I'm a single yopro who loves coffee, but often doesnt have the time to have a good brew before I fly out of the door in the mornings. I've tried several Nespresso machines, and the Essenza Plus fits my needs perfectly! I get a consistently beautiful shot of fresh gourmet espresso in under 60 seconds, with beautiful crema on the top. Add a pinch of sugar, a splash of milk, and I'm energized and ready to dash :) Kazaar is my favourite, and I've found (by accident) that if I put in a splash of non-lactose milk, I dont even need the sugar. I used to avoid Nespresso because I couldn't condone the single use capsules, but did some research and realised that they not only ensure that their capsules are infinitely recyclable (100% aluminum), but they've also developed a ... MoreI'm a single yopro who loves coffee, but often doesnt have the time to have a good brew before I fly out of the door in the mornings. I've been impressed with the amount of thought and effort that Nespresso has made to ensure quality, fresh, and sustainable roasts, and have since been a fan. Thanks Nespresso!

This little machine is stylish, sleek and completes my coffee counter! It makes the most delicious, quick espresso in no time at all. So easy to clean and descale, and also refill. My other machines take about 20 minutes to pre-heat before I can even use them, so when I’m in a rush, I pop in a quick Nespresso pod and I’m on my way. Love that this creates a creamy foam on top of the espresso every single time. The flavor comes out rich and bold in every cup. One of my favorite machines to use when I need a pick-me-up!

I'm a big fan of Nespresso, especially the original line. The CitiZ offers the same quick, easy, tasty Nespresso experience as my old De'Longhi machine, and it looks good on the counter. I really like the looks of the CitiZ, and I like that I'm not limited to Nespresso only pods. Add a Milk frother and Cappuccinos are able to be made in minutes.

This is actually our 5th Nespresso machine and we couldn’t be more pleased! We have a Pixie for traveling in the US, another at our daughter’s in Luxembourg, and this is our 3rd Citiz. We are pretty traditional coffee drinkers and this is the perfect machine for us. They all deliver an excellent coffee experience! Nespresso is the only coffee we drink 99% of the time and we couldn’t be happier!
I have been a Nespresso member since 2002. I have purchased almost every original machine including the one made by Alesia. I recently purchased my 2d Citiz machine and it does not disappoint! I have also given 5 Citiz as gifts because I know it’s qualities; fast and quite, beautiful and solid. Simply, THE BEST. My question to you: Is Nespresso going to produce a travel case for the Citiz? I can’t leave home without it. Thank you.
I've had my machine for almost 6 years. I am the only coffee drinker in my home so this is perfect for me. It's very difficult to find a good coffee cup at regular shops because I compare them all to the ones I make at home. This machine has saved me a lot of money! I descale every year or so. I haven't had any issues. My model was purchased in 2017.
After two decades with my original Essenza, it was starting to malfunction so I ordered the CitiZ. It's a handsome machine with a modest footprint, good for a smaller urban kitchen with limited counterspace. It has several thoughtful details like the two different heights so it's the only smaller Nespresso machine that accommodates bigger mugs. I like that it automatically turns off (a newer feature from my 20-year-old Essenza) and the water tank can be filled without detaching it (ditto). If you like Nespresso, this is a terrific machine.
The CitiZ draws a fine cup of espresso, but the user interface is less robust than the Essenza. I have had an Essenza for years. It still works great except the button to draw a shot is going out and barely works. If I could repair the button, I would. Unfortunately Nespresso doesn't do repairs. So I bought a CitiZ. The lid of the water tank is not attached to the tank or the machine making it harder to set in place correctly. To remove the used pod holder, grab the upper cup shelf. Don't try to grab the actual pod container - it is not attached to the bottom. The lever to insert a pod is sticky and hard to set into place. If you don't get it closed fully, the pod doesn't puncture and you just get hot water in your cup. All in all, this machine feels less well-made ... MoreThe CitiZ draws a fine cup of espresso, but the user interface is less robust than the Essenza. I have had an Essenza for years. We purchased this machine as we are working from home and starting to get into coffee more, and wanted to try learning about and experiencing espresso. This machine took a week to ship out and a week to deliver, which is not normal for Bloomingdales turnaround times. We had high anticipation and as soon as we got our machine we made espressos right away... what a great buy! The machine is modern, sleek, doesn’t take up much counter space. The water heats up pretty well, it makes espresso and lungo (pulled espresso for more liquid) size cups, easy to clean, and comes with 14 sample pods to get you started on your espresso journey if you are new like us and have no idea what flavor profile preferences you have. And of course the actual espresso was delicious. I really want to love this machine but it is impossible to recommend. I have owned at least 6 or 7 Nespresso machines over the years (including a Citiz) and have loved every single one. There is a core issue with this particular machine that they seem unable or unwilling to acknowledge or to resolve. I just got my third replacement and it has the exact same flaw. It makes a persistent buzzing/humming/electrical sound even when inactive. The only way to stop the sound is to unplug the machine. When it is in "active" mode (e.g. heating) it is about 20X louder but even at rest, you can hear it. I am honestly tired of sending the machines back and having them replaced with the same exact issue, but do not recommend this unit. Try a Pixie?
