These lights seemed like the best bang for your buck for a good portable light kit. I bought the 30x 2 light kit as well, they are lightweight, these 2 foot ones should travel easy if you have to with them. They put out great light and are powerful! The app is decent and works better than other light apps Ive had, there are also tons of options and features built in for different lighting scenarios.

We produce a run-and-gun YouTube car show, and these lights are fantastic, tough and the batteries last forever. Very bright. Body is very heavy and solid. Love them. Also have a 4' which is great.

Just received mine today and its inside components are loose and rattle inside of the fixture. My previous pavotube screen died in 4 months. Gave 2 stars because the light works but I don't trust their quality control. Checked with the nanlite user group and this the light should feel loose at all. Hopefully, this get's resolved, I will update with my experience when I get to use the light.

In a fast pace b-roll shooting circumstances this kit is indispensable. The quality of light is great and RGB options are useful for adding a bit of color to any scene. These lights also look great as practical or decorative lights and add points of interest needed in some shots.

I bought the 30x 2 light kit as well, they are lightweight, these 2 foot ones should travel easy if I have to with them.They put out great light and are powerful, the threading on the sides and having the octagonal caps at the ends are nice for laying it down on the ground without it rolling away, or using a magnet to mount it to a wall or ceiling, etc.I do wish they had the ability to be charged by the USB-C port though, I don't believe it works that way though.The app is decent and works better than other light apps Ive had, there are also tons of options and features built in for different lighting scenarios.These are great! Loved this light, but just today I turned it on and it's stuck in rainbow colors. It is not on the "rainbow effect" however.I've gone through the whole menu and it appears it's just stuck in a form of rainbow no matter what mode you put it in. Seems like it blew a circuit. I really loved it, but very upset it lasted 10 months
We do a lot of studio (and run & gun) industrial & commercial video content. Have had this 2' light for a few weeks now and have put it to work more than several times with great success. Whether you need to put a nice rim on something, or give a pop of color, or stick it inside a machine, or under a piece of equipment, or move it over the top of an object for dynamic lighting, it's great - so many uses. The build quality seems excellent - it's robust with nice heft, but still very manageable. Now thinking about getting a second 2' unit, and 2 (or more) of the 4' units. The case is pretty nice. The plastic clamp that comes with it seems good enough, but we'll see. The AC adapter cord situation is a little messy & ugly looking, but it is what it is. Absolutely what I was looking for! A strong, wireless, portable, versatile light for multiple situations.Portraits? Check!Creative photography? Check!Videos? Check!YouTube content? Check!I love that I can connect it to my phoner and easily control the settings.I can also use it while plugged in for longer periods. The battery itself can give me 30-60 minutes of time by itself.Now the only problem I have is to order several more of them!
The lights appear to be terrific. However, it is very frustrating trying to connect with the Nanlink for remote bluetooth operation. Both my lights shipped with buggy firmware. They do not have the BT: RESET option in the menu which is what's required to connect with the app. So, Nanlite support tells you to update the firmware. The update isn't that recent, therefore the lights should have shipped preloaded. But not a big deal.... unless the manufacturer knows that users will have to purchase a specific USB C thumb drive to load the firmware, namely the Verbatim Store n Go. My first thought is why wouldn't Nanlite just charge a little extra and include that thumb drive with the kit? It is literally the only one their support people claim will work.
