It’s a great windows laptop but I returned it. Prefer apple MacBook Pro. The trackpad is what I don’t love. But I’m very used to Mac. Couldn’t switch in the end. Personal preference.

I have had two earlier models of the surface models with the detachable keyboards. This one is very simular in weight, and I love how this one can sit in your lap. I'm also just impressed with the battery life. I'm using this more and more love the way it also connects to the docking station I have.

I'm also just impressed with the battery life. I'm using this more and more love the way it also connects to the docking station I have.
Feels as light on my lap as the Surface Pro. Keyboard is a huge improvement - one of the best I have used. The only similarity to the Type keyboard is the faux suede covering, which is very nice to the feel. It looks good as well. Performance is what you would expect from a laptop with these specs - i.e. very good. Battery life rivals that of my Surface Book - without the heft of two batteries. I don't require convertibility to a tablet, so I find it perfect for my use. I do not use the pen, so can't grade in that department. I am very satisfied with the laptop and always look forward to using it.
If you haven't heard about Chrome, Firefox, or Opera, and using only MS IE (Edge), this laptop should be a good fit for you. A fast computer with excellent screen and trendy design, what else you could ask for, right? It turns out that Microsoft has decided to be worse than Apple and to completely ban any of the rivals on their platform. This might not be a big deal for some, but I like how Chrome synchronizes my phone, work and home computer, but with Win10 S this is not possible.
I was very excited to buy this laptop ... the first top-end laptop purchase of my life. I remain excited about learning about the many capabilities of the machine ... and I marvel at how such a small light machine is capable of so much. Unfortunately, my laptop stopped working one day after I had owned it for 2 weeks. I could no longer turn it on. To make matters worse, when I took it back to where I bought it, they informed me that it would take 1 - 3 weeks before it came back from the repair depot. It has been over 2 weeks now & still I don't have the machine. If it does take the full 3 weeks to be repaired, I will have owned the machine for 6 weeks and it will only have worked for 2 of those weeks. Colour me sad ... for now ... but hopeful.
As an avid, and once loyal HP customer, I am pleasantly surprised at how awesome this laptop is. It's fast, light weight, and affordable. I'm using for teaching online because it meets all the requirements and then some. I'll have to use an external webcam, not because the built in one is horrible, it's just not that good.
I really like how fast it is and all the up to date features of Win 10 Pro which is a free upgrade from the Win 10S that it starts out with. It is really easy to get the Pro version; simply download a non Microsoft store program and you will get the choice to get the Pro version. Just click on "get" and you have it instantly. Very light and I especially like the magnetic power connector to recharge the battery. It also will open windows with a facial scan from the camera instead of a code entry. Code entry is a back up for the facial ID. I really also like the touch screen that also magnifies with 2 fingers. If you need a number pad, external DVD and head phones, you can do them all with Bluetooth simultaneously.
This is a really nice and very fast computer with a beautiful high resolution display, great keyboard and slick appearance. I would recommend to Microsoft to make Windows 10 pro the default operating system as that's what most users want these days. Windows 10S is too restrictive allowing users to download software only from the Microsoft store. Luckly it was free to upgrade to Windows 10 pro. Windows tech support told me in broken English it would be $49... not true!
computer arrived dead, the wrong charger was sent with it. the felt area around the keypad was stained yellow and gross. The company was not responding to my requests for a charging cord. I returned it back to walmart unused.
