Started using this product on my mum's staffy 'Frog' 6 months ago, alongside my own labradoodle Macie. My mum used to give him Purina Totalcare Flea & Tick for years but he was always riddled in fleas. So much so that he had developed a bald patch on his rump and scratched and bit at it constantly. Since day 1, I have never seen a flea on either dog. They love the taste and always happily eats it all. Just be aware, while this treatment covers most parasites, it does not treat tapeworm, only prevents it. So you may want to consider getting a monthly tapeworm only treatment from your vet to use alongside using this product :)

Unfortunately, our dog suffered from adverse reactions due to Nexgard. He has a been a happy and energetic dog with no changes to his diet. But in less than 48 hours of receiving a dose of Nexgard spectra, he started having diarrhoea and vomiting. The diarrhoea became watery and he could not take in any fluid at all. He refused food and was lethargic. The vet said it could due to stress but she did not rule out that Nexgard may have caused the symptoms. Our dog developed pancreatitis as a result of this. Other reviews on other sites have described similar symptoms and their dogs developing pancreatitis or even dying. We've been using Nexgard for flea and tick protection for a while and our dog eats the chew without any problem and never seen any fleas (ticks unlikely in Melbourne). Also using Milbemax for worming. Have just upgraded to Nexgard Spectra which covers everything covered by Nexgard standard + Milbemax - except hydatid tapeworm. On the plus side, however, it also covers Heartworm which Milbemax doesn't. We now cover that with a 3-month dose of another product and the monthly dose of Nexgard Spectra covers everything else and is better for our dog than a huge dose of Heartworm treatment injected once a year. Cheaper overall and our vet also approves.

Nexgard is a great product, but a small parcel ... PetCircle delivery is never, in our experience, to the standard of their products and site. we're disappointed each time. This time, we live on a busy street so, instead of popping the NexGard in the secure letterbox or popping it through (under or over) the high, locked gate ... they balanced it on top just inviting anybody to walk off with it. Seems every time we buy from PetCircle we're lucky to get the parcel before somebody else does!
Our 2-year-old Jack Russell devours his medication in a flash, wagging his tail like it's a delicious treat. We found a tick on him this summer, luckily caught just as it had burrowed beneath the skin of his neck, he had no visible signs of discomfort, rather the tick looked like it wasn't having the best time and was easily removed. We also found a tick floating in his sister's water bowl, she too is on Nexgard spectra, we think the tick jumped off her seeking refuge in the bowl as she was drinking. It's expensive but IT WORKS! Also, the auto-renewal is fab.
I just add it to my puppies meal on the 1st of the month and they have no problems.or side effects..I live in a very high risk area for ticks on the Northern Beaches & have used it for 5 years.Also my dogs have very long fur so knowing that Nexgard works I feel that the expense of keeping them safe is worth it.
The first time I purchase Nexgard Spectra two years ago both my dogs were fineThe new batch (no AAA2309/22) purchased in start of 2023 caused both of them to be pretty unwell, repeatedly vomit and have liquid pink poop lasting 2 daysBoth dogs weigh 7 KG and were given half a chewable for dogs 7.6 - 15 KG eachSo sad, was happy finding one treatment that seemed to cover all common parasites.They did only chew them a little though. Maybe if I crumble them through their food it would go better.But I am too afraid to try that now.

Both the breeder and our vet recommends. Covers pretty much everything except for tapeworm. My dog will not take willingly or disguised in cheese etc.
My dog usually has these effortlessly however found he struggled this time, around so broke it up into fours and still got him to have it. I still like the product for him as it covers so much, in order to protect our dogs.
