The Surface Laptop Studio 2 is a powerhouse of productivity. I use it to video edit while at the same time using Edge and PowerPoint &it never misses a beat. The battery life is very good. I also love the pen options and using the new Microsoft journal app while utilizing the tablet mode angles. This is definitely what I needed as an all in one plus power.
I like that it has a good fan, many screen options and lots of storageI do not like it's heavy weight, the screen dislodges too easily and it's a small screen so hard for old eyes to read. Mine is being very slow for a one week old laptop as well but that's probably not the computers fault.
I've never owned a Surface device before. I do all my work on a 14" Macbook Pro and I game on a cheap gaming laptop, but I really wanted one single device that could do it all. This device fulfilled all of my requirements. I finally found a Windows device that's as good as my Macbook. It's not necessarily bad, but I wouldn't expect any unit variance for this premium of a device.General observations:The color of the device is very close to the "Starlight" Macbook Air color. It's an off-silver with a hint of goldI wish the contrast between the keyboard and chassis was greater. An all-black keyboard would look incredible.More ports compared to Studio 1. Micro SD card and USB-A were added.There is an ambient light sensor which makes the screen colder or warmer depending on your environment. In my picture, you can see the difference between the Surface with the feature turned on and my MBP with the feature turned off.
Powerful, yet portable beast of a laptop. Great screen and a powerful processor with decent battery life, depending on what you're doing of course. Great screen and capable of gaming, although the palm rest gets uncomfortably hot when pushing both the CPU and GPU. Overall, I'd recommend it if you've got money to burn and can benefit from this form factor.
Very fast. Easy to set up. Working fine so far. Works with the devices I have from the last Microsoft Surface I owned.
