I purchased this Xlear brand of sinus rinse when I discovered that it had xylitol in it. This was an ingredient that I had seen only in gum a few years back. Our pediatrician suggested that my daughter chew gum with xylitol in it to help with her chronic ear infections. It helps to keep bacteria from sticking. I have not tried the rinse yet but was happy to purchase it and give it a try. If I find that it is anything other than excellent-- as I head into cold and sinus infection season (for me- early spring) I will change my review on here.

As soon as that happened, I then began what was to become a chronic sinus issue for me that continues today. Any cold or stress results in a sinus infection that lingers and lingers, that does not normally respond to antibiotics. I found the only way to remain infection free from day to day was to do a sinus rinse twice a day, in the morning and again in the evening. It’s high maintenance, to be sure, but generally works well. Once a cold or upper respiratory issues develops, I have to add a third rinse per day until things calm down, but that can take time, with warm compresses, as well. When I had a recent cold, and my sinuses became infected, I tried the Xclear Sinus Care Solution packets, I found it to be very effective in eradicating the infection quickly and effectively. It does cause some stomach irritation for me, so I adjust my dose to ease that a bit. My doctor has me using 4 cups of boiled or distilled water at each rinse with a teaspoon of salt and baking soda to the water. To this mixture, I add 2 packets of the Xclear Sinus Care Solution packets. Although the product does not give me diarrhea, it does a real “roto rooter” to my colon., causing the colon to spasm a bit for me. This causes some discomfort, but does take care of my sinus infection.

Healed my 6yo son's chronic two-month-long sinus infection!!My son had a bacterial sinus infection with a high fever. I treated at home with some remedies (not xlear) for several weeks and it did not go away so we put him on antibiotics. The antibiotics (10 DAYS!) still did not clear the sinus infection. We tried some home remedies again to no avail. Finally, when researching I came across XLEAR and we did it morning and night for 3 weeks and his sinus infection was finally healed!!! I am thankful for XLEAR and now we have a backup pack in our cabinet at all times!

These little packets just keep going and going. Surely, its been close to five years and I've still got some left. The ingredients are dissolved in water and I use this as a nasal spray in my own glass bottles. I also add a few drops of 100% tea tree essential oil to the mix. This way, it cleans out and disinfects nasal passages. I've been having great success using this for blocked noses during bed time. Don't forget to add a little tea tree oil. It will feel very cool in your nostrils at first, but the sensation goes away quickly. Its what you're left with after this that counts.
This product is truly awesome. I have been suffering from post nasal drip with constant coughing for more than 4 months. I have tried many stuffsuch as: the normal salt sinus rinse wth Hydrogen Peroxide, ACV and the Neil med premix. It didn't work for me. So when I came across Xlear sinusrinse, I just try without expecting much. But wow, it did work and now my post nasal drip is almost non exsistent. I am repeating my orders and thanks I Herb for carrying such wonderful products and giving me back a chance to breathe in fresh air again.
