I bought this board as an upgrade for a friends' PC. His old 2500K setup had died and he wanted a good bang for the buck build. MicroCenter had this board for $159 and the R5 5600 was only $139. After rebate, the combined pair was less than $300. The board had a couple hitches when I first tried to fire it up, but it worked fine after I reset the power. Not sure why this happened. I've been using this board for a couple weeks now and I have not had any issues. I've been able to manually ramp up the memory speeds without any issues.The BIOS version that came on this board supports newer processors like the 5800x3d and the 5700x out of the box. I didn't have to go through the hassle of flashing the BIOS to run it with the 5700x I had bought. For context, I'm just getting into building computers...I wanted to make a "powered by AMD" build and this was definitely a good choice for a board. Headers were easy to locate and plug into. Nice subdued look with a switch to turn off rgb of motherboard if desired, which lead to a cleaner look overall. Built in Wi-Fi definitely a plus. And it has an integrated i/o shield! This board will do more than most anyone would need, great port selection, awesome VRM you name it; however it does come with its flaws. I have two NVMe drives, a soundcard, and a WiFi/Bluetooth card all alongside my GPU, however this board has very strangely limited arrangements of PCIe distribution when you use this many devices simultaneously. This really would not be an issue for most any average person using this for a standard gaming build and is more than well equipped to handle such tasks though I wish it was better for PCIe as this was not an issue with my previous (non-HEDT) board.
First build ever using this board from an open box purchase. Everything runs good. BIOS was pretty easy to use and setting up windows on it was straightforward. Not sure if the board has to do with it, but the start up speeds (using a 1TB SSD primary) are magnificent. I also had my ram sticks in the wrong slots and the bios did a good job telling me where I should insert them instead. The black and sharp styling goes well with my Gigabyte 3060 TI and everything was super easy to plug in.
Solid motherboard for the price. The only issues I had with the build process were more or less on me. The M.2 screws are soooooooo small and in a tiny plastic bag that's easy to miss. I thought they had been left out of the box, but later found the small bag sandwiched between pages of product info in the box. The other issue was seating the RAM. The last time I built a computer both sides of the DIMM slot had tabs that opened - DIMM slots on this board only open on one side. After spending way longer than I care to admit trying to get the RAM seated, I turned to Youtube and found that you have to partially insert the memory on the side without the tab, then basically walk the memory down to the side with the open tab. I love the features on the board but ive had so many issues with it. I cannot currently recommend this board. I got CPU light on the first board and i tried 3 different cpus that are working on other PCs. On the 2nd board i got it had a permanent DRAM light that would not come off. I tried 6 different ram that work on other pcs, i did cmos reset and i did bios flashback, tried a different but working power supply and nothing would remove the dram light. I am going to try a 3rd board. If it works i will change my review because i really like this board but i find it hard to believe there was 2 lemons given to me back to back.

My build included a Ryzen 5 500 series, no graphics CPU with heat sink and fan(this means I needed a graphics card ), 2 16Gb sticks of RAM, and an NVIDIA 8Gb HDMI/DVI/Display Port graphics card.The firmware level on the motherboard worked as is, but there was a very recent update available, which was loaded later in the build. All components are win-11 ready. I did need to use a USB Wi-Fi stick to get the proper software in as the drivers on the CD needed to be installed. But that said, the installation went as hoped. Eb=berthing works beautifully. Nice rainbow colors displaying through the workstation case. No jitters etc., from the graphics, clean sound via the onboard optical connector to my amplifier. This MB sits in a space where it's better quality and has better features than budget boards, but is also clearly not a top end overclocking board either. I used it in a lower-mid tier gaming build and this was one of my nicer components. It leaves me plenty of room to upgrade without being completely out of line in terms of cost.I really like ease of build on this board and the quality BIOS setup. That and getting one of the better audio chipsets.The potential cons are paying more than one of the better budget boards and the limited USB ports on the back (but plenty of headers for front IO to make up for it with the right case).
