NARS Powermatte Light My Fire Lip Pigment 5.5ml

I love this product line. It is long lasting, doesn’t flake, highly pigmented… I have a tendency to have dry lips so I like to have a little color to reduce the “redness” from a tender spot, but then the issue is that I hate reapplying lip products, so I need a long lasting product. Most of them are matte and drying. They flake and look horrible. This product? I love. Slightly dry after it is applied, but minor. Stays on so well. Even when it does wear, it leaves enough “stain” that it makes it look ok regardless. It is one of those you have to be verrrry careful applying as it isn’t very forgiving. I have American woman and Le Freak.

Great colour but wont dry - unusable

Bought this (don't drop red colour) as I loved the colour and believed it to be a good product. Really disappointed with it though, it won't dry/set. I tried blotting it after 30mins and it still transfers to anything that touches my lips, bleeds and ends up making my whole mouth/chin area pink stained.I think there's something wrong with the formula. I followed all the advice, on dry lips, with and without lip liner, waiting 30mins before eating/drinking, blotting it/not blotting it. I don't apply anything over it and it never dries.One morning I purposefully waited an hour and it still wasn't dry. I didn't layer it up, just one brush of the wand on my lips. I was a big KVD fan...

I was a ride or die for the KVD Beauty Everlasting Long-Wear Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Nahz Fur Atoo, which was a deep true red. It has since been discontinued and I have been on the search for a perfect replacement, this is it! The red is a beautiful dark deep red, such a great compliment to my medium skin ton completion. It goes on smooth and it dries down matte, non transferable, and not as drying as other formulas. I spent an entire day at Disneyland with this shade on and it held up thru a ton of snacks and rides lol All my photos looked amazing and I was pleased at how smooth it looked despite my lips being super dry. Long Lasting, Strong Pigments, Great Texture

These Powermatte Lip Pigments in are just outstanding. I have a few different shades (Bad Guy, Le Freak, American Woman, Light My Fire, Warm Leatherette, Rock With You, Under My and Thumb which are not all offered at Sephora just FYI) and the color choices are all so beautiful.The product STAYS, lips peeling from wearing this product is pretty minimal compared to other matte lipsticks, and its relatively easy to remove without your lips being too stained. **HOWEVER, my only advice to newbies to this would be: I strongly suggest swatching if you're more particular about how lipsticks look on you. This product looks a bit darker once it oxidizes on the lips (at least for me). My favorite liquid lipstick and colors.

Finally got my hands on Slow Ride! I already own Somebody to Love and Starwoman. I love this formula. Super pigmented and long lasting. It also wears off comfortably and nicely, and reapplies/layers well. I wear this as full coverage or dot some on and then blend with my fingers for a softer look. I’ve also tried it as blush for a monochromatic look and it’s awesome that way too. I’m really hoping they expand the color range to include more brown girl friendly nude and mauve shades.Skin tone for reference: medium with warm golden undertones. Best shade match is Estée Lauder 3W1 tawny.TLDR 10 out of 10 recommend!

Phenomenal liquid lipstick

Amazing product stays on!!!! The only product I consider wearing if I have a concert or a wedding or a bold lipstick wearing event. Even travelling on an airplane cause it just feels good and stays for so long! Eating drinking sweating kissing this lipstick does. Not. Budge. Stays defined without liner. I usually condition prep my lips (lip butter by Nudestix is beautiful!)while I'm doing my skincare and base layers adding the lipstick dead last. I've worn it without and lips can be dry with no prepwork. Let it dry for a few seconds, touch up for cupids bow definition and you're good to go for the rest of the day and night! I bring it with me to add a fresh layer hours later but I love it, don't have to worry about lipstick on your teeth while you're talking or ... MoreAmazing product stays on!!!! Slow Ride and Someone to love

Why do I even bother trying other brands. LOVE the formula and the soft look it gives, without being too in your face. Slow ride is my perfect brown (with a touch of pink) nude on my tan skin with pigmented lips. I own so many ‘brown - pink’ and ‘pink - brown’ but nothing is as special and classy as Slow ride. Someone to love is another classic , slightly deeper than slow ride but still so so wearable and pretty and different. Nars lipsticks offer the most unique and flattering colors. I wear both without any lipliner and they work great. Sometimes I add a lipliner if I want a sharper look. I use their applicator to line and my finger to spread out the color for a more diffused look. Either way can’t go wrong! Very impressed!!! Definitely worth the money

I've never been big on liquid lipsticks (was turned off by one of the ABH ones that felt like cement on my lips), but I wanted something more long wearing than regular bullet lipsticks. Got this in Bad Guy, which is just a bit darker than my natural lip colour and it is very similar in colour to the MUFE aqualip lip liner in 3c.This lipstick is super long wearing and lasts pretty much all day, just wears off a bit around the mouth opening when eating/drinking but fades nicely. There is a little bit of transfer onto my mask, but my lips still look the same after. It kind of emphasizes fine lines on the mouth but it's only noticeable super up close (like face right in front of the mirror) and not nearly as bad as the ABH one I tried. It's very comfortable on your lips - not super hydrating/nourishing (I don't think it's supposed to be), but it's definitely not dehydrating and that says a lot, as I have really dry lips and need to reapply lip balm often. When around the opening of my mouth felt kind of dry, I just dabbed some lip balm on and it wore fine with that, also wears well with lip gloss (pairs well with Fenty Gloss bomb in Fenty Glow).Overall, I think it's well worth the money since you need barely any product for a full, opaque lip, and you don't really need to reapply throughout the day. Will likely last a long time!!
