Product comes in a lovely 30ml glass bottle, has a pump dispenser and is made in Australia. The ingredients list reads more like a skincare product, it has some lovely ingredients and I had high hopes - sadly I was very disappointed.I chose the shade C1 Ivory and must admit the colour is perfect for me, it is slightly yellow and not pink at all. This foundation has a very thick consistency and smells "off", a real earthy and mouldy vegetables kind of smell. However that being said I'd rather a funky natural smell than a product laden with artificial perfume. That smell lingers too, so be prepared to smell it all day. What can I say, this is an epic failure of a product. That smell lingers too, so be prepared to smell it all day. What can I say, this is an epic failure of a product. It claims to be light to medium buildable coverage (even though it's says "sheer" on the pack) - big no, it does not build at all and the coverage is 0, looks like I put a basic moisturiser on my face, nothing was covered at all.It WILL NOT build, once you put it on the skin and try to blend, it pulls off whatever skincare you have underneath and makes a patchy mess. I tried to fix it by putting another layer on (as it says buildable), but the mess got worse. If you touch it with a beauty blender, a brush or fingers it just makes an even thicker patchy mess.I got so frustrated with it because every time I used it I had to wash it off my face and put my (expensive!) skincare on all over again. I tried it with a primer, without a primer, with fingers, with the supplied brush (not good) and with a beauty blender - nothing makes this product work. The almost acceptable method was to put it on with a soft flat top kabuki, that made it look a little less ridiculous but the streaks and patches still dominated and again had to wash it off.Claims also to be luminous, again, no. It leaves a demi-matte finish to my skin and nothing about it is dewy or radiant, there's not even any fine shimmer so don't know how the luminous bit can be claimed. This is the second foundation failure I've had with NbN, I think they should stick to their mineral powders as they are fantastic.

This is a light coverage liquid foundation from Nude by Nature and comes in 10 shades. The product comes in a 30ml frosted bottle with a pump that's nicely packaged in a box. Some skin-beneficial ingredients include: Jojoba oil, glycerin, lactic acid, sodium hyaluroniate (hyaluronic acid), ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate (Vit C), Syzygium (Lilly Pilly) extract, Green Tea extract, Kakadu Plum extract. I was impressed with the formula - there is no fragrance, and it contains hydrating ingredients and antioxidants. For those who are worried about silicones, this one is silicone-free too.I picked the shade 'W2 Natural' for this trial, and it was a close, though not perfect match for my NC17 face. The undertone was warm enough but just a tad too dark for me, but I'd say it would suit those who are MAC shade NC20-25 well. The product dispenses easily and I need about 1.5 pumps for a single layer for my face. It can be a bit streaky when applied with a brush, so a bit of blending is necessary. The texture is beautiful - not heavy or greasy or waxy in anyway, hydrating but not occlusive. It stays breathable and comfortable on the skin all day long. The finish is definitely 'luminous', not too shiny but leaves a nice soft glow like that of healthy skin. It did not accentuate my fine lines or pores. My T-zone can get a bit shiny with time, but I realised that i had a Nude by Nature Mineral Finishing Veil translucent powder lying around and I've found that it worked very well in combination with this foundation, not taking away the glow yet absorbing any extra shine that would have otherwise crept in over the course of the day.The only minor criticism of this foundation is that it is not a long-lasting foundation. At the end of the day it is barely there. If I can find the perfect shade, I would not mind applying a second layer to see if that helps. Overall it is a really beautiful foundation that glides on to your skin, making it look radiant and healthy. I found myself reaching for it a lot as it is a pleasure to use. I look forward to seeing the product in-store so that I can try the lighter shade.

As part of the trial team I was given the Nude by Nature luminous sheer liquid foundation to try out. As a huge fan and lover of NBN and their products I was thrilled to test it out. The liquid foundation is a lightweight foundation that provides sheer coverage for a dewy and healthy look that doesn't look or feel like makeup. If my skin was perfect then I would definitely be wearing more light coverage foundation but due to acne and scars I normally wear medium to full coverage foundation. However, on the days when I want that "no makeup" type of look this is exactly the type of product I would be drawn to. It's in between which I like because you can easily spread the product across your face. I applied it with the Nude by Nature foundation brush and what I noticed instantly was just how light the coverage was. Apply the foundation it just blended so easily and the coverage was minimal as expected. It gave my skin a hydrated and dewy look without looking oily. It contains ingredients including jojoba oil to hydrate the skin while making your skin look healthy. In terms of evening out my skin tone I would say it did not help that much for my acne so I had to go back and apply a bit of concealer to these areas. The foundation absorbs right away and you couldn't even tell that I was wearing foundation that's how sheer it was which is a good thing! I think the foundation is great for that "your skin but better" type of look and it's even better during the summer months when you don't want to wear full coverage foundation. As my skin is more on the oily side I would add a bit of powder on top because several hours later my face would start to look too shiny. For people who have normal to dry skin that may not be necessary. Overall, I think it's a great foundation and it's a nice contrast to heavy, full coverage foundation for a natural yet gorgeous look.

I love the colour of this - I have it in Latte (N3) which is a strong medium colour tone. It suits me very well and looks a natural colour on me, giving my skin a lift as I like foundations to do - it takes away the deathly greys skin tones in some of the areas around my face. This foundation makes my skin look alive (which it is but you know a lot of days I just don't wake up looking like it's very alive). It very much enhances my own skin, giving a look of illumination and vitality. It is non-greasy and feels like its oil-free which I love too as I have enough oil of my own.The instructions say to give this a shake before each application and I expect that's due to the very natural ingredients. I get a bit of joy shaking a product before using it so this is an easy thing for me to do and remember to do. It feels kind of natural to shake a product before using it but that could just be my own personal funny habit!I find it best to apply this product with a foundation brush (I used the Nude By Nature one) as it helps to get the liquidy formula dispersed about the skin evenly. I then continued to spread and blend the product around my face evenly. I liked to use the normal mirror to do this and then I checked my application with my magnifying mirror to make sure it's blended properly - I'm glad I did check in the magnifying mirror because I did miss a few spots as when you get past a certain age, it's easy to not see things so clearly close-up.The colour looks more natural on me (as with any foundation) with a touch of bronzer across my cheeks over the top of this and then sometimes I also like to add a dab of blush too. This makes my make-up look more natural and less flat. The formula of this liquid foundation, as mentioned before, is liquidy and needs to be blended carefully with a brush - I tried it with my fingers and I find the brush better to do it with although I still get my fingers in there a bit too just to blend out some spots easily. That's just me and the way I do it though.I find this foundation gives a light-medium coverage though I would call it more on the lighter side of medium. So it's not a heavy thick foundation at all - more a lighter, natural one which gives my skin a real glow. I feel this foundation is more about giving my skin a beautiful glow rather than a mask-like effect. Thankfully too because I do love that natural glow it gives my skin. Just like the name suggests - luminous sheer - as it does give my skin a definite luminosity and is a good quality sheer foundation.I would have adored it if this foundation came with some SPF but I don't think it does and so I wear a good moisturiser with SPF in it underneath. That does the trick!I like the quality of the glass bottle and the shiny rose gold lid on this packaging.
I was lucky enough to be a part of the trial team for Nude by Nature Luminous Sheer Foundation. The shade I trialled was C1 Ivory. The housing for this natural foundation is a white cardboard box with rose gold foil writing stating name of brand. Ingredients are listed on the side, and the top shows the shade number and name. The foundation came in a 30ml frosted glass bottle with a rose gold plastic pull off lid and pump dispenser which is a bonus, both for ease of use as well as hygiene standards. It is a weighty bottle with the brand name written on the front and the bottom of the bottle has a sticker stating the shade name and number. On first glance the bottle doesn’t seem full. It appears to have at least a 1cm gap from the top to where the foundation level sits. I believe though Nude by Nature have declared that they meet legal fill weight requirements for this product. The consistency is different in the fact it appears separated. I thought this was due to being heat affected through transport, however again Nude by Nature have declared that this formula is susceptible to separation due to its natural properties. After giving this product a good shake, the foundation became more uniform and it appeared well mixed. On first use, this foundation seemed to be no more than a sheer tinted moisturiser and even though I usually wear sheer to light foundation I immediately thought that this was just not going to give me any cover at all. How wrong I was. In my opinion this formula seems to need about 10 seconds or so to blend well once applied on the skin, this may be due to using the Nude by Nature Foundation brush though. It first appeared streaky and obvious but then in the next place it was blended - so well in fact that it was hard to see just where the foundation was - but in a good way as it evened out my skin tone and took away any redness. I disagree that this product is buildable - it is not. If you go over again with more foundation it tends to lift off the first layer. I’m happy though that the coverage of one layer was good enough for me.I have combination skin bordering on dry with signs of ageing and wrinkles. I applied this foundation over my usual moisturiser and SPF and some days have used a primer just to see if there’s any difference in longevity. All days I can state that at the end of the day with at least 8+ hours of wear, it did leave me looking a little shiny. I tried using powder over the top but ended up with the same result. However it didn’t sit into any lines and didn’t break me out which is a huge bonus. All in all I have grown to like this foundation and having never used Nude by Nature products before I am a convert to this brand. I would definitely repurchase this and believe it is a good light foundation for everyday.
Well I am in love with this foundation. Thank you nbn for creating a foundation I’m actually happy to use, and thanks to BH and nbn for the opportunity to try it or I may have remained oblivious.I have hated foundation for about 40 years—ever since my first dancing concert when I had it caked all over my face and felt like my skin couldn’t breathe. I’ve tried several since then, with salespeople from many brands (drugstore and high-end) over the years convincing me to buy their latest, lightest coverage foundations. I’ve tried several since then, with salespeople from many brands (drugstore and high-end) over the years convincing me to buy their latest, lightest coverage foundations. But none have every really won me over and I tend to use them for one event and then never again. I still dislike the feel of foundation on my face and generally break out into a sweat almost immediately with most of them. I also dislike the one-dimensional look they give your skin, requiring you to add every one of your facial features back on with even more make-up.This has totally changed my view on foundation. This is a genuinely light foundation!!It allows some of the natural variations in skin tone through—killing off 1that one-dimension look—while still covering the imperfections like rosacea, blemishes and toning down the dark spots. It breathes, it really breathes. It doesn’t feel caked on at all and once dry, it literally feels like you are not wearing make-up. No reaction by my ridiculously sensitive skin. No clogged feeling. No extra blemishes after use. And no instant sweats!!! (That’s a HUGE win for me)There is one minor downside, but not enough to take off a star (maybe half a star if we had that option), and that is that it does have a funky aroma when you first apply it. It’s kind of earthy and non-descript, not fake or florally, but my scentsitive nose wasn’t a fan. It doesn’t disappear immediately on drying, but after about 1/2 hour it has diminished so you don’t notice it anymore. The packaging is a classy glass bottle (recyclable, tick) with a skinny metallic-looking (but plastic, boo) cap. It has a small pump dispenser mechanism hidden under that cap so even if you leave the lid off there is little contact with the air—no doubt prolonging the shelf-life of the foundation. It will be interesting to see how effective the pump is at extracting the very last bits of foundation from the bottle, as it does not unscrew to do the ol’ bang-against-your-hand trick to get the dregs out ... and for the first time in my life, I think I might actually use this foundation enough to find it out. I will try to remember to come back and add a comment to my review when I get to that point.
I was excited to trial this new Nude by Nature foundation because I have been on a mission all year to find a foundation that doesn’t look cakey or dry, has a light to medium coverage, doesn’t feel tacky or clogging, and has a shade that matches my skin tone.I chose the shade C2 Rose Sand from a list of shades offered. This is quite a good shade but I think perhaps a lighter one might be better. My favourite go-to product is a BB cream which is the perfect shade for me but sadly it is now discontinued so I have been looking for a similar product. The foundation is packaged in a frosted glass bottle with a metallic rose gold pump and top. The bottle holds 30ml of product. This foundation contains active natural Australian ingredients such as Kakadu Plum, Lilly Pilly and Quandong, combined with rich vitamins and antioxidants. The hydrating foundation has a lightweight creamy consistency which aims to even out the complexion and enhance skin radiance. I’m really pleased with the condition of my skin at present so I prefer a light coverage. To apply the foundation I first give the bottle a good shake and then pump some product onto the back of my hand and work from there. My normal routine when applying a foundation is to apply a serum, moisturiser (or sunscreen) and primer which I started off doing when I first used the foundation. The first primer I used was a Nude by Nature one but after applying the foundation I ended up with a patchy mess that lifted off my skin. For a week I mixed and matched skincare products and primers and eventually decided that the foundation applied and looked best with just a serum underneath. In regards to applying the foundation, part of the trial was to use the Nude by Nature Liquid Foundation Brush. I don’t particularly like using a brush because I much prefer applying foundation with my fingers but I gave it a go and achieved fairly good results although not perfect. I found I used a lot more product using the brush because I was trying to smooth out the streaky look. Applying the foundation with my fingers gave a better result for me.So after all of that, what do I actually think of this luminous sheer liquid foundation. I quite like it for an everyday light foundation although I’d like to try a lighter shade. I have freckles, a few age spots and fine lines. This foundation provides a dewy radiant finish, evens out my skin tone rather than covering up my skin, does not settle in my fine lines, and doesn’t clog my pores. For those reasons I’m prepared to give a four star rating.I’m quite happy to wear this foundation on a daily basis, especially during the warmer months because it feels so comfortable. I admit it took a lot of tweaking to get the best results from the foundation but perseverance has paid off.
To start, I have mature (50 yr old) skin, with an oily T-zone and normal cheek area. My skin can be quite oily in the summer through the T-zone and the days when I wore this foundation were around 30 degrees. The foundation colour I received was a perfect match for my skin W2 which is a neutral light beige. I normally shy away from dewy illuminating formulas as they are usually too oily for my skin, but this one wasn't so bad.I already had some Nude By Nature mineral primer so I used this under the foundation. I do think that the primer helped with the longevity of the foundation. I applied the foundation with the brush that was supplied with the trial the first time I used it and I think that the brush is definitely the best option for application of this ... MoreTo start, I have mature (50 yr old) skin, with an oily T-zone and normal cheek area. The coverage is light, natural and sheer, more coverage than a tinted moisturiser or BB cream but not a foundation that will cover marks if you have them. It really gives a beautiful natural not made-up look which is perfect for my skin and every day wear. The first time I wore it was to my niece's year 8 graduation which was held in a school auditorium that was not airconditioned and had minimal air flow so it was HOT. I did sweat a fair bit and I also wear glasses so that doesn't help with the heat and sweating either. While this foundation did come off under the nose pads of my glasses, the fact is ALL foundations do, so I didn't have any unrealistic expectations of it not coming off my nose. However, as this foundation was a perfect match for my skin tone it really didn't look weird or smudged at all and because it is a sheer coverage it was not noticeable at all. After wearing the foundation for a few hours I did need to touch up in my T-zone but I was able to do this with the Nude By Nature Mineral Veil which is another product that I already owned prior to this trial.Overall, for a dewy foundation it is the perfect coverage for me and I received a lot of compliments on how great my skin was looking that day. The only thing worth mentioning is there is a 'smell' when you first apply it, hard to describe but it disappears very quickly once applied. As for wear, I had it on most days for about 9 hours or so and it was still looking really nice right to the end. I did touch up with Mineral Veil powder once each day at about lunch time but it lasted quite well on my skin.
I have used a few products from Nude by Nature and have always enjoyed using them so I was keen to try their latest foundation offering. I chose W2 Natural which was a very good match for my medium golden toned skin.To give you a bit of background I’m 50 years old and I have sun damaged skin, my main concerns are hyperpigmentation and fine lines and dull skin. My skin type is normal/combination with a tendency towards dehydration and I have an oily T zone.First impressions of the packaging is very positive. I really liked the frosted glass bottle, rose gold lid and detailing. It’s a gorgeous elegant looking bottle of foundation. It contains 30ml of product. The pump packaging works really well, just one pump is sufficient to cover my face once and then another pump for extra coverage.I had to experiment a bit to get results from the foundation. Using the Nude by Nature Liquid Foundation Brush I was provided with, I blended the foundation into my skin. It did take a bit of effort to blend it evenly into my skin, I prefer to just use my fingers or make up blender. The texture of the foundation is quite creamy, once you use the foundation brush to blend, it turns opaque and applies a bit streaky with the brush, as you continue to blend, the colour slightly deepens in colour. The resulting finish is very sheer, dewy, luminous and radiant. It leaves a slightly tacky feeling to the skin. You definitely require a setting powder to fix this foundation. The first application of foundation just disappeared into my skin, like I hadn’t used foundation at all, it didn’t conceal my pigmentation spots, I had to apply a second application for a more noticeable result, even that was very subtle. I was also provided with the Nude by Nature Perfecting Concealer which did improve the coverage and helped camouflage my blemishes again only to a small degree. The end result was very sheer natural coverage, it does live up to its name, it’s very sheer and luminous! I would liken it to a tinted moisturiser. It does contain lots of great actives including Kakadu plum, Lily Pilly, Quandong and vitamins and antioxidants which are included to improve radiance of your skin. The foundation is very hydrating, it didn’t settle into my fines lines and its longevity is minimal, it’s not a very long lasting foundation.Personally I prefer a bit more coverage, if you have mostly good skin and love a dewy, sheer finish, natural looking foundation you could consider this. As I mentioned I would think this has similar coverage to a tinted moisturiser but with extra skin boosting benefits.I’m a bit on the fence on whether I would recommend this foundation because although it does live up to its claim of sheer and luminous, it doesn’t completely address what I require in a foundation.
I have to admit that I don’t like heavy makeup. My ideal foundation is one that is barely noticeable, but simply lifts my complexion and smooths out any unevenness. The Luminous Sheer Liquid Foundation by Nude by Nature is exactly that. It goes on lightly - with just the right amount pumped out by the pump, dotted on and then worked into the skin. The foundation feels lovely against the skin, doesn’t cake or streak, and is absorbed into a natural looking effect very fast (especially if you use the buffing brush). I love so many things about this foundation. One is that Nude by Nature is an ethical Australian company that uses all-natural high quality ingredients and of course doesn’t test on animals. I love so many things about this foundation. One is that Nude by Nature is an ethical Australian company that uses all-natural high quality ingredients and of course doesn’t test on animals. Another is that this product is full of skin-enhancing ingredients that help improve the skin, not just make it look better. This includes green tea, hyaluronic acid, kakadu plum, lilly pilly, and vitamin c. It’s moisturising and rinses off very easily at night but doesn’t run or streak, even when you sweat (and I’ve been really putting that to the test with this hot weather we’ve been having!). It has no scent which I really appreciate. The foundation is reasonably priced (like all NbN products, which are often on sale) but looks lovely and swish in its bronze capped frosted glass container which matches all the products in the NbN range. It leaves my dry, aging skin feeling so good, I tend to wear this even on days when I’m not going to be seeing anyone or going to work just for the skin benefits. Best of all, it leaves my skin looking very natural, glowing, and healthy while covering fine lines, minimising pores and adding a bit of polish. The coverage may be light but I find that the foundation has not disappeared by the end of the day - particularly if you wear it over a light moisturiser, primer or sunscreen. I really love this foundation which ticks all of my boxes.
