So this is a pretty good product all in all. It's very well built and fairly intuitive to operate if your a first time user as I was. The real issue is upon me purchasing it it required an update. I don't understand why they used a usb-c port when EVERYONE uses usb-a, but that's not even the biggest issue. These are evidently very picky on what devices you use to update the firmware and more so how you do it. It's very confusing and a pain to be honest. All in all I would recommend these lights so far anyway but do yourself a favor and do your research before buying so you know what your getting into.

I love the light itself, but you MUST update the firmware if you want to use the app. The app itself is buggy and the server is down a lot. You will have to buy a very specific USB-C flash drive to update the firmware.It's a shame that the update process is so frustrating. Otherwise this would be a five star product.
I just recently purchase this light & loved the various lighting effects at a wedding reception. This light is ideal for step & repeat light. Very even soft light. I purchase the Nanlite holder which works with most light stands or C-stand. I love it.
