cloudy. We had to go and I had the gut wrenching realization that my case was nowhere to be found. I looked everywhere, in every pocket as far as I could see in my golf bag and on the course. Nothing.I called the course everyday the next week to see if some Good Samaritan turned them in. I have been wearing tortoise Kawika glasses for about 5 years. The are both comfortable and gorgeous. I just ordered this pair to replace my original pair but this new model is horrible. The front of the frame is all brown not tortoise. The arms are barely tortoise. The metal on my original pair is gold this new pair is shiny brown. Needless to say, they are going back.
Should be ZERO stars. The Blue Hawaii version of these sunglasses are by far THE WORST maui jim sunglasses I've ever owned, and I have had a lot over the years - poorest lens quality and frame structual stability ever - as listed in most of the other 1 star reviews.Unfortunately, and unbelievably, they don't really care. Great brand relevance guys!! When I submitted this to customer service, the only 'remedy' they offered was for me to submit another repair - which I've already done once to replace the defective lenses.I would expect to get a full credit on this substantively inferior product.
