Great product and great value for money for a waterproof light jacket. Love the colour I picked but there is an amazing range of colours in the jackets so may order another one in a different colour. Excellent company with very effective and efficient customer service. I ordered the wrong size, small, instead of extra small and it was super easy to request a replacement. Company had fast communications and kept me up-to-date along the way. I'd highly recommend this company! In fact I already have, to my daughter, who will be ordering a jacket and trousers soon.

An unbelievably bright orange. It's fab!

Very good fit, nice fabric, quality taped seams, and in my opinion, essential toggles on the hood. Large fits true to size, which I'm pleased about, as that's the size with the blue zip. Tested it today for its waterproof ability, and yes it is.Oh, and it's ORANGE! Very ORANGE! It's even brighter than the photos! It's fab!Very happy with my purchase, so this brand will be on my "go to" list for the future.

Brilliant comfortable, lightweight waterproofs

Really impressed by these, I haven't been out in the rain with them for hours yet, but on shorter trips of an hour they've kept me completely dry in the lashing rain of the Hebrides. They are so light and packable, but also very comfortable. They fit perfectly over my windbreaker. They keep the wind and rain out, but despite being so thin keep in the warmth just enough, but not too much. The vent at the back stops you getting too hot and prevents condensation. The elasticated cuffs are great, and the drawstring on the hood is good. They are thin, but that's why they're light - time will tell if they're durable enough. You can get lighter from brands like OMM but at a far higher price, and will anything be durable that is that thin? I wanted a quality waterproof jacket small enough to fit into my day pack to ward off those unexpected showers.I bought a medium (I'm a 90cm chest) and at first I thought it was too big but it was a perfect fit and there's enough room to layer if one needed to.It also has 4 spacious pockets.I had the opportunity to test it in a heavy shower. It was totally waterproof and the hood fit well with the drawstring adjustment.All in all, it's perfect for my needs at quite a reasonable price.

Great waterproof jacket at a really good price

I liked the look of the Origin Packable Waterproof Jacket and there are plenty of colours to choose from. I wasn't sure which size would fit best so I ordered two different sizes. They arrived quickly and it was easy to return the jacket which was too big. I'm a size 14/16 and kept the medium - there's room to wear a few layers underneath, but it doesn't look baggy with just a t-shirt underneath. The Ocean jacket I kept is a lovely colour (looks exactly like the pictures). It's had plenty of wear already and is doing a great job - light and waterproof - exactly what I needed. Very reasonably priced when you compare with lightweight waterproof jackets from other brands. I recommend Mac in a Sac and will definitely buy from them again.

Khaki mac in sac

I bought this as a gift as I already have one. It is very useful for outdoors/ dog walking etc. The sac can easily be clipped onto a crossbody bag or belt ready for an unexpected downpour. It fits easily into car glove department too. It has been well tested and is definitely waterproof. I like the colour too. Fits well, only negative from me is that it is difficult to get back into the sac....but that's probably due to my clumsy fingers! Thank you for the quick dispatch too.

Nice jacket. Sizing is really good and as advised. Can easily get more layers under mine. Waterproof seems very good too although I haven’t tested it for extended periods of time in serious rain. Didn’t get too hot and stuffy (which I was worried about with this type of jacket) but again need to wear it more and be more active to see if I do. Unfortunately thought the zip on the blue one was black but it seems to be a navy so which that had been clearer on the description. Really good value though!

Lovely jacket

I needed a new waterproof jacket as my old trespass one was letting in water. I already have some waterproof trousers from Mac in a sac that are great so wanted to order from them. After reading reviews I ordered a medium. When it arrived it was too big (I’m a size 12) so I sent it back at no cost to me to exchange for a small. The fit is perfect and I’m very happy with it. Love the colour too. Haven’t been drenched in it yet but feel confident about its waterproof powers!
