I purchased a nintendo switch in June from Target to put away for my kids for christmas. We've only had it out of the box for a bit over a week and a few days ago it started freezing, having error codes and yesterday wouldnt sync to any of the controllers we have.. took it to a professional for advice and was told it was definitely faulty and should receive a replacement or full refund.. so took it back to Target and they couldnt offer either and told me had to be sent away to nintendo for assessment and not only that i may be charged =$50 for assessment and i may be charged to get it fixed! My switch was an Xmas present for the kids, lasted 2 weeks when it decided not to load past the Nintendo Switch logo. Searched on the internet to fix and tried everything that was mentioned but to no avail. Very disappointing that this occurred as the kids loved it so much. Took it back to Target(Coffs Harbour) and after I explained what was happening they gave me a full refund on the Switch. The staff at Coffs need to be commended for the way they listened to my concerns and resolved the situation. We bought another one straight away from Target as their service was great and hoping this Switch will be fine as the majority are and this was just a one off.

Bought as a gift for my son so cant say too much yet. Did have a little go though to set it up, and it seems great. Feels solid and made well, screen is nice and I like all the different ways to play. I'm quite impressed with the parental controls settings and app you can get to manage the device, as this is very important for me. Great first experience with Nintendo.
Doing my christmas shopping early this year to make sure that my daughter doesn’t miss out. From past experience she has loved the nintendo switch hence why I got one for her. Anywho, I must say that I am such a fan of Harvey Norman. I ordered this mid-day last week and it showed up first thing the very next morning. I wasn’t expecting it so my daughter actually collected the package before heading off to school, lucky the box was quite plain so she had absolutely no idea. Pheeew!
This is my first switch. My first experience was with the switch lite and i liked it, but definitely think the Nintendo Switch is the way to go. Being able to hook it up the the TV is a game changer, i watch YouTube and being able to see the game better is 👌🏼👌🏼 v. Nice. I did have problems with the joycons disconnecting. Didn't know whether it was because i didn't click them into place properly or they were faulty. Havent had the pricked in a while. I hate the red blue colour of the joycons, but i have bought vinyl skins and rubber cases to cover the unwanted colour. I love that they are different colours though. The charger is great. It's an easy to use console. Very fun with friends, easy to bring around with you after you buy a case (from an external source). ... MoreThis is my first switch. I wish you could add nicknames to friends. Or add notes because i don't remember everyones usernames and don't want randoms on my friends list. It comes with everything you need to set up the switch, the joycons, controller hold thingy, charger, the bits that go on the joycons. Very well set up.
Held off for a buying it for years but it kept reappearing ion my daughter’s Christmas list! Great console - my daughter loves it! Love the versatility of it being a portable system, or being able to hook it up to the TV.My son has an Xbox and it’s more of a one player system, where as the games on this one are geared to a single player or family - and we’ve joined in with her and love it too.Definitely Recommend!
It has only been a week since I received my Switch and one of the Joycons are already faulty (if you heard of the "Joycon drift" controversy, it happened to me on my first week of playing -_-)It would suddenly disconnect in the middle of the game and take another 10 mins to reconnect. Sometimes characters would randomly move or respond when I am not pressing any buttons. Nintendo's manufacturing team would be to blame. I'll see if Target would be able to offer me a replacement or help me fix it.Also, Target's delivery team left my Switch out in the open in a very sunny, hot day. They didn't even bother to ring the doorbell when I was home all day. I love it. I'm so happy with the purchase of my Nintendo switch it was so worth the money. I have spent so many hours playing it already. Only small downside is the kick stand but they have apparently fixed that with the new model. But i just bought a third-party stand and it works and sits perfectly on the hospital tables and other surfaces. I would 100% buy it again. I haven't had any issues with the battery either occasionally i will have a low battery warning but it has never gone flat while playing it but i normally stick it on charge when I'm going for tests. I don't use it when it charging and have only charged it with the dock except one time when i was checking to make sure it charged without the dock and i haven't needed a sd card yet the space seems ... MoreI love it. software was working just fine however hardware was not- controller locks arrived snapped and therefore the joycons slid off and made playing it portably impossible, therefore i had to return it which is a same since it was a gift for my boyfriend. took it back and went to JB HI-FI straight after, but unfortunately it’s more expensive there. target has the cheapest available out of EB games, CEX games, JB HI-FI, and everywhere else. believe me i checked. definitely good for budget if you are patient with waiting for third party metal locks to arrive in the mail unlike myself! can cut a good third of the price off if you get it from here :)
