I recently ordered a mix order of 160 and 320 powder mix and received it the other day. I am preparing for the Army Ten Miler and got a chance to try the product this morning prior to my 10.3 mile run. I couldnt be more pleased with the results. I tried the 160 for starters and had sustained energy for my entire run and noticed a increase in speed per mile splits. No stomach cramping at all and felt hydrated the entire run. Great product I look forward to using it in my training and competition race days. Happy Running _

I’ve always disliked how sweet electrolyte drinks are. Especially on hot days the sweet flavor never quenches thirst. Maurten is great because the flavor is extremely mild while being gentle on the stomach and gives me the extra boost I need. The one thing I don’t get about it is that it never seems to dissolve well - it sinks right to the bottom and after my run there’s always a small layer crusted to the bottom of the bottle.

Outstanding product! I’ve been using this since you first added it to your inventory. Previously on long runs, runs over 25 miles, I often would get an upset stomach. I spent a lot of time trying different products in an attempt to solve this issue. When I first read about Maurten I had my doubts. I ordered just a couple of packages to try. What I discovered is this stuff is awesome. It nourishes me, hydrates me, and never causes stomach upset. I like that it is flavorless, although the 360 is somewhat sweet. Again, wonderful product.

I use both the 160 drink and the 100 gels. Sense using this product all my stomach issues have gone away on long runs. The drink mix do to its gelling effect in stomach results in no sloshing and keeps me filling very full and satisfied while giving me lots of energy. Tip: I have mixed with with pure coconut water giving it a great flavor and adds a few more calories to it as well electrolytes. Has no effect on the gelling in stomach, Its just awesome.I do wish they would produce a gel pack that is 150 cal. over the 100. These gels go down so easy.

During training the mix work well. I train on the east coast. Unfortunately for my race in Tahoe I kept refilling my bottles and the mix just caked to the bottom for the entire time without me realizing. Eventually I had to quit the race early as I was completely spent. Attaching pics of what I pulled out of my bottles after the race.

During training the mix was fine. All of my training happens on the east coast without much elevation. I just finished the Tahoe Trail 50k which is at a much higher elevation and the mix just caked to the bottom of my bottles. I got very little product through our the race and I definitely felt it. Had to cut my race short as I wasn’t getting what I needed. Adding pics of what I pulled out of my bottles. That is not a small spoon. It’s a ladle.

The big disadvantage for me is that the instructions say the drink should be consumed in short time frame. No saving leftovers for later. I ride long distances out in the country away from stores so I carry extra. This stuff is too expensive to toss extras. Not useful on the road, but I have used it riding indoors and found it helpful, but not much better than my usual product. So for me not worth the extra cost. Their gels made me nauseous on runs so I hesitate to run using this product.

Best on market for sensitive stomachs!
17 February 2021

Finding the right supplements has been a real issue for me as most products start to turn my stomach after less than a bottle. After a lot of trials and research someone recommended Maurten as being good for sensitive stomachs but and also delivering the right mix of carbs for longer rides. To date, the experience has been really good, no issues at all and although slightly more expensive I would highly recommend to anyone who has struggled with their stomach. Only tried the 160 mix (so far) which has been perfect for a few hours on the bike. Will definitely be trying the 320 mix for longer trips once the weather allows.

Game changer in terms of long training and racing nutrition, just need to pay attention on electrolytes, I use it in half of my total bottles during the training. BikeInn have great service as always, arrived on time in perfect condition!

Versatile Energy Drink

I've been using this for a while now.Firstly by itself as directed on the packet. Its a bit bland with a fine paste/ gel like texture. Goes down well with no complaints, just bland. The second use has been to mix it on-top of the normal Torq energy drink (two scoops in 500ml) at it's lower (160) rate, effectively having a double dose. I struggle to drink the 500ml/hr that torq recommends, so by mixing the two products together you end up with a higher carbohydrate drink, which is not excessively sweet (no sweeter than standard torq) and easy on the stomach. From fast 4hr races to 24hr endurance slogs, that double mixture has served me well. Enabling me to keep the carb content up with less liquid intake, less eating (gels/bars) and zero stomach discomfort. The only ... MoreI've been using this for a while now.Firstly by itself as directed on the packet. It mixes fine with hard (350mg/l) water in the SE. Having tried it on artificially softened water / brita filtered water and bottled water i can't see/taste any difference. Potentially there is a chemical reason for the difference, but its not visibly noticeable and i find that it mixes better than traditional drink powders.
