This is my absolute favorite socket wrench I've ever had. I bought it with all the slick sockets. Maybe after the 5th use the internals of the tighten and loosen lever just literally fell out. A spring and a bearing. I was shocked. Milwaukee makes the best tools and this puppy just fell apart. I went to warranty at Home Depot but they don't have socket wrench. Just the full socket kits. I'm at a loss.

I like all the rest wanted these to be great tools, but disappointment when.. like the rest the 3/8 head sheared right off, I also did not keep my receipt, craftsman never required it. I bought into Milwaukee years back because I could replace most of the parts myself if necessary but it seems finding a rebuild kit for this ratchet is also impossible

Bought the 3/8 ratchet set nice box and sockets. Thought I would use this for quite some time until one day after a few uses of its life time the gear slipped badly. Very disappointed on the internal quality. For light works only if that’s the case. Don’t need a 3/8 for light works….

This ratchet is absolute junk the teeth stripped out on a bolt that a harbor freight cheap pittsburgh ratchet had no problem breaking….. and when it comes to getting it fixed or replaced, good luck, you cant replace it without reciept…. Who in their right mind keeps receipts for all their hand tools
I got this wrench as part of a SAE/Metric set, which I use regularly…but the wrench is the biggest disappointment of the set. It reverses direction when being used or jams which is annoying. I find myself using the set with a Masterforce wrench from Menards, which is a fraction of the cost. Bottom line, great set but a bad wrench.
I love milwaukee tools, but i bought the 3/8 metric/ sae kit and the ratchet failed. The gear stripped out. I wish i could find a repair kit so i can fix it but i cant find any at all online, cause home depot wont exchange it. Because i purchased it over a year ago, Home depot says they dont honor milwaukees warrenties for any of thier tools. It sucks cause i had high hopes for the hand tools for my job and they are already failing me.
I have a ton of Milwaukee and love every one of them. I spent the crazy $42 on this ratchet but being Milwaukee I expected it to be heavy duty. I am restoring a car and I can’t express how frustrating it is to have the gear set strip on your main ratchet when taking on a big job. I took it back to farm and fleet for the “lifetime warranty “ that is on the package and was told they would only honor it with a receipt. There is no way I can keep receipts for all my tools. I attempted to fix it myself since the warranty wouldn’t be honored but once inside the ratchet I found the gear set to be worn and super loose. Now it just sits in my box and I had to buy another ratchet. Maybe this ratchet would be better for someone who only uses it moderately
got 2-3 uses out of it and the next time i picked it up the head just spin freely in both positions. it was great until it wasn’t! I really expected it to be more durable though. Feels like the gears just completely stripped. I called the warranty number and they said they’d send me another one so we shall see how that goes. I really hope the second go around is better.
Those of you that are saying things like 'My ratchet broke after one use,' you were not using your ratchet properly. Maybe don't add a freaking 3ft pipe on the handle of it and you won't have that issue. I have a breaker bar for that. I'm tired of the negative feedback from people using their tools improperly, and then proceeding to blame the manufacturer of said tools for a failure that the owner caused.I've had mine for 3 years now and I love it. The ratcheting mechanism is very durable if you take care of the tool. I have never broken a single part inside of mine. Ever. This is hands down the single best ratchet that I have ever used.
Broke after using it the first time. Very disappointed. I seen the milwaukee f150 truck in the home depot one day and grabbed the wrench figured they would help me. Tracked her down and she didn't have the time of day for me. She wasn't helping another customer or anything. Just chatting with a home depot employee. She looked at it and said "I can't fix that" I said isn't it suppose to have a lifetime warranty? To that She replied "I guess. You will have to go online" I'll probably never purchase Milwaukee ever again. It's in first disappointment as far as quality of tools.. but the way she handled it made me wonder.
