Over the last handful of years I've been trying various dry shampoo brands as I've been making an effort to wash my hair less and use less heat on it. I happened to try this one last year and it is absolutely my favorite. It's got a beautiful kind of beachy scent that is noticeable but not overpowering. Most other brands, even that have a pleasant smell have that obvious aerosolized smell about them, while his doesn't seem to. As a matter of fact, my boyfriend usually complains about the smell of the ones I use, but has never said anything bad about this one and has even mentioned that my hair smells nice after I've used it. I also really like that the spray is directed at an angle, so I feel application is more effective and I'm not wasting the product because it ... It does an amazing job making my hair look clean and soft, even after a workout or when my hair has started to look obviously oily. It's also got a light Violet tone to it, as this is intended for light hair. I am Platinum but naturally very dark brown, so when my roots are growing back in this tends to blend things together a little bit as well. It's a little bit pricey, but it's so Superior to any others I've tried that this has become my go-to dry shampoo. I can't say enough good things about it.

As someone with insanely oily, dark hair, I’ve used MANY other brands of dry shampoo. Because I work in the beauty industry, I feel the constant pressure to look and feel good, but my oily scalp made it extremely difficult to feel good about my self everyday. I decided to pick up a bottle at a beauty supply store just to try and now it’s the only brand I’ll use. My scalp was always irritated and broke out using other brands, but with this one my scalp is completely healthy! It also does not have that waxy, gross feeling that most others have— literally feels like I washed my hair. Moroccan Oil dry shampoo is a game changer! The best my hair has ever felt and looked thanks to Moroccan Oil!

This is the best dry shampoo and swear I’ve tried them all! I have fine hair that can get limp and oily after only one night without this. The day I shower (while my hair still feels “clean”) I spray this along my hairline and any face framing pieces and it allows me to extend the time between showers while still looking fresh. What makes this a game changer compared to others: it doesn’t make my hair feel stiff, it doesn’t build up as much and bother my scalp, it has a nice lighter scent that isn’t overpowering, and it doesn’t leave a white cast on my hair. Note aerosol isn’t great for the environment (or travel!) and aerosol sprays aren’t as good of a value as powdered dry shampoo so I usually keep a powder/shake-on option on hand as an alternative to this spray ... I NEVER write reviews but I am so frustrated at this product I have to tell people my experience. So I sprayed it on as instructed. Of course, like all dry shampoo, it leaves a white residue. I gave it 30 mins to settle in, but unfortunately, I still looked like snow from X-men. So I decided to dab a little water to get rid of the white (which usually does the trick with all the dry shampoos from Walmart you know the $7.00 ones), 30 mins later I checked on it, and now it had clumps of white in my hair. At this point I already did my make-up and put on my outfit, now I had to put water all over my roots and top to get rid of the white residue. The point I am making is if it took 2 hours to sort this situation out and I am still unhappy with the white here and there, I should have just sucked it up, washed my head, and blow dry it. I don't know why people go crazy with anything and everything Moroccanoil. Also, I have like two or 3 white hair and I think I sprayed those with the "Dark tone dry shampoo"... the strands are still white yall. Moroccan oil according to me you missed the assignment.
I love the formula and the scent. Works REALLY great for my thin hair and is extension safe. There is no white cast and it adds a lot of volume. If I was rating on just the formula it would be a 5/5 stars. However, the cost is insanely expensive for what you get. My bottles only last about 3 weeks (and that's using it about 3 days out of the week). So I get about 10 uses out of it before its empty which is ridiculous. If the price was more affordable I could understand. A bottle of Batiste lasts 1.5 months minimum and is what - $8? I love this formula so I keep buying it although it is not a great rate of return on value.
I used to use Batiste dry shampoo religiously as it was cost effective and got the job done. I tried this and will forever buy this from now on. The smell is the class Moroccanoil fragrance and is subtle for a dry shampoo. The feel of this dry shampoo is the real selling point. It feels silky and lightweight, I don't physically feel the buildup on my scalp the way I did with other dry shampoos. It actually feels like this dry shampoo removes or neutralizes oil, rather than just reducing the appearance while feeling like I'm adding more product to my hair to sit on top of oil. Also, I've tried both the light and dark tones. If you have a medium hair color, either one will work!
I regularly curl my hair, so I like to get the most out of it by washing my hair every 3-4 days. And the crazy thing about this dry shampoo is that I get more compliments on my 4th-day hair with the dry shampoo than I do right after styling it. This dry shampoo completely refreshes my hair, but it also makes my hair so much lighter and summery. I've gotten asked more than once if I've gotten highlights after putting this on. My ONLY complaint is that the smell is SO strong, and the woman I live with has fragrance sensitivities so it gives her a really bad headache. So I just wish there was a fragrance-free version because this scent is very very strong and not my favorite. Otherwise, this is an amazing dry shampoo and I will be a customer for life.
I can't stand this product. I really hate the feeling of greasy hair so I wash my hair every other day, and wanted to try out a dry shampoo for the days I don't wash. This is awful. It weighs down my hair and makes it look flat. I was hoping it might give my roots the volume they have on wash day, but this just makes my hair feel heavy and look dull. It doesn't freshen it up at all. Additionally, I was hoping this may have a nice scent since most Moroccanoil products have that nice signature scent, but it just smells like a generic dry shampoo to me. This has absolutely not worked for my hair. For context, I have very long dense and fine level 7 hair with highlights. Total flop I would not recommend this.
I bought this because my usual brand of dry shampoo has been unavailable due to a shortage, and I was reassured by the high ratings for Moroccan Oil brand on this site. I find it to be a very poor product, despite costing nearly twice as much. It temporarily improves the oiliness, but within hours it feels greasier than before I applied it. The addition of oil to a product that is supposed to absorb oil is baffling. I am genuinely astonished by the number of positive ratings for this product and can only guess that many reviewers haven't had the chance to try a really quality dry shampoo. I also find the scent overpowering, but I am quite sensitive to scents so this may not bother the average user.
I have tried more dry shampoos than I care to admit & this one is now my fave. I always went back to LP PhD forever. But this is my go-to now. It smells divine! And does not overly dry my hair or cause breakage. Any white residue can be avoided by holding the nozzle down all the way & lightly sweep around from the instructed distance wait a sec, then brush out. But what I have done is pressed down lightly, so it does come out a little white (even tho it has a purple tone to it) & have used it to fade in my roots. It is just amazing & if u are sitting on it, stop. Also, no build up or flakies left on wash day.
