This flour has the most amazing taste. Dont expect pure white pastry and sponge cakes. After baking it has a very slight light caramel colour. I wont use anything else.

It wasnt until I found Bakery Bits that I realised how the same type of flours were different from each other. Stoates Organic flour has a wonderful taste as do all the other flours I have bought. During these difficult times delivery has been excellent and I will always get my flour and accessories from here.

Canβt go wrong with this brand, tend to go for quality over price for flour. Used this for some baking with the kids, the flour is pre-sieved, so itβs a really nice fine consistency, no faffing! Slightly more expensive than store brand, but worth the extra to get a great end product.

I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. An unusual product to be given a free review sample of to be sure, flour's flour right? Well, no. Flour varies considerably, and it's usually worth buying something decent. There are so many flours on the market, but for basic plain flour I usually fallback to McDougalls, the flour always seems a bit less fly away than most of the brands, a little more substantial, more absorbent, slightly coarser mill perhaps. I prefer my cakes to have some body to them, so it's good in my book. I don't usually buy self-raising, but it's useful for a great many recipes. Anyhow, this stuff is better than most of the other brands for plain (as in the protein content) flour. Anyhow, this stuff is better than most of the other brands for plain (as in the protein content) flour. The only thing I'm less keen on is the traditional paper bag packaging, can get damaged overly easily and can't be stored out in the open without infestation risk, more environmentally friendly than the alternatives though I guess.
I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. This is a nice tasty flour, great for cakes, and not too overwhelming on the raising agent. I'd buy it again, although the cheaper supermarket brands are most likely to give a similar result, this is just flour after all.
I particularly like the size of this item, as I do not do as much baking as I used to. I find the larger size too much to use up before the best before date. The flour itself is good too.The only down side is that it is more expensive to buy the small size.
I was sent this by Ocado to review. It made a lovely light apple cake and great light, fluffy scones too. I am not sure whether I would buy this over my normal self raising flour - perhaps if I were making a cake for a special occasion.
I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. What I love about this flour is that it is pre-sifted so now I can enjoy a superior lighter cake without the elbow grease or additional washing up that comes from sifting flour in my sieve getting flour everywhere that needs to be cleaned up! A brilliant idea!
This flour is of superior quality. It makes beautiful spongy cakes that rise well. I love the fact its pre-sieved too. Definitely worth the extra pennies to store brands own flour.
I was in a hurry when buying this order, and did not notice the amount of self rising flour was only 500 grams. I got my $10 bag of flour and was a little surprised to see it was only about two cups of flour. I'm sure it is a high quality flour and it is imported from the UK, so take that into consideration as well when buying. Might be just the right size for taking on a camping or hiking trip for making biscuits. I will not be buying it again, sadly. Too much money for too little flour. I have a picture next to a stick of butter for size comparison. It fits comfortably in my small hand.
