Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Powder - Pure Beige

This powder performs adequately. I've been wanting to experiment with another product from Maybelline's FIT ME line, as I'm a fan of their concealer. Although I initially considered trying the foundation, my combination/oily skin led me to choose the powder instead, since I needed a new one. Let me start by mentioning that the powder may seem light in the pan, but it blends seamlessly with my skin tone. It's a lightweight powder that works well for setting foundation, although it doesn't provide much coverage on its own. I definitely love this product. It is definitely perfect. I recommend using a damp beauty blender and then push it into the powder and apply the powder where you wanted to stay. Everybody has their own techniques on how they like to apply things that’s just one of my suggestions I find it likes to hold better and stay in place longer Rather compared to applying it I noticed it does and will crease. That’s why I like to apply at the way I do. However, I have been able to play around with this product and I definitely love it. I do recommend it they have a ton of different shades. In the past, I have used a more expensive, poreless powder, but found Maybelline’s Fit Me for a much cheaper price. I think the coverage is just as good as the more expensive brand. I use this as my foundation and not just as a powder. If I want a lighter application, I use the brush pictured (not included with powder.) If I want more coverage, I use the sponge pictured, that comes with the powder. If my face gets shiny later, in the day, I either use the sponge to dab a little powder on the shiny spots, or just use my ring finger. I am 15 years old and have no acne or anything. Sure, sure I get some pimples here and there but this product made me break out so bad, it was terrible. It also made my skin look patchy! I watched numerous videos on how to make it look good and "airbrushed" but nothing helped! NOTHING! It kept on coming out cakey. In general, I don't recommend it. The powder is fine and smooth to touch. First, this powder has good coverage. It works well for a powder foundation and it has enough coverage to even out the skin tone and conceal some redness. It has medium coverage and it’s easy to apply and blend. The sponge that comes inside the compact also works really well and I use it to touch up the powder throughout the day. This is a wonderful light weight powder finish. It is almost like wearing nothing at all. The shade was very true to my natural skin and blended beautifully. As an older female I have been very happy using this product. It does not show fine lines and gives such great overall coverage. The powder foundation absorbs oily skin. Beautiful finish when it mixes with face oils, satiny vs shiny, easy to touch up, blurring over pores and medium coverage. Also a good powder to top over a light layer of liquid foundation. Doesn’t get any better than this.

Wow! I always seen my cousin use this for years so I thought I’d finally give it a try and omg! For it being under $10 and drugstore once its on you would think its something on the higher end. 10/10 recommend. The coverage is amazing! I put it on top of my foundation for a filter smooth finish but also shade range is so amazing you can wear it on bare skin and it will look like you put foundation on. The packaging is great as well, comes with a little mirror and beauty sponge but i dont like the ones it comes with personally absorbs all the product, I like to use a powder brush when applying this. It even fits in any bag to keep on the go!

I had previously been using a Translucent mattifying powder from Avon for a number of years and I just found out that they discontinued it so I kind of panicked when I started hitting pan on my powder. I decided to investigate another brand and I kept seeing good reviews for the Maybelline New York Fit Me Poreless Mattifying Powder. I was thrilled that it came in Translucent because not all powders have that specific shade. I've seen this particular powder in a number of places where I could easily buy it but once again Walmart.ca had the best price. I thought if I ended up not liking it, I could feel good that I wasn't shelling out a lot of money. Anyhow, this Maybelline powder is so much better than the Avon powder that I thought ... MoreWow! Powder is good, colour range is not

Aside from the colour range this powder performs the best of the budget powder range. I have been testing various powders, both loose and pressed, with multiple different foundaitons. This is only one of two that don't cake and can be touched up during the day without destroying the foundation. The box is a bit clunky and the sponge provided useless, Boot's own soft powder puff for pressed powder is better and fits in the little compartment. For touch ups on the go this would be ideal with the little mirror and no messing with loose powder.The colour range is sadly lacking, however. From other reviews it seems those with dark skin struggle for the right shade and I find those with truely pale skin will struggle as well. I wear the 095 Fair Porcelain but the nearest coloured powder is 105 Natural Ivory, 7 shades (of foundation) darker. Yet for the next 8 shades of foundation there are 2 powders, and the 8 shades after that 3 powders.Despite being the lightest coloured powder 105 is still quite dark and gives an orange hue. I have also used the 090 transluscent which is better but is white and pales foundation down quite dramatically. There is no middle ground.
