Nivea Nourishing in Shower Lotion, Body Lotion For Dry Skin, 13.5 fl

I love using this product for in-the-shower hydration. I have incredibly dry skin as I am a swimmer and spend 18 hours a week training in a pool. This body lotion has become an essential step for me to keep my flaky skin at bay. I love using it as a first step in a hydrating routine- I typically top with another lotion. If you don’t have incredibly dry skin, though, you’ll probably be able to just use this instead of an additional lotion step outside of the shower. The convenience of it is great for not having to put lotion all over your hands and body fresh out of the shower as well.

This is a fairly good body lotion….. I like it so much because it’s a convenient and quick product to use. Sometimes I don’t have the time to put on body lotion fresh out the shower because I’m in a hurry and got get dressed and out the door so to be able to apply lotion on in the shower, rinse off and be done is epic in my opinion. This is also a really good option to use in the summer time when it’s hot and sticky and you don’t want some thing heavy over the skin like lotion because you will be sweating it off but still want smooth soft skin. This lotion actually gets the job done, I mean it smells really nice and my skin does feel smooth and soft after using it. I will say I am a little bit skeptical though. I’ve been using in shower, body lotions for years as I have extremely dry skin. This one is a very good lotion. It has a medium consistency that is easy to rub into skin and rinses off cleanly. If I had to critique anything would say the smell could be a little bit better, but it’s not an offputting smell, I just prefer the smell of some other shower body lotions better. It does a very good job of keeping my skin hydrated. In the winter, I like to layer this with the Nivia, essentially enriched, deep, nourishing serum, and in the summer I just use the shower lotion. I would definitely recommend this product.

This is my new favorite product. I like to be as low maintenance as possible when it comes to self care, and im lazy about applying lotion after a shower. This product in large part takes that problem away. I can slather it on, not have to worry about really rubbing it in well, rinse it off and bam! Im clean, moisturized and ready to get on with my day. This in shower moisturizer has very little scent to it which is fine by me. I think it does a pretty good job in keeping my skin moist. It’s not the most thoroughly moisturizing lotion on the market but it definitely gets the job done. This is great for lazy girls, and btw im on my third bottle!

An experience

I like it A LOT. So if you don't like a moisturizer type of feeling don't use it. I am a girl so I wait after I have shaved, exfoliate my skin. I add my conditioner to my hair and make sure to use a small comb to run the conditioner threw. Then add this. OMG!!!! It feels so good. Stand there. Then as you rinse your hair the body lotion in the shower runs off your body. It feels amazing. Makes sure to pat your body dry and not rub it. You want to follow threw with lotion and or oil to keep your skin fresh, smelling good and moisturized. I love my shower time. You can even take some of this and drop some in your bath water and mix it around. I can have some dry skin and I seriously hate it. I want soft skin.

Great - It does what it says.

I have trouble with extremely dry, itchy skin. Usually, I have this issue during cold weather months. It's obviously a result of being indoors with a heat source that dries the air. I use a vaporizer and humidifier to help but it does not alleviate my dry skin. This product, Nivea In Shower Lotion, is the solution for me. I've used it, mostly during winter months, for several years, with great success. I strongly endorse it.Note the warning on the label about potentially slippery surfaces. I didn't heed the warning and I slipped and fell in the tub. Be sure to rinse the tub well with hot water!

Number One Fan

This is one of my favorite products of all time. My husband frequently compliments how soft my skin is and this is the ONLY body lotion I use! The cocoa butter one smells like baby dolls and I cannot get enough. You can put on the clingiest leggings after you use this and it’s not the slightest bit uncomfortable. I will buy this product forever and ever and insist Santa add it to everyone’s stockings. But PLEASE Nivea, give me a bigger bottle and a pump. I’m begging. Just do it. Please.

Potentially a great option if you have sensory issues with body lotion

Why did I wait so long to try this after multiple midwest winters? Body lotion is uncomfortably sticky to me and I dislike the extra step, so I used to just deal with the dry skin. This in-shower lotion is so quick and easy to apply and leaves my skin feeling naturally soft with no residue or stickiness. It has a fairly generic scent with a mild amount of the almond oil which is a scent I like. It doesn't linger after applied. The texture is easy to squeeze out of the bottle and control how much comes out. It doesn't feel like lotion or body creams really, it's really its own texture. It reminds me of Korean essences that when applied mesh onto the skin without leaving stickiness. I'm a little split on how I feel about it having petrolatum in it, but it is what it is.

What does this do lol?

So I followed the instructions which states to apply this after using my normal body washes or soaps. I did just that but it just felt like I was washing with regular lotion, I thought it would be a thicker feeling and gets moistened up as you lather along, but no.....it's just a regular lotion feel. Like legit though, you're better off just rinsing off with regular lotion. This doesn't feel like it's doing anything my skin feels no different than it did the day before or day before that. Again another failed product by Nivea. They should just stick to post shave balms.

fine except for the packaging

The lotion is fine, and it smells nice, but the packaging is not great. You have to get a death grip on it to get any lotion out after the first few uses - and you're in the shower with lotion on your hands and now on the bottle, so you're trying to squeeze with a death grip but not so hard it slips out of your hand and thwangs against the shower wall. I don't have arthritis or anything like that, and I still resorted to taking the whole cap off. Except the cap is the only flat part that lets you set it down without it falling over, so now you're trying to grip a greased-up bottle under one arm the whole time. I'd buy it again if they considered a softer plastic or even a pump bottle, but I don't love the current form.
