After purchasing and being frustrated with three different types of mandolins in an attempt to shred cheddar and co-Jack cheeses, I discovered this handy tool. It made the chore and clean up so much easier!I would strongly suggest the use of shredding gloves, which I have now ordered, to protect fingers and hands as you shred the final bits of cheese or whatever product you're using.Clean-up under the faucet sprayer works very well to dislodge pieces of cheese. The storing guard is a great addition.(Hint from the relatively inexperienced: have your cheese very cold when shredding as well as when you're sprinkling it on casseroles/dishes. The longer it sits out the more difficult it is to work with.)

My first microplane was the woodworking model years ago. After much use it was not as perfect as it was originally. It was always uncomfortable to use because of the lack of a handle, and was constantly being abused in my tool pot. This one has a handle AND a blade cOver which are super comfortable an protect the micro blades from abuse.
This Microplane zester/grater has made my life so much easier. I love fresh garlic and usually add more than what the recipe calls for. It's easy to use and when finished, just tap it over dish/bowl and then rinse and use dish brush with dish detergent. The turquoise color was not available but I was notified when it was and shipping was fast. Since Covid, BBB has been my go to on line/curb side pick for household items. Five stars for BBB. I've had no problems with my orders and the one time I had to return is very easy.
I have had this grater for many years now and I love how comfortable it sits in your hand (yes it has the comfortable OXO-esk rubber handle).Tip: You can use it to shave off brown spots on cauliflower and it is super satisfying :D
I have been wanting to get this zester for a long time based on the rave reviews from the Internet.This zester is awesome. It is super sharp and produces most uniform and fine flakes from any product. It shaves just the very top of the citrus fruit. And it doesn't crush it like some other graters do. I have tried it on citrus zest, ginger, cheese, garlic. In fact I now use every opportunity to use it. The only thing to watch out for is your hands.
I love this kitchen gadget. It's sharp so it zests well and easily. Much easier to handle than a box grater or any other grater for that matter. I like how the top catches the zest and I can just scoot it into the dish. It's very easy to use and clean. I like the protective case for the drawer but at the same time it's hard to towel dry the zester so I have to leave it out until it is dry before I put it away into the case which can take quite a while.
This grater works very easily and thoroughly. We typically use it for Parmesan, but I'm sure it will work for many other foods. The blades are quite sharp and strong, resulting in a lot of material being grated in a short time. Also like that it comes with a sheath to protect it when not in use.
This Zester rocks! I have a box grater, salad shooter, food processor and a OXO hard cheese grater. For grating some fine Parmesan onto the top of a dish, this is the best; shreds are fine and fluffy. Far superior to any other method of adding this cheese; the wife will only use this one to add Parmesan. Works great on zesting also. trims off just the zest and leaves the pith. It is sharp enough to work on soft citrus too!
