My chain & sprocket were incredibly dirty (100% black, even though they was originally silvery gray), but I was able to get it back to the original condition with two very liberal applications of this - which used up almost the entire bottle. Wiped it off with a rag afterwards; no water hose needed. But do put down a towel below your chain or you will get the dripoff stuck into the pavement. I expect it will last for 4-6 times if you clean regularly.

Been using this from the get go and it's still great, good value and really strips the gunk off your chain nicely. Even gets the oil etc. off your hands when you're done! The precision nozzle means you can get the chain from all sides, it comes out in a reasonably tight spray so you don't need to worry about trying to tape up other bits you don't want getting covered in it. Can't recommend this stuff enough.

The bottle's directions say you can simply spray and be done. I believe it. My chain's teens hundreds of miles of grime mostly feel off with only a spray dousing with this stuff. I used a brushing and quick rinse spray to get the chain gleaming. I bought after watching FortNine's video comparison of various cleaners. I was previously using straight kerosene, but I'm not sold on Muc-Off's Chain Cleaner. A bit of premium price compared to kerosene, but worth it for better results and piece of mind that this stuff isn't penetrating into my o rings.

Does what it's supposed to do. I can't think of a higher praise than that. Even with just a rag, I was able to get off a lot of buildup. With a brush, chain looked new again. Only critique is that it's pricy for a degreaser, but can't really argue with the results.
Like others, I started using this after watching FortNine's video on YouTube. If your chain isn't a grimey, caked-on mess, this cleaner will be more than adequate... and if it is, you'll probably just need to clean it more than once. If someone starts selling Ipone in the US, I might start using that, but given my experience with this stuff, I might just stick with it. And I can confirm that it does smell, at least somewhat, like watermelon. Really, it smells more like artificial watermelon scent and carburetor cleaner had a love child, but what do you honestly expect at that point?
This stuff does what it is called. Gets the MUCK OFF of your chain. I used it very sparingly, rinsed with water, dry with cloth, and it was clean as new.I recently watched a youtube video (thanks FORTNINE) about different chain cleaners and this is the best stuff. Most other chain cleaners tested would bypass the chains internal o-rings and get into the grease inside them, not what you want from a cleaner!
Works really well. It actually smells pretty good which is a big improvement from most chain cleaners and I like that that I'm putting less toxins into the eco system around my home. I also love the little sort straw where it sprays. It's very effective without flopping around. And its always on there. You don't have to put it on and off every time u use it.
I bought this thinking that it might give my chain I bit of a clean, how wrong was I. My chain looks brand new after using this. Would recommend to anyone wanting to clean their bike chain.
I have been using Muc Off products for awhile, but recently bought the chain cleaner fromHalfords. It’s brilliant, great at getting off any residue and grime from the chain, leaves my chain looking great and keeping it in good condition. Would definitely recommend to other bikers to grab this product from Halfords. Great product and great price too!
DOes what its suppose to. I continuously sprayed the chain as i rotated the wheel making sure I caught the entire chain. I also sprayed every side of the chain. I let it sit for about 15min. The dirt just falls off. I would recommend putting a piece of cardboard to divide your chain and wheel to avoid getting the rear wheel dirty with gunk grease.
