Over the last handful of years I've been trying various dry shampoo brands as I've been making an effort to wash my hair less and use less heat on it. I happened to try this one last year and it is absolutely my favorite. It's got a beautiful kind of beachy scent that is noticeable but not overpowering. Most other brands, even that have a pleasant smell have that obvious aerosolized smell about them, while his doesn't seem to. As a matter of fact, my boyfriend usually complains about the smell of the ones I use, but has never said anything bad about this one and has even mentioned that my hair smells nice after I've used it. I also really like that the spray is directed at an angle, so I feel application is more effective and I'm not wasting the product because it ... MoreOver the last handful of years I've been trying various dry shampoo brands as I've been making an effort to wash my hair less and use less heat on it. It does an amazing job making my hair look clean and soft, even after a workout or when my hair has started to look obviously oily. It's also got a light Violet tone to it, as this is intended for light hair. I am Platinum but naturally very dark brown, so when my roots are growing back in this tends to blend things together a little bit as well. It's a little bit pricey, but it's so Superior to any others I've tried that this has become my go-to dry shampoo. I can't say enough good things about it.

Overall, I really like this dry shampoo, but it has some caveats. The pros first. It smells GREAT! It’s very moisturizing for a dry shampoo, so it definitely won’t dry your hair or scalp out. It does go on white (doesn’t matter that it’s for darker tones) but brushes out / blends in perfectly clear without residue. It doesn’t feel like you have anything in your hair because it’s so lightweight. The one con: doesn’t do a good job at being an actual dry shampoo-that is, it doesn’t absorb oil well. I spray it on my freshly washed and dried hair to prevent oil, but if you’re hair is already oily, this won’t do a good job of absorbing/ refreshing. It will just make your hair smell good. If you know it’s limitations and how to use it, it’s worth it.

I have tried a few different dry shampoos (both powders and aerosols) but didn’t like that I could “feel” the product on my hair. It always left me wanting to wash my hair by the end of the day to feel fresh again. This is the first one I’ve tried where I don’t feel like that, it honestly feels like I just washed my hair! Smells great, super effective at removing the greasy look from roots with being drying, and is easy to apply. The only down side for me is that it is pricey and as an aerosol it doesn’t seem to last as long as powders. But that’s not enough to remove any stars for me. Highly recommend!

I have tried many and I mean many dry shampoos from drug store to high end and let me tell you this is the best one yet. I have struggled with oily scalp and hair for a few years and this product just takes that away. The thing I really like about this dry shampoo is that it does not leave my hair crispy (idk how to explain the feeling) but you don't even feel like there is product on your hair after you spray and run your fingers through it. I usually use it on second and third day hair and it refreshes my hair. This is my third time buying this dry shampoo and I don't even know how to explain it but it has cause my scalp to not be oily anymore. like can go 3 days without washing my hair because of this dry shampoo. I NEVER write reviews but I am so frustrated at this product I have to tell people my experience. So I sprayed it on as instructed. Of course, like all dry shampoo, it leaves a white residue. I gave it 30 mins to settle in, but unfortunately, I still looked like snow from X-men. So I decided to dab a little water to get rid of the white (which usually does the trick with all the dry shampoos from Walmart you know the $7.00 ones), 30 mins later I checked on it, and now it had clumps of white in my hair. At this point I already did my make-up and put on my outfit, now I had to put water all over my roots and top to get rid of the white residue. The point I am making is if it took 2 hours to sort this situation out and I am still unhappy with the white here and there, ... MoreI NEVER write reviews but I am so frustrated at this product I have to tell people my experience. I don't know why people go crazy with anything and everything Moroccanoil. Also, I have like two or 3 white hair and I think I sprayed those with the "Dark tone dry shampoo"... the strands are still white yall. Moroccan oil according to me you missed the assignment.
Love this product. The powder mist is super fine and soft feeling, and it doesn’t leave a stiffness/texture/grip in the hair, which I really prefer—it just leaves my hair feeling light and clean. I have level 3 hair naturally (so a very dark brown-black) and I truly don’t understand what people are talking about with a white cast. The mist comes out tan/beige and very very quickly meshes into the hair—it doesn’t make my roots look ashy like most dry shampoos do. I’m glad it’s not any darker like a lot of dry shampoos for brunettes tend to be, because then it ends up dying your skin or clothing—this beige is perfect. It’s great for use on second or even first day hair to get extra fluffiness and prevent oils from building up, but because it’s such a fine, soft formula, if your hair is super dirty (and thick like mine) you may need to use a lot to get the desired outcome, so that’s the only downside; you’ll go through it fairly quickly. It also isn’t super long-lasting; I’ll need to keep applying each day I don’t wash. The smell is pretty good, not too overwhelming and my husband likes it. And lastly, it doesn’t irritate my scalp—I have terrible issues with dry shampoos giving me painful scalp acne, and I’ve never have an issue with this. Overall a beautiful formula, and I’ll always keep on hand for lighter refresh jobs and save my Amika for heavy lifting days.
After much trial and error, I have finally found "The One".My hair is baby fine and straight. This shampoo is super light and an application lasts and lasts.I spray it onto the roots, let it sit for a minute, then gently massage it in. I'll give my hair a quick brush-through then I'm on my way. And one unexpected perk: the product smells amazing. While at the store a couple times I've had strangers standing in line behind me tell me I smell great when I've used this and on days I've used the regular moisture repair shampooo & conditioner. Bonus! :D
I can't stand this product. I really hate the feeling of greasy hair so I wash my hair every other day, and wanted to try out a dry shampoo for the days I don't wash. This is awful. It weighs down my hair and makes it look flat. I was hoping it might give my roots the volume they have on wash day, but this just makes my hair feel heavy and look dull. It doesn't freshen it up at all. Additionally, I was hoping this may have a nice scent since most Moroccanoil products have that nice signature scent, but it just smells like a generic dry shampoo to me. This has absolutely not worked for my hair. For context, I have very long dense and fine level 7 hair with highlights. Total flop I would not recommend this.
I love this dry shampoo! Usually dry shampoos make my head very itchy and leaves a residual on my fingers when I scratch my head and this is nothing! Makes it feel like regular shampoo and it's super light! A popular brand from ulta that I was using left my hair super stiff and it had dark tones as well but always afraid to rub my fingers through my hair because it would my fingertips brown from the shampoo! I was able to use this dry shampoo for multiple days before I had to wash! Usually I can last maybe a day before I have to wash! This will be a staple in my hair routine and I don't have a hair routine 🤣
I have tried more dry shampoos than I care to admit & this one is now my fave. I always went back to LP PhD forever. But this is my go-to now. It smells divine! And does not overly dry my hair or cause breakage. Any white residue can be avoided by holding the nozzle down all the way & lightly sweep around from the instructed distance wait a sec, then brush out. But what I have done is pressed down lightly, so it does come out a little white (even tho it has a purple tone to it) & have used it to fade in my roots. It is just amazing & if u are sitting on it, stop. Also, no build up or flakies left on wash day.
