Moroccanoil Root Boost 250 ml

This is an extremely wonderful root booster that definitely delivers dramatic and long lasting volume and texture. It really helped to target the root area to create excellent volume with heat styling. My hair was soft and shiny without being crunchy. Had a flexible hold that lasted almost all day. Highly recommend.

My hair is paper thin, and literally everything makes it look greasy. I was fully expecting this product to give me that greasy look, but gave it a shot because I love this brand. I sprayed generously only at the roots on my towel dried hair and then blow dried as normal. To my complete surprise, my hair is NOT greasy, and there’s actually some volume!! It almost feels like it removed the grease/moisture from the roots, which gave the hair some grit so it could create volume. Highly recommend!

I love most Moroccanoil products but this one was a miss for me. I was looking for a product to spray at my roots to help achieve some volume. My thick hair seems to always be flat up top. I spray a little bit of this product near my crown prior to blow drying and styled using a round brush. This product seemed to weigh my hair down worse than usual and also made it feel and look greasy. Not what I was going for at all. I plan on trying this product again, as it was expensive and I have a lot of product left.

Funky Smell

Now I’ve never given a Moroccanoil product anything less than 5 stars, but this product has definitely rubbed me the wrong way. I got this for free as a sample with one of my orders. I was super stoked about it because I had been contemplating on purchasing for a while, but hadn’t yet, so I thought I scored pretty big when I got it for free. When I used it I was immediately glad I never wasted the money. The smell of this product is just foul. Now I don’t know if I got an old bottle and that’s why it was free or what but the smell is just disgusting. The texture it left my hair was even worse. Felt like I just sprayed hairspray in my hair at the roots. I had to rewatch my hair to get it out along with the smell. There was no covering up the smell otherwise. Natural volume, but need to use with hair dryer

This is a great, underrated product. A lot of people appear to not know how to use it though, since it is a bit tricky. You need to use it when you dry your hair with a hair dryer, otherwise it will look a bit wet and crunchy. When you use your hair dryer, it breaks the crunch and activates the product, and it makes the product not feel at all crunch, leaving your roots up and making your hair looks very naturally and subtly voluminous.

Pleasant surprise

I was having trouble getting this product. A search brought up LaLa Daisy. I was afraid it wasn't legit but the reviews convinced me otherwise. The product came within days of my ordering it and the price was significantly less than what I had paid before. I'm excited to discover LaLa Daisy and plan to continue ordering from them.

The best root booster I’ve ever used!!!!!

I have very thin, very fine hair. A lot of products will weigh down my hair or make it look greasy. Even products that are supposed to volumize or thicken my hair. But this stuff? I am in LOVE with it. I have this and the Moroccan oil thickener lotion that I use with my revlon hairbrush dryer and it works wonders!! My only issue is if I do actually spray the product directly on my roots I’ll end up with spots that are kind of crunchy after my hair is dried or it leaves an unpleasant texture where the product built up too much. So I would recommend spraying onto your fingertips and then working it through your roots instead!!!! That’s what works best for me to get it distributed more evenly. This product is a game changer - a must for anyone with fine, limp hair (like my short pixie) who desires full, thick, voluminous hair looking natural. It does exactly what it says when used as directed. But there was "but" at first for me. When I first used it it was a terrible disappointment. What I did: I washed my hair with M volume shampoo, towel dried, used volume mousse and then forgot to shake the can and applied root boost in my hands and directly onto my hair, like I always did with my old products. Hair I always wanted but no product ever delivered. FULL, THICK, SHINY, SOFT hair. No dryness, stiffness, stickiness or other visually unappealing ugliness. Long story short (too late for that I see) BUY IT, LOVE IT!

amazing

I usually use matrix wonder boost but I get a lot of my stuff from Sephora. I figured this is the same price as matrix but I didn’t have to pay for s/h for two separate items on different sites. Glad I tried this. This stuff smells good and is a little tackier than matrix and I don’t need a whole lot to get the volume I want. It leaves my hair soft and not sticky and works just as great on day 2 hair or just reviving what’s in my hair with some water and floofing up. Will order this stuff again. Haven’t had any issues with spraying. I like this better than matrix wonder boost.

not too bad

It was okay but the mist works better for me. although this is more worth the price but both does the same job. The spray is denser in texture and I have thin hair so I prefer the mist over this for volume setting . Would not repurchase this tho but would go for the mist for sure
