Melissa & Doug - Dust! Sweep! Mop!

I tend to love Melissa and Doug toys. I bought this for my oldest sons years (~4) ago. My oldest at the time was enjoying helping me clean around the house, and when I found this set, I thought it was cute and realistic enough for them. Both of my boys loved this set, and it lasted for quite a while. The handles would sometimes loosen, but they screwed into the heads, an easy fix. The product seemed like it was good quality. I loved this set, and it always saved my brooms and mops from being borrowed by my toddlers. I would recommend it.

Mellissa Doug mop and broom set is made of wood and perfect for smaller hands to grasp and use their imagination. The baby loves to try to help us clean up so this was a must for him. Now he grabs his item depending on what he sees us using and get to work. He has used the handles to bang things , swing at imaginary piñatas 😬 etc and all is still good as new. The items are built to last and take a licking. The best part is at the end of play you can organize everything on the stand and keep the pieces in one place neatly together. It comes with a mop, broom, dustpan and duster. Housekeeping anyone .

My daughter loves this brand of toys! Made with wood, it’s sturdy, durable and really life like. This play house kit is the perfect way for kids to use their imagination, while learning how to do actual chores around the house. The size of the broom and mop are perfect sizes for kids to comfortably use, the water bottle actually works, and you can use it with an actual squeegee. There lifelike in appearance, creative for their imagination, and made super well. We have a few of the different Melissa Doug sets, will definitely be buying more in the future. Some are reasonably priced, this one was around $20. For the quality, it’s really worth it.

Adorable and well built

Adorable and well built. My kid loves to help, but all my cleaning tools are too big. We got this and she has been cleaning everything! These are wood, so they are sturdy, and just the right size for little hands. A great toy that really helps mom without the kid knowing that they are actually doing work.

Amazing purchase

My daughter loves this! It was a gift for her for Christmas and she right away got to playing with it. It helps kids incorporate their skills and hand eye coordination. It’s teaching them responsibility and lending a helpful hand. I would highly recommend this. The quality is amazing and it’s definitely worth the price.

Awesome!

My almost-2-year-old son loves this set! When I tell him it’s time to clean, I take out my broom, mop, etc. and he follows me around the house with his tool equivalent and cleans with me. This is a wonderful, well-made toy (and the perfect training tool to get kids used to doing the chores they will someday dread … Baha!) Toddlers love to help and mimic mom and dad. This simple toy teaches kids lifelong skills and the importance of hard work. I also love the stand that’s included; it keeps everything neat and in one place. Great toy!

Great toy except for the storage stand

My 3 year old grandson loves this toy. My only complaint is the storage stand. I know another consumer had an issue with the dowel separating from the base and injuring their child. I have the complete opposite issue - I *want* to separate the two so I can store all the parts in the original packaging box when my grandson isn't here. So kudos on addressing the safety issue of the previous customer but I wish there was a way to make the storage stand easier *to* store when not in use.

Perfect for your pretend play area

This products is so fun and the perfect size for your littles enjoyment. Rather than using my cleaning tools, my kids now use their Melissa and Doug set! It’s the cutest little prop to go along with our kitchen set. The stand is awesome for all the cleaning tools!

it's always a good idea to make cleaning look fun even if we don't think it is! that positive attitude around your kids will help them view chores more positively as they grow older. it's something they will be doing the rest of their lives that we can make better for them. This play set helps make that happen! My son loves to clean with his mommy.

The bottom base injured my kids big toe!!!

The red bottom base is very heavy and appears to be solid wood . This is what the wooden stand or dowel sits in unsecured . There's is absolutely no way to secure the dowel in the base and no safety instructions .My child picked up the wooden dowel and the bottom base dropped on top of her big toe. She was in immense pain for several minutes and couldn't walk on her toe. A hematoma developed under the nail and now the nail is on its way to dying and falling off as it is now black. This product needs to be recalled until they can devise a way to safely secure the dowel to the base plate . DO NOT RECOMMEND!
