This is our second air fryer now; the previous one had one big 5.5L basket, but it was hard to clean and the handle had issues where it often felt loose. The Ninja Food XL Dual Zone is the answer to those issues, with two large 4.5L baskets (which actually fit in the sink to clean) in which to air fry, bake, roast, broil, reheat, and (who knew I wanted this until I was able to use it), dehydrate! We have done quarter chickens in it to perfection, fresh fries on the regular, frozen homemade perogies, and most any other thing you might otherwise turn your oven on for. As I said in the title, this is a game changer, and takes up about the same space on the counter as our previous air fryer. The other useful features are smart finish (where you put items in both ... MoreThis is our second air fryer now; the previous one had one big 5.5L basket, but it was hard to clean and the handle had issues where it often felt loose. Ninjas latest addition of the Foodi 6-in-1 10 quart 2 basket Air Fryer is great news for those with large families and/or those who have become fans of using the Smart Finish feature, which allows 2 different foods to be cooked separately, yet simultaneously while finishing at the same time. I already own the Ninja Foodi 6-in-1 8qt and it revamped the way that I cook so I was excited to see what the 10qt had to offer.Extremely similar in appearance to the 8qt the 10qt also has a dark gray/metallic finished ceramic coating with silver trim. Some of the buttons on the control panel have been replaced with a dial and of course the 10qt is larger in size than the 8qt but it still fits great on my counter. The fact that it only opens from the front, and not on the top, means that it is able to be both stored and used beneath your cabinets. This eliminates the need to drag it out onto your countertop for use. Keep in mind that the unit does require several inches of clearance on all sides since it does get warm and generates heat when in use. Cleanup is fast and easy. The inside of the baskets and the crisper plates are covered with a nonstick coating that is easily wiped off with a paper towel or rinsed clean with warm, soapy water. My 8qt has withstood 6+ months of almost daily cleanup with a paper towel or hot soapy water and the finish inside the baskets and on the crisper plates looks and performs like new. Despite being rated dishwasher safe I have personally never placed my crisping plates in the dishwasher or used any abrasive cleaner/cleaning tool on them or in the baskets.I love the increased dimensions of the dual 5qt cooking baskets. We often prepare steaks and other larger cuts of meat in our 8qt and the increased size has allowed me to prepare a small roast (meat in one basket and veggies in the other), roast two 5 lb. chickens at the same time (they turned out great!), and allowed me to roast asparagus and air-fry zucchini and squash boats without having to cut them in half. With 6 programmable cooking functions (air broil, air fry, bake, roast, reheat, and dehydrate) and up to 450 degrees of heat it can almost totally replace the need for your oven. It’s also great to have all the components of your meal arrive on the table hot, fresh, and at the same time. I always hated having food get cold while I cooked a second batch in my single basket air-fryer. I have found that reheating leftovers like chicken, pizza, and fries in the Foodi returns them to their previous crisp state vs. using the microwave and it takes almost the same amount of time. While I didn’t find that the Ninja Foodi 10qt offered any technological improvements over the 8qt I don’t feel that it needed to. Dual Zone Technology and Smart Finish make this air-fryer one of the best, if not The Best, air-fryer on the market. The fact that it is now available in a larger size only increases its appeal. If you are looking for an upgrade for your current air-fryer or are new to the air fryer market-don’t hesitate-this air fryer is A-1.

Our friends have had this for almost 2 years (the smaller version) and it still goes strong. I feel like this will last years for how well made it is.I also love the fact that they did not use Teflon or other dangerous non-stick chemicals in this. It's non-stick ceramic I believe and does not emit any bad chemical smells like other stuff that we have gotten rid of (we are a Teflon-free house). We put this right beside our stove so that our overhead fan can extract and exhaust the cooking smells - this emits no smoke, but we do not like the slightest hint of a fried smell in our house. It does a pretty good job at minimizing odours, but I guess we're a bit OCD LOLBottom line: this product is extremely well made, is super easy to use and does an incredible job at making cooking easy!I would recommend going with the 10qt (9.5L) version over the 6 or 8 qt version for one simple reason: the interface and how to set the controls is a million times easier. I played with the 8 qt version and really hated the controls (it's so confusing). This 10qt model has a super easy interface that even the most technically challenged can figure out (its so much easier to use).My advice is to avoid the smaller models just because of how much easier this version is to use. Besides, you never know when you will need the extra capacity!I really do recommend the Ninja Foodie XL Air Fryer 10 Quart appliance. It’s a solid 10/10!

I received another cheaper basket air fryer, and loved it so much I wore it out. When I went to purchase a new one, decided to buy one that had trays instead, so it could be more versatile, and I could cook more at once. But things didn't cook evenly, and it was more work. So when it got recalled, I was ecstatic that I could finally get what I wanted! But what was that, one with trays so I could get away from using my oven as often, or another basket one because things seem to cook more evenly without as much intervention? But I also wanted to cook different things at the same time, and sometimes just more or larger items. So this was perfect, you may not be able to cook a large rotisserie chicken, and you may not get the rotating arm for cooking one. But you can still cook a rotisserie chicken, though I haven't tried yet. And you can still cook what you would in an oven with it's multiple cooking options, and you have a lot of space to lay things out flat. And you can either cook more of one thing or two different things with different times & temps, and everything gets done at the same time without any thought on your part! The other thing I've learned is, they get smarter the more you spend, so spend a bit more, you won't regret it!
Our family uses an air fryer 2-3 times a week. The Ninja Foodi XL 2 Basket Air Fryer has taken air frying to another level, making it so much easier to cook meals that have different fried elements to them, with different cooking times, and having them end the cooking cycle at the same time. Brilliant! An easy example for us, was cooking fries for my 10 year old son's dinner, while my wife and I wanted garlic bread to go with our spaghetti and meatballs. We love cooking garlic bread in our air fryer (we've used our 'old' Ninja Foodi XL 5.5 quart air fryer for a couple of years now), and we've found that the garlic bread comes out nice and crispy on the outside with a soft, juicy, garlicky center, far better than broiling. And fries, they are fantastic, about 14 ... MoreOur family uses an air fryer 2-3 times a week. Really crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. We don't add any oil to them at all, and they taste fantastic. Now, the beauty of this air fryer lays with the dual zone technology, with dual baskets, which means you can cook two different types of food, two different ways, for two different times, and still have them finish at the same time! In our example, we had the garlic bread cook for 9 mins at 375, and the fries for 14 mins at 350, and they both came out perfectly. With 6 programmable functions including Air Broil, Air Fry, Roast, Reheat (which is the absolute best for revitalizing pizza - seriously, try it!), Dehydrate and Bake, you have plenty of options with this machine. Coupled with dual 5 quart baskets, you have great capacity to make a complete meal, or a huge capacity using the 'Match Cook' button for a combined 10 quart capacity (think fries or chicken wings!). The baskets are dishwasher safe, along with the non-stick crisper plates that allow the hot air to circulate under the food. This is a really easy to use system, with intuitive controls. I only had two challenges with the unit.1. Coming from the Ninja Foodi XL 5.5 quart unit, if you pulled the basket out, the machine would pause, stop the timer, and cut the heat to the machine. This new Ninja Foodi XL 2 Basket Fryer DOES NOT pause when you pull the basket out. When you do, the counter continues to count down, and the machine does not turn off on that side. However, you CAN pause it. You have to press the pause button (press in on the silver dial) in order to pause the cooking, if you want to check on the progress. I loved the fact that my previous air fryer would automatically pause, a great safety feature, but this one is lacking in that area.2. My previous air fryer had a round basket, and as such, it had 3 rubber feet on the crisper plate. That makes it so easy to remove from the baskets. With the new Ninja Foodi XL 2 Basket Fryer, the crisper plates are rectangular, and have 4 rubber feet on them. They are a lot more difficult to remove from the basket, and the small handle in the middle feels even smaller than before compounding the issue.Aside from these two small things, as I say, you CAN pause the machine manually yourself, so it's definitely not a deal breaker, just used to it automatically pausing, and the crisper plates being a little more difficult to remove, I am really happy with my Ninja Foodi XL 2 Basket Air Fryer. It's a great addition to the kitchen, it looks great, and performs really, really well.
Having two decent-sized baskets that allow for cooking differently simultaneously has been a real time-saver for us. Half the family is vegetarian so it is great to be able to use one side for foods that contain meats and the other side does not. We used to have to plan to cook vegetarian items first or else we would need to wash the basket out in between. We can also cook meal items on one side and a side on the other with enough capacity for everyone. The only part we are not thrilled with is the way the crisper plate fits - it is very tight to get in and out and it is possible for the silicone feet to uncover the metal underneath and scratch the basket. This has not happened but it has NEARLY happened so we are just careful about the crisper plate when cleaning. ... MoreHaving two decent-sized baskets that allow for cooking differently simultaneously has been a real time-saver for us. As with air fryers I have used in the past, the food cooks in less time with less oil/fats, and tastes delicious. The price is a bit high, but you are basically getting two higher-end air fryers in one. The unit is a bit large but if you have the space, I would definitely recommend it.
We have gotten quite fond of using a Ninja 6-qt. air fryer over the last two years, using it quite often for cooking certain quick individual meals that I would have normally used a microwave for (such as chicken nuggets & patties and even hot dogs) because it just seems to come out better in the air fryer. The only thing we wanted more from it was to be able to cook more at once. That is where moving up to the Ninja Foodi 6-in-1 10-qt. XL 2-Basket Air Fryer with DualZone Technology helps out.The 6 different cooking methods that are included are Air Fry, Broil, Roast, Bake, Reheat, and Dehydrate, which are selected using a dial in the middle. There are separate temperature and time controls for each side, then buttons to select either the Smart Finish or Match Cook modes (more on those later).Like most Ninja Air Fryers, it includes the crisper plates for each basket. I would have liked for it to have included a wire rack to allow for multiple levels of cooking, like we have with our single-basket. A plus for the crisper plates in addition to how it helps cook, is that with it being raised, it can also help keep the food out of any grease that is released during cooking (possibly helping make it somewhat healthier). A couple of times, we have cooked frozen meatballs, and it nice to just be able to pour out the grease later when cleaning rather than eating any of it.Cleaning is as easy as we have come to expect with Ninja. We feel that Ninja uses one of the best non-stick coatings around. The crisper plates and the baskets are dishwasher safe, but they recommend hand-washing the baskets.Having two baskets for cooking doesn't only allow you to cook a lot more of the same items, it will let you be able to cook two completely different things at the same time. Based on what you are cooking, this air fryer has two features that are nice and definitely needed for a dual-basket air fryer: Smart Finish and Match Cook. With the Match Cook, it is used simply to set the 2nd side to the exact same settings/time as the 1st and starts at the same time, so it will save a little bit of effort setting up. The Smart Finish allows you to cook different items with different times/temperatures/settings in each basket, and it will start one side accordingly in order to have them both finish at the same time. This will make cooking the main course in one basket and the side in the other basket with different times much easier. Using this feature, we cooked a couple of meals, from Chicken Tenders & Fries to Pork Tenderloin & Asparagus. Both turned out great and it was nice they finished at the exact same time. One thing that needs to be taken into consideration is that it will take longer to cook when using both sides. For example, 2 lbs. of frozen fries in each side would take 48-53 minutes using both zones, compared to 28-32 minutes using just a single zone. If you are used to cooking with a single basket air fryer, and want to cook two separate items, it will take longer for each than normal. Say, you want to cook different meals for each kid (or both for yourself), cooking chicken nuggets in one, and hot dogs in the other, you will need to add more time to the normal cooking times (in our case, almost 50% more). It seems that the reason it might take longer is that it will only have the heating coil on in one side at a time (due to max wattage limits), and just keeps switching (this opinion is just based my observation of its operation and may not be accurate). If you are looking for a good, large capacity air fryer, with many features, this will definitely be one to consider.
I hate to cook and I love this thing!! I purchased it to replace a cheaper air fryer that stopped working after 2 days and don't regret it.It is super easy to use and very versatile. It does what it advertises and you definitely can cook a lot of food at one time, with varied settings and temps. The first couple of times was intended to be trial and error just to get used to it and none of the food I cooked burnt or was undercooked. The directions are accurate and the unit is flexible enough to allow you to play with times and temps during a cook cycle.I've had mine a month and have cooked everything from fries to franks to a whole chicken and a pork roast and they all came out great. Cooking from frozen was better than I thought it would be.I cook my food for ... MoreI hate to cook and I love this thing!! Cooking from frozen was better than I thought it would be.I cook my food for the week and this makes it so much easier with less mess. and my kitchen does not get hot like it does using the oven. I'm now finding that I am using it at least 4 times a week.Even though it is a bit expensive, it's worth it if you are not a regular cook and/or want something pretty quick.Very easy to clean - although watch the crisper trays for scratching. I purchased additional crisper trays for back up (crazy expensive!!).
I purchased another brand single unit and was happy with the result, I purchased this unit because it was on sale and out family of 5 needed more cooking space. This unit runs quieter than that single unit I purchased. The Dual Zone cooking and Dual Zone finish are great features! Cleaning is a breeze, and cooking & reheating is awesome, no more microwave warmed up pizza slice(s), not having to heat up a full size oven for small items. Just pop in and head up that one piece of chicken.I also find that heating up BBQ meats, ribs or chicken thighs is great as well!!Simple things like crispy potatoes, stuffed mushrooms and even Pork Char Siu is dead easy. I made a pork Char Sui for a party, everyone thought I had cooked it on a BBQ!Great Machine, Highly recommend!

Many of our meals include air fried vegetables and it was always inconvenient with our old air fryer to have to go one at a time on each batch of vegetables. Many of our meals include air fried vegetables and it was always inconvenient with our old air fryer to have to go one at a time on each batch of vegetables. Now we can start two separate foods in the different air fryers at different times and temperatures as needed, which is awesome! One reason why I love this air fryer so much is that unlike many of its counterparts, both the crisper plates and the baskets are approved by Ninja to be washable in a dish washer! They do have an asterisk on the baskets that this can shorter their lifespan, but when talking about convenience it is incredibly nice to be able to just stick these in the dishwasher when done cooking. The truth is that many air fryer baskets get burnt out prematurely by old grease and food particles getting burnt and baked onto the bottom of the baskets which overtime will greatly reduce their efficiency. So, it stands as important to make sure you wash your crisper plates and air fryer baskets.A couple of features I would like to see added to future iterations of this product are auto-pause on the respective heating element if a basket is pulled out, and an auto-start or delay timer on the individual baskets so you could have them set to automatically start at a given time. Also, this is not so much of a downside but just wanting people to be aware to double check the dimensions of this air fryer against their counter-space. We put our air fryer in the pantry as it does take a lot of space up lengthwise. Surprisingly, this is no wider than our previous 4-quart single basket air fryer. Otherwise, I have minimal to no complaints at all about this Foodi air fryer! Thanks for reading and hope this helps guide your purchase!
