Medela Bottle 150ml 3 Pack

I’m leaving a review for the 3 pack of bottles. I did find these at an amazing price that’s why I picked them up to try out. I purchased the three pack for $6.50 at a local baby/kids shop. The quality of the bottles feel just OKAY, the plastic feels like it can warp easily. All the other bottle brands I’ve used are a harder type of plastic in comparison to these. You can literally press on the bottle and it squeezes in a bit. My ultimate test was how fast the milk would pour out of the nipples and these almost come out wayyyy too fast for my daughter, I think I’ll have to try these again in a couple of months because she’s gulping the milk down too fast/ the milk is dripping out too quickly for her to drink.

I love medela breast milk bottles. The quality and integrity of the product is definitely up there. Even after washing daily, the measurements and logo don't wash off or flake off like some other less expensive brands. The bottles used with a medela pumping system made me feel less guilty about bottle feeding and not physically breastfeeding with my first child. I felt like it was a step above "evil formula" feeding because I was dedicated to feeding my child breastmilk, and to be honest the bottles emulated that goal. I wanted to be as close to exclusively breast fed as possible, and medela bottles made me feel like I was taking every step to accomplish that. I know they're intended for storage, but I used them for feeding all the time. I also didn't feel like freezing milk in the bottles was practical because of storage space in the freezer, and ended up using breast milk storage bags instead. I would recommend these bottles if you use a medela pump and pump regularly. Otherwise, if the cost is forbidding, a less expensive bottle could easily attach to their pumping system, or be used for feeding.

Love the bottles! I was never a huge fan of using bags to store my milk, so the bottles were a huge upgrade for me! I could pump right into these bottles and get a very accurate reading of how much I was producing. They seal very well, and I could refrigerate for the upcoming bottle or freeze for later. When boiling my milk back up from the freezer, these bottles never leaked and never changed shape in the boiling water. I could even change the cap for a nipple by simply screwing one on, and bam, bottle ready to go! These helped a lot for functionality, convenience and longevity!

I absolutely loved these bottles during my breastfeeding journey. I used them during rotation of daily milk pumped throughout the day. These bottles are also accurate when measuring out oz pumped whether to bottle milk or store in breastmilk storage bags. Easy to clean and remove excessive fatty oil from breastmilk stuck on the plastic of the bottles. Great size for travel and all. I’ve used these bottles with a number of different pumps such as the Baby Buddha Spectra. Not just for the Medela Harmony or their other pumps.

Expensive but needed with Medela pump

These bottles are expensive and I find they deteriorate ( the bottle plastic goes funny) after about 6 months of use so need to periodically buy new ones. I only buy them because they go with the Medela breast pump, which is what I use. There are cheaper ones put there that are similar e.g. Tommee Tippee. I would explore different bottles if I had a different pump.

Great convenience! For an exclusive pumping mum

I have been using medela bottles for over 4 months now and very happy with the product.Easy to clean, use and most importantly my baby is able to accept taking this bottle. I have tried other brands eg Dr Browns Tommee Mam and felt that my baby burped the same amount. Only difference is medela bottle saves me so much more time, as I pump into bottle and feed directly. Or pump then store in fridge then when ready warm up, add on bottle teat/cap and we are ready to go out the house.

Great for storage and baby feeding 2 in 1

As an exclusive pumping mum, I have have been using this bottles not just for storage but also adding teat later for feeding baby. Bottle is easy to clean. Although one of the many bottles I have used one day decided to crack just after my pumping session, like a small hair line crack at the bottom of the bottle and milk started leaking. Not sure if this due to age (>3mths) or my method of sterilising which is steam for cleaning and uv fridge for storage.
