I was sceptical about the review and to be honest I only bought it because it was in sale, but wow. I am really impressed with the performance, the levels of clean and strength is brilliant. I have problems with my gums so the ability to change pressure is brilliant. Chuffed, I would recommend.

The tooth brush is fantastic, and the colour is lovely, very rich. However there is one BIG bad thing about it. The battery. As the tooth brush is so very expensive the battery life is very poor. Not only does it bearly last a whole week, it also loses charge over night when not in use. My much cheaper oral b tooth brush although the quality of it wasn't as good the battery was much better, I thought by splashing out on this one I'd be getting the best of both worlds. Needles to say I'm not impressed with the battery at all, but the the clean itself IS the best.

I have a very crowded bottom set of teeth which I have been battling (along with my dentist) to clean properly. My wife has always talked about the way her teeth felt so clean after she has used her old electric toothbrush but I haven’t really paid much attention. Nevertheless come Christmas, she bought me the Oral B io8 electric toothbrush, so I though I would have a go as it was quite a costly purchase. But What a difference it has made, so much so that after a recent visit to the dentist, I had basically what you would call a ‘gold star’ . Carry on he said and keep up the good work, it really has made that much of a difference.

Despite paying 1/2 price, plus extra 10% off and Boots vouchers, it is still a lot of money for an electric toothbrush. However, I find the app extremely useful in ensuring all areas are fully cleaned. The recommendation is to clean for 2 minutes, but I have only once managed a 100% clean rating on the app in less than 3 minutes so I am unclear as to whether 2 mins is sufficient. Especially as I use the intensive rating and a hard bristle brush. The pressure sensor is great for ensuring you use it with appropriate pressure. By far my biggest bugbear with electric toothbrushes is that the battery capacity gradually declines over time, so within around 2 years they are pretty useless. I was a bit sceptical purchasing this item after reading some of the reviews regarding the battery life but I’m so glad I decided to ignore and give it a try.It’s the most amazing toothbrush that I’ve ever bought, the teeth feel and look so clean and it lasts 5 days on one charge. My dentist also agrees that this is the best toothbrush available right now.
This is my third Oral B toothbrush and it is a significant step-up from the previous ones. The technology used in these iO toothbrushes gives a smoother and more effective cleaning action and the pressure control light now indicates when the applied pressure is correct, as well as too high and too soft.At £170, the Boots price was the best I could see on offer now for the 8 iO model.
These brush heads work well with my Oral-B IO7 toothbrush. I believe the IO range of brush heads are specific to the IO toothbrushes - not interchangeable with other Oral-B toothbrushes in their range. Just be aware of this! I am very pleased with the results.
Great toothbrush but battery life poor. There is no indication that the battery is low and so if you dont put the toothbrush on charge every other day you will find it just stops midbrush. The old style used to last up to a week and then start to flash red when the battery was low but you could still use it a few times before it stopped. Toothbrush itself certainly gives a total clean feeling.
I'm going back to my normal electric brush because of the outlandish ridiculous Price of these PIECES OF PLASTIC WITH A FEW BRISTLES STUCK ON THEM!!!Has everyone gone nuts?!? Where do they think we get our money from? That tree in the back garden? Too far mate! Ditching the whizz bangy brush I got as a present, I could renew my manual brush every single day form the cost of these things!!
very expensive.only good to buy when there is deals on.very limited to different heads.compared to oral b electric toothbrush (not the IO brands) which to me is more more powerful and cleans teeth better and more range of toothbrush heads.not sure which consumers this is has been tested with before releasing this to the general public.
