I loved the original Mario Tennis for N64 so I was looking to recreate some of that magic. I didn't exactly get what I was looking for here, but this game still manages to be fun and arcadey. It's a bit simplified, but I only paid $4 for it so I'd say I got my money's worth.

I bought this game around noon and have only stopped playing to write this review. The gameplay is reminiscent of older Mario Tennis games in the respect that it is simply fun. The controls are simple enough for new gamers to pick up and are easy for veteran gamers to master. In terms of music and graphics the game provides its players with an experience that takes full advantage of the 3DS's potential. The soundtrack is fast passed and exciting and keeps players adrenaline level high during gameplay. Graphically the game is gorgeous. The game is visually pleasing to look at but not so much so that it distracts from the core gameplay. All and all I am very impressed with this game. The gameplay is fun and fast. However, there aren't that many game modes if you're playing single player so it lacks depth. It is a good pick up and play game, though. If you like Mario sports titles then you will enjoy this.

I always like the Mario themed sports games as they tend to combine a bit of realism of the sport, and some less realistic aspects brought on by the Mario characters.If you like tennis and Mario, you will like this game. If you dislike tennis, there are other good Mario themed sports games. If you dislike Mario, there are better tennis games out there.
Awesome game as a multiplayer single cartridge download play. There were some issues was about the equipment weren't as well planned out. Like the rackets and gear that supposedly gave you a boost in your stats. It seem all to same to m. Overall good game.
I love Mario tennis. This game is very nice to play casually. You can get bored if you play everyday, but the game offers online gaming and also you can unlock multiple items to create your own mii tennis players. Overall, I will recommend getting this game.
Great game, but not what I really the same compared to Mario Tennis 64. I like new content, but never have liked the "fake moves" and unrealistic-ness of it. Mario Tennis 64 was very realistic when it came to rules and physics. Otherwise, very fun game!

I really enjoy this game, like the Marino tennis on the GameCube. The controls are good, as you have multiple options, not so good for those who like a fixed method. :) Compared to the Marino tennis on GameCube, it has more complications, and to some degree I think a simple game of tennis would be better. But I love this game.
Classic Mario tennis, with some new control style gameplay using the touch screen to give gameplay a Great twist. I had to get use the touch screen, but once you get it, playing is more challenging. But for you that don't want to use the touch screen, there is auto mode, which makes the controls just as the original two button gameplay. Many characters to use even your Mii can get in the action. If you like Tennis, this is why better than the other tennis games available. Grab a racket and Serve up a smack down. What could be more fun then giving Bowser a courtside beat down. Hey its Mario Tennis!
