NYX Professional Makeup Shout Loud Satin Lipstick - A La Mode

PROS: Super cute, heart-stamped lipstick bullet! When applied onto my lips, the color on my lip is the same as the color of the actual lipstick. I did not have to apply that much product to get that pay off either. My lips felt hydrated the whole time the lipstick was on, probably because of the infusion of mango and shea butter. I did not keep track of how long it was on for, but it claims to have four hours of hydration. It could be that the lipstick is a red color, but this thing lasted a pretty long time! I didn't mind the fading of the color, because it basically turned into a dark pink stain that I could just apply lip balm over the leftover color. Made my lips feel and look like satin. I personally prefer a matte finish, so I blotted after application. The lipstick was very smooth to apply. Hello built-in primer! It doesn't crust off. [brand:nyx] is Cruelty-free and PETA certified! Yay, no testing on animals! I would probably purchase this to try the other shades. 24 to choose from! CONS: Not transfer proof. Also, I should not expect much out of an affordable brand like [brand:nyx], but the packaging felt cheap and plastic-y. The hearts on the packaging make it look cute at least. There's a heart on the top of the packaging with the shade of the lipstick, but the shades do not match. The lipstick is actually brighter than the outside of the packaging.

I love the little heart on the lipstick bullet. It’s a fun and flirty touch. I’m wearing the color “a la Mode” which is a truffle-nude color. It’s perfect paired with a bronze look or with a sultry, smokey eye. I do recommend exfoliating your lips beforehand because of the “grippy” formula as it will accentuate any dryness or cracks. I love these Nyx lipsticks. Super reasonably priced, highly pigmented and non drying. This is not a long wearing lipstick but it is not advertised as long wearing. My lips get easily irritated and this lipstick feels like a lip balm. Just a couple of swipes and boom, great color. The desert rose is a brighter pink with a white base. It is not a neon color but it's still fun. I have warm undertones in my skin and gray hair and I think both lipsticks look pretty good on me.

I haven’t had the best experience with NYX lipsticks but holy moly this formula is the best I’ve tried in a very long time! It’s not overly wet or shiny, it gives just the right amount to leave your lips looking plump and hydrated. The application was extremely smooth and I got almost full opacity with one swipe. I only have to go over my lips once more to get a fully even application ( and that’s probably because I have drier lips). The lipsticks smells heavenly and feels comfortable on the lips. The formula is a little thick but a nice thick, not too heavy. It feels almost like a lip mask. Reapplication is easy and effortless, the layers of lipstick mix together perfectly. The tube feels weighted and high quality. I will be purchasing another one for sure because I’d love to have this in a darker shade! This specific shade was slightly too bright for my tan neutral Indian skin tone, but that’s mainly a preference of mine due to my darker originally pigmented lips.

It is very creamy to the touch and doesn't dry out my lips. It actually moisturizes them indstead. I have very sensitive skin, and I didn't have an allergic reaction to it either.The packaging of this lipstick is also very appealing to me as well. I really like the sleek design of the all black with a little red heart. I found the lid of this lipstick to stick pretty well, so it shoud be able to survive the test of my purse and not fall off.This product is regularly available at my local Target. I haven't checked Walgreens, Rite Aid, or Walmart yet. But, I am happy to know that it is available in at least one store close by. I find this lipstick to be perfrect for when I perform on stage.The only complaint that I have about this lipstick is that the price is pretty expensive for me. It means that it is harder for me to afford it reularly, since I am of low income.This product is very impressive. I would actually rate this product with a 4.9 out of 5. With the only negative is it's price. However is it worth the price? Yes, without a doubt. This product is definately a really great value for the price.

Great colour that lasts

This lipstick lasts. What a great buy, it comes at a great price and is really good value. The stain lasts for ages, I even had a coffee and it remained in place. I love the nude tones and the pigment in this lipstick is great quality and has a lovely satiny finish. It’s creamy to apply, never dry and it’s quite moisturising on my lips. I love the classy black packaging which is really elegant and the bullet top with red heart is cute. NYX is a great budget friendly brand and I was impressed with this lipstick and will be buying more, I would recommend this product

Has a satin finish, but feels more like a matte

I got this because I really wanted something similar to the old NYX Butter LIPSTICKs, which they don't have anymore for some weird reason, but also never replaced with anything similar? But this is just so not it for me. This lipstick is so thick and drying it feels like a matte. When I first tried it on, I had to reread the packaging to make sure I got the satin version and not the matte. It has a "satin" finish, but the formula just feels sticky/thick and it balls up on itself like a Matte does when you rub your lips together. If you have dry lips, this will settle like a matte and cling to your dry spots. Upon receiving this lipstick, it comes in a nice plastic durable black tube with a cute heart on the end that displays the shade it contains. I received the shade Chic and have been wearing it for about two weeks now. When opening the lid, I also noticed the lipstick itself contains two cute hearts engraved on each side! The lid has been great at staying tight on the tube in my purse and not coming off making a mess, which is nice! It applies really easily, creamy and moist feeling but shortly after, makes my lips feel a little sticky! The color payoff is amazingly highly pigmented compared to most other brands I have tried! The color keeps me coming back day after day and looks great wearing in my pictures! Wish the color lasted longer though, it transfers! Not transfer-proof but nice coverage

PROS: Creamy, no taste, no smell, coverage is good, no bleeding or feathering. CON: Transfers very easily. The "Love Is A Drug (deep rose pink)" was too purple for my taste/complexion. The "Desert Rose (perfect pink)" 20U402 is a much better shade for me. Not sure I'd buy it again as I drink coffee all day and wouldn't want to have to check for lipstick smears...but overall, it's a nice lipstick if you're going to leave your lips alone for a while.
