You put the front rail in and the side rail pops out, so to make it easier for first time assemblers an assistant to help hold things straight is a good idea. Brilliant shelving when fully assembled. Have a rubber mallet or soft hammer on hand to Knock the rails 'Home and I mean Home'! The unit comes with 2 wall securing screws and plugs for added stability and safety. I only wish the unit came with a three side curtain.

The cheapest option in Bunnings, it has the best value compared to other several brands. It does the job, it is quite stable. easily assemble. I bought 3 of these, the 1st one I assemble I need to redo several times due to my lack of experience with assembling this kind of product.It also matches the size of Pinnacle 1810 x 410mm Matte Black Metal Pegboard which made them a perfect pair.Attention, you need a hammer for assembling it. Any hammer is fine, I prefer the one to stabilise tiles or floors, it is a bit softer as the material isn't metal.

Positives: powder coated finish makes the product aesthetically appealing, easy to assemble (with a mallet), shelves can be easily bolted together to increase stability and the price is much more competitive than others. Negatives: paint can scrape off at joints and another set of hands with the base construction would have been helpfull (but not essential). Overall impression of the product is very positive, went into the store with plans to spend much more and came away with a much cheaper solution to my storage needs (the end product [3x] is used in my spare room so excessive shelf load limits was not a high concern).

This shelf is easy to setup and then best “left” alone. The 4 vertical support legs are split in two and are only resting on each other by its weight, and a pin to align them. This is a flaw because the middle shelf is supposed to stabilise and hold together the upper-half of the shelf to the lower half. But because the shelf keyholes for the upper and lower legs are not completely aligned to the middle shelf support pegs, it has no support. Look at the photos. The first photo shows an older shelf with the correct way: the upper leg keyhole is aligned to the middle shelf upper peg, and the lower keyhole is aligned to the middle shelf lower peg. Everything is relatively more stable as the middle shelf now holds the top and bottom half of the entire rack together.The next photo shows how the shelf currently is. The keyholes of the upper and lower legs are not aligned. The upper leg is not secured to the lower leg or middle shelf, because the keyhole of the upper half is cut in half.The way to fix this is to buy some extra brackets and secure it all together. See 3rd photo. This adds extra time, cost and hassle. I would rather pay more upfront and have the support legs one piece, or be provided with brackets to secure them together. I would have returned this, but couldn’t be bothered disassembling everything.
Terrible. Described as heavy duty shelving, but it is utterly flimsy. The corner rails are not one long piece, but rather two shorter pieces of metal stacked on top of each other. The two pieces are simply stacked - metal 2mm thick edge directly on metal 2mm thick edge, with a small nail to connect the two. There is no overlap. Actually just balancing on top of each other. The nail slots from one piece to the other vertically. We bought this for a garden shed planning to store garden goods / tools on the top shelves. We would only feel comfortable putting sand paper / paint brushes on the upper shelves.

Got our teenage kids to put them together. Thanks to those that mentioned about the mould. We undercoated and painted all the shelves, which was the only drawback of these shelves - they come in raw MDF and need to be sealed. They took a little longer to finish, but hope to get a lot of good years out of them. The best of all - we can actually find everything now that it’s all organised. For those who said the joint was flimsy, that was because they need a shelf on the joint to make it sturdy (see attached pictures) in addition to the pins. I bought this on Monday, 13th of June, 2022.Assembly is pretty straight forward, similar to other shelving units.Pros: As described. Oh, and very cheap.Con's: You get what you pay for! WEAR A MASK and if you want goggles. Highly recommended. It is dull of saw dust. About 1 cup of extra fine dust. 3 out of 5 shelves had a "banana" issue. One a fair amount, the other two less so.So, you have been warned.I got mine from Keysborough. Great and friendly staff.Would I recommend it? Still yes! At $48 it is a good deal.
I bought this shelf for extra storage in the garage, and it has been perfectly fine for that, and certainly strong enough. Not too difficult to assemble if you pay careful attention to the instructions, and a rubber mallet definitely helps to get everything together. I also had to use a screwdriver to push some of the supporting pins into place. The MDF shelves are unpainted, so it may be worth painting them if they are likely to be affected by moisture or get stained from stuff stored on them. Overall good value for money.

It's flimsy and the system is really simple - place it into the large keyhole and it drops down to the small keyhole locking the shelving brackets into place. However, like all kit sets there is always an issue. In this case, the brackets don't drop down into the small part of the keyhole and I had to get a hammer and use the flat side to bang them into place. The other issue is there is zero stability in moving them even an inch and I was trying to place them in a space that meant I had to build them outside the area I wanted them and then slide them in but they kept dismantling even after I banged the shelves down. I thought I’d be fine moving my shelving unit after it was built, with my printer and a couple of other small items ie Dremel and diy toolbox, and one of the sheet metal legs twisted.
