This thing is a big beast but it's a great utility to have in the kitchen at all times so it is worth the space. The two basket cooking allows you to cook a whole family meal extremely fast. They were easy to figure out and use without much effort to figure out. The material is mostly metal and it looks pretty darn good on my kitchen counter. It also comes with a probe for proteins which helps make for the perfect meats. I have tried fries, vegetables, fried fish, chicken wings, steaks, fish fillets with and without bread crumbs and various meats. They all came out perfect. This thing makes delicious and perfectly cooked food. Lastly, the clean up is fantastically easy for the baskets. It's no fuss to clean up. Very happy with this as part of our kitchen.

Also, you have to press the control knob between almost every action. Other than those things, is a nice air fryer. Get parchment air fryer liners to save on cleanup and ruining the nonstick.

I love that we can cook so much at once, and that we can cook multiple things at once. I really like the dual feature that allows me to toss everything into the unit at once and if one item needs 20 minutes and the other needs 15 minutes, it simply turns on the first one and delays the second by the 5 minutes. This way, everything always finishes at the same time. This is so handy for me, a busy mom who easily gets distracted; I can just toss it all in, put the settings in and walk away until it chimes at me [and it auto shuts-off and cools down if I'm busy]. I had some okra that had been in the fridge for 3 days and the breading was very soft. I heated them @ 350 for 3 minutes and checked them. They had crisped a bit, but not enough. Another 3 minutes and they were perfect. Even after reaching room temperature, they were crispy. The unit stayed cool during the cooking process. The only place I experienced any heat was the front of the fry basket. And, it did not get hot enough to cause discomfort. Now, for a bit of advice. Before you ever use the fryer, clean the baskets. Some reviews I had read noted an odor from the unit when first used. So, I ran the fryer set to 390, empty for about 10 minutes to remove any manufacturing residue. I did notice a rather strong smell. After that first run, the odor never returned. A design note: The unit is a little heavy. However it has a nice design feature making lifting easy. One each side at the bottom, there are cut-outs for your fingers to fit into for easy lifting. I am very pleased with the Ninja and look forward to many years of use.
I was skeptical of the idea of an air fryer but my wife wanted one so I got her this for Christmas. It quickly became my favorite easy to prepare food. To be clear: the name "fryer" is a misnomer. It's closer to a convection oven but it's so much better. It's almost like a cross between a convection oven and a barbeque. You can reasonably approximate that comes over the high heat if a barbeque without having to heat the whole grill if you're just cooking for a couple of people. I've cooked everything from French fries to steak to peach cobbler all with great success. It does take since getting used to but once you do it's fantastic. I love the variety of cooking settings. It quickly became my favorite easy to prepare food. To be clear: the name "fryer" is a misnomer. It's closer to a convection oven but it's so much better. It's almost like a cross between a convection oven and a barbeque. You can reasonably approximate that comes over the high heat if a barbeque without having to heat the whole grill if you're just cooking for a couple of people. I've cooked everything from French fries to steak to peach cobbler all with great success. It does take since getting used to but once you do it's fantastic. I love the variety of cooking settings. I use the broil for meats, the dehydrator for drying herbs, the reheat instead of the microwave for leftovers, and the air fry for most everything else. Having two separate baskets is also great when I want to cook two different things (or just a lot if one thing).
I am in love with my Ninja Air Fryer. I have always used so many different appliances to just cook one meal. Not anymore, this air fryer does so many things! I love that you can adjust temps, and types of cooking methods easily. My favorite setting is the air broil it adds texture and flavor you never knew you were missing out on. The cooking temperatures go up to 400 degrees and down to 300 degrees. Perfect for heating up leftovers, Raw foods, fish, frozen foods. The thermometer has been so handy because I love cooking roasts and it makes cooking it so much easier. I would say if you are not much of a cooker, this will turn you into one. I am so shocked at how fast things cook/bake, it actually has made me love making meals again.
