Nintendo Selects Pikmin 3 (Wii U WiiU)
Pikmin 3 is a fully reimagined, mass-action strategy title from the critically acclaimed Pikmin series. Players will discover a beautiful world filled with strange creatures and take command of a swarm of ant-like Pikmin trying to survive. The world is densely packed with treasures and enemies, which makes the game much more action focused and fills it with layers of potential strategies and paths, adding greater replayability to challenge modes. Players can play using Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk-based controls or the Wii U GamePad controller. With new intuitive controls that make it possible to aim at objects directly, players can command their tiny, yet powerful, squads in different ways. The GamePad acts as an overhead map and radar to track Pikmin movements in real time. Players can slide a finger across the touch screen to quickly switch between areas, giving greater flexibility in commanding multiple groups of Pikmin. The greater processing and HD capabilities of the Wii U console are put to extensive use, resulting in a more intricately designed world, enhanced ant-like movement of the Pikmin and precisely detailed overhead views for enabling easier strategic use of the Pikmin. After completing a stage, the replay feature allows players the option to review their results using the GamePad and TV. Fast-forward, rewind or pause while assessing the previous mission to decide on other paths. In addition to the five original types of Pikmin encountered in previous games, the new Rock Pikmin bring powerful new abilities and are able to crack hard outer shells of enemies and break through solid barriers. Mission Mode challenges players to earn the most treasure in a given time.

This is an amazing game gamplay-wise and visually. As a long time Pikmin fan though it was personally a little bit of a letdown because it didn't include everything I wanted. Don't let that detract from the fact that's it a wonderful game though. It is much better in terms of accessibility.

Pikmin 3 is a fantastic game, and was so when it initially released on the Wii U years ago. This Switch port add some nice enhancements and additions but is essentially the same game with sightly better graphics. If you missed it on the Wii U, it's a great pick up for the Switch; but if you already played it when it originally released like I did it doesn't add much to make replaying the game a vastly different experience. The new content is nice, in particular some of the epilogue missions and the new multiplayer modes; but on the whole it's not enough to really justify the $60 price tag if you played the game previously. For new players, it's a great pickup, even at $60. If you played it on the Wii U I would still recommend it, but maybe wait for it to go on ... MorePikmin 3 is a fantastic game, and was so when it initially released on the Wii U years ago. I wasn't sure that I'd enjoy a time management game even with the pikmin asthetic, but for $30 I decided now was the time to find out. I'm glad I did because Pikmin 3 has been a lot of fun. I haven't beaten it yet, I've only recently unlocked all the Pikmin types, but the game is a lot more forgiving than I had expected and even lets you redo a days of exploration if you lost a lot of pikmin or feel you could've done better that day. There are some challenges to overcome and several multi-tasking puzzels but they are a lot of fun to overcome. Would recomend.

I like this game, it’s a puzzle type “Lemmings” sort of game but way more complex. My favorite aspect of this game is in the visuals. So beautiful, transporting you into this world you’re navigating, and the music and sounds are so relaxing. I would forget about the game and then something would run at me and I remember to play. At any rate, fun and challenging, beautiful game. I think it you like puzzle type games this is for you.
This game is a lot of fun but rather short. For those unfamiliar with the Pikmin series, imagine a game like StarCraft or Warcraft but instead of commanding a bunch of units, you are working with 5 different units each with it's own abilities. The game is more puzzle based than other real time strategy games. That's what makes Pikmin 3 unique. The single player options are fun are rewarding. The game shines really well for local co-op. Bingo battle is probably my favorite mode. The main campaign also features multiplayer. It would have been nice to against a difficult opponent in bing battle. The game hasn't been updated since it released, so I doubt new content might be added.
It arrived earlier than expected which is great! So I don’t need to worry about it later. I came in brand new, plastic wrap (never been open). It's a great game for a child who is starting off playing games. I grew up playing this pikmin franchise, great memories I had with the pikmins. I definitely recommend this game to everyone for the nintendo switch. 5/5 stars!
my least favorite pikmin game personally but it is a must own if you're a pikmin fan like myself. Let's get into the pros really fun and comforting gameplay, great challenge, lots of charm and lots of replayablitiy. The cons are the daytime limit system and ship parts are very hard to find on your first playthrough due to not knowing where to find them. Other than that fantastic game 10/10.
For the people who haven’t played a pikmin game, this is a cutesy RTS where your army is made of these little thingies called “pikmin”. You pluck them off the earth and they blindly follow you and obey every command. You pick up stuff from the land and they take it into their little ships, which makes them multiply. Depending on the game there’s different objectives to follow. This is the ultimate pikmin game, with amazing HD graphics. The main change for this game is that theres 3 leaders in this game isteqd of just one. You switch them pushing one button so you can multitask with your pikmin to save time and resources. Also, to order and form your pikmin now you can use the Wii U gamepad.A must own for the Wii U, and one of the best exclusive games on the system.
My son played pikmin at aftercare and really liked it. We did not own a game system. And Finally, years after purchasing the switch because my son wanted this game, it is finally here. No bells and whistles. No new features (for which I am personally disappointed since there was plenty of time to add such features). No lower price since it was not necessarily a new game. But, my kid liked playing it on Ninetendo and he enjoys playing it on Nintendo switch.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe is fantastic! I haven't played Pikmin since it was on the Game Cube system many moons ago. I'll warn you, this game is addicting and the puzzles are challenging! I honestly couldn't put it down and found that any free time I had was devoted to harvesting more and more Pikmin. Nintendo did a fantastic job bring life back into this game and you won't be disappointed! I love that they sing a little song when they are all bunched up together wandering around the map.
