This product is my absolute go-to lipstick. I'm an avid wearer of lipstick (pretty much daily) and I will always opt for this in either shade Voyager or Pioneer as I feel they compliment fair skin nicely. The protective casing surrounding the product prior to purchase ensures product hygiene (though is plastic!) so I take extra comfort that I, 1) get the most out of my product, and 2) wont be using a product potentially already opened and/or used by someone else. As for transferability, this is hardly ever an issue. There isn't too much of a scent to this product that I've noticed. If there is one, I wouldn't personally say that its strong or a huge factor at all. The pigmentation throughout the lifespan of this product is generally amazing. Earlier applications may be a little darker due to loaded product, but dabbing your lips after application will mitigate that easily! I will say that unless you manually remove some of the product from the wand for the first 20ish applications, the product can feel quite thick and might not be a texture of consistency for everyone but this absolutely can be avoided personally by gently scraping the wand against the opening of the container. Due to its long-stay capabilities, it can take a little bit more effort to remove it if you're not using a cleanser or other product that easily removes makeup but that's to be expected! Overall, I would 100% recommend this product to others to give it a go. The average price point is really quite affordable considering how many applications I usually get out of it and for its performance. Definitely worth giving it a go if you're into bold colours and need a product that will last throughout the day (or night!).

It was fairly comfortable to wear, it did maintain a somewhat sticky texture even after drying down. But I think that is what helped it not suck all of the moisture out of my lips. In conclusion, I was pleasantly surprised by the long-wearing formula of this lipstick. So although I’m not a huge fan of this color, I will gladly consider buying another shade.

These are very nitpicky facts, but I think they are important to mention nonetheless. I also really like the packaging of the product. The square component is an excellent idea to avoid having it roll around on a desktop. I also really like the applicator/doe foot as it has a slight hole in the center of it that really holds a good amount of product. For this reason, you don't have to dip back in a million times to get the desired amount of product. I also really love the shade range, especially because they include more unorthodox colors such as blue and black. The price point is also quite affordable and comparable to other similar products at the drugstore. My overall consensus is that I like the product enough to use the shades that I have already purchased to completion , but would not go out of my way to purchase multiple other shades. Do with that what you wish!

They are very pretty colors and go on really nicely. You only need one swipe over the lips to get coverage and great color. I do not however like the applicator, I feel like it needs to be bent a little bit at the bottom instead of being completely straight all the way down. I also don’t get the point of the hole in the middle of the applicator doe foot… maybe so you don’t apply too much? It stays all day and doesn’t smudge, even in hot, humid weather. I have tried, tested, gifted and recommended it to many. It’s one of my best finds and I always want something I don’t need to reapply—this works like magic. The q-tip applicator is perfect for getting the pout without needing a lip liner. I like a liquid lip that is a high pigment content so that I don't need copious amounts of layers to get an even coverage. this product allows you vinyl lip realness when done right. And finally it is nice when a liquid lip can be worn with a variety of different lip glosses and the formula does not break down. I'm excited to say I have even used forever 21 lip gloss on this lipstick and it did not budge . The Lipstick is wonderful but the way to ensure that you get the most out of this lipstick you must exfoliate your lips until every last piece of dead skin is off of your lip! number two use a lip balm that is hydrating in such a way the hydration goes into the lip because before you put this lipstick on you will have to remove every bit of it that is on the surface so the lipstick forms of proper bond with the skin. Leaving a waxy surface will compromise the adherence of this formula. It is very important to stay away from waxy lip balms with this formula and clean lip balms before applying. Finally do each lip separately let each lip dry separately do not touch your lips together until it has completely dried and resist the compulsion to test whether it is dry. Once you break that finish it is a pain to try to fix. Look for the texture of the lipstick to change as it dries down as it dries down it will be wet but when it is dry it will not be as shiny it will look set. Color is more orange than expected.

The color I chose (430 Meditator) appeared on screen to be more of a nude/natural lip color, which is what I usually lean towards when choosing a lip color. Even in person, it appears a little more neutral than the actual product and when you open and look at the actual product on the applicator, it still doesn't look as orange as it does when you put it on. I always steer clear of any orange-tinted color and choose a cool tint over a warm tint because I noticed long ago that orange was a really bad color of lipstick on me. So, I wish I would have chosen differently, but there weren't many options for me to begin with. I think I would have had a much easier time choosing a color in-person. I had to borrow my daughter's makeup remover (which I normally don't need for the types of makeup I use) just to get it off my lips. It is super stay, just as the name implies. It is matte. It comes in a nice, high quality tube and I love that the smiley faces matched the shirt my daughter was wearing. That was kinda funny and I told her, hey we match! I think this product was geared toward younger people, but it doesn't scream teeny-bopper either. I would recommend for those in their late teens and twenties. But you're only as young as you feel and if you like smilies and emojis, then this is for you,no matter what your age. Just keep in mind you will need makeup remover or mineral oil to remove it.

Favorite Matte Liquid Lip Formula

The SuperStay Matte Ink liquid lipstick is one of my top 3 go to lipsticks! The wide array of colors, tones and even some shimmer shades at an affordable price is amazing. PLEASE make sure to replace your products based on their expiration date as any liquid product dries out and will no longer perform as it should.

I even watched the video on the Maybelline website to see if I was applying it wrong, or if you have to prep your lips a certain way (other than clean and not chapped), but no, you're just supposed to apply one coat and go. Today I took a couple of photos by the window - this is what it looked like after 40 minutes, and I've had nothing to eat or drink - and it's not as dark as it should be, probably because it's worn off so much but I'm not able to upload them with this review so you can see. Truly disappointing and total waste of £10. I have no idea why it's got so many good reviews because this is probably the second worst/joint worst out of the several I bought.

Received a complimentary Super Stay Matte Ink lip color from Maybelline for product trial in shade Mediator. The shade is an absolutely beautiful matte and the light fruity flavor is pleasant, although short lived. The packaging is cute with smiling faces and the convenient sponge tip applicator makes precise application simple. However, once applied the lip color felt sticky on my lips and remained tacky all through the dry down process. An hour after application my lips felt tight and drawn, remained with a tacky feeling and all my fine lip lines seemed to be accentuated. The staying power is fantastic, it does wear for hours! I had to use a makeup remover to remove. Sadly, Super Stay Matte Ink just didn’t seem to be the right product for my thin, dry lips.
