it's one of my holy grail lip liners. Great price when half off but best of all, amazing colours! The 'brown and nude' colour and 'brown' shades are great for deep skin tones. Creamy formula that dries down after a minute and lasts a very long time on the lipsAND THE PENCIL SHARPENS lol just put it in a pencil sharpener!!! haha (but would love if there was a little sharpener on the lid like some pencils)

Like all other reviews, Useless! as unable to sharpen. No instructions to say how to sharpen it. I tried a small pencil sharpener and the outer was so tough it wouldn't twist to sharpen. I tried a scalpel and again too tough even for that. Did anyone from Max Factor actually test this before marketing?

Where is the old shade Brown n Bold 016 it is my favorite shade the new one with same name looks red i can't find the old one anymore in kuwait i went to all Max Factor store in kuwait they say it's discontinued is that true i loved that grey brown shade it is all i use everyday.Will you ever bring back the old 016 shade??? :_(

Matches my lips well - just a little darker than my lip colour which is what I want to make my lips looks larger than they are (I have no top lip)! It also lasts a long time even throughout eating (most things) and drinking.I can't understand all the negative reviews about sharpening? Mine sharpens just fine. My sharpener is from Bourjois (a bright pink one). Maybe that will help others with that issue? Will absolutely buy this lip liner again!
I absolutely love this lip liner, I used to use a different brand but this one by far is the best for me, however I have to agree with everybody’s comments on sharpening. it is always breaking or not sharpening properly! I tried two different sharpeners thinking one of them was the problem but it’s the actual lipliner pencil that keeps breaking and as it’s not really cheap, I would suggest max factor try and find a solution for this.
I bought it a week ago and I really like this pencil a lot. After reading of all this negative reviews I was having a doubt too. But I have to say, that after using a normal sharpener for common pencils, this was very easy to sharpen. So now its perfect again!
The good points about this lip liner are the colours, which come in lovely shades to suit your lips and the texture of it, which is smooth but not oily on the lips.However, overall this lip liner is a huge waste of money for the simple reason that once the tip has gone blunt after about the 3rd or 4th application there is just no way to sharpen it! The pencil itself is made of plastic so quite hard to the touch unlike normal pencils which are wooden, therefore you cannot sharpen it. If you do manage to sharpen a bit you will find either your sharpener has broken or the lip liner has snapped! I got the brown n nude shade, I initially thought it was far too dark for my colouring but it actually was an exact colour match for my lips. Ideal. The liner transfered to my skin with only light pressure, allowing for accuracy in application. The shade works well with nude or earth toned lipsticks/glosses. I wouldn't paid it with anything that has more of a red tone. I will have to get another shade for that..
I have bought several of these been using this brand for years,the older ones sharpen better then the new batch, MAUVE MOMENT 03 but to sharpen them is diabolical, no matter which one I’m doing they DO NOT SHARPEN. Just keep on breaking at £5:99 someone there should test them before there sent out, WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY. Disappointed
I am very happy with this new lip liner stick. I am using it for last 2 weeks and results are amazing. It is super easy to apply, and the finishing is really good. I can highly recommend it to anyone.
