I purchased the 3-port and 2-port units 6 years ago. I've used them every season, from about March to November, then store them in my garage, removing the batteries. I simply put batteries back in, connect them up and they are good to go again. They are on their 7th season now and still not a leak anywhere. When it's off, it's off, no drips. I'm amazed the display works perfect, not a missing pixel or distortion, and the unit works as it did when new, perfectly. I believe the internals have some rubber component, but they must be of great quality to last this long. I'm very impressed! I highly recommend this 3 port unit or the similar looking 2 port. It's about time they went back to simplicity in programming. This basic design had been around for a long time, then they changed it to something so ridiciously complicated it was impossible to use. Back to the basics ! Thank you. And with 3 outlets. Wow. Perfect for our garden.

This is the tenth Orbit timer I have used on a regular basis and have never had a failure. It is super easy to program and and I am pleased with how long the batteries last. I do remove the batteries after the season and s protect them from freezing in the offseason.
This timer is such a tremendous help! We can very easily set the clock and then the 3 separate times for the 3 separate hoses (%26 sprinklers) to then operate and water different sections of our yard. our yard is oddly shaped and takes time to hit the whole yard. When attempting to not water during the heat of the day, we had been limited to how much we could get done in the evening. This way, we set it for 3 different consecutive times in the morning. Now, don't have to worry about 3 different places in the morning, and now only have to mess with our hoses in the evening. This concept and item - THREE hose timer is an absolute blessing! THANK YOU!
I purchased this second time .It is simple and easy to set the timer .Also have options for rain delay.Overall I recommend.
I just wish they made this model of timer with more than 3 outlets... but they don't, so I own two of these, connected together (from Outlet 3 of one timer to the water inlet of the second timer) giving me 5 total outlets that are fed from one water connection (a pump drawing water directly from a pond).They are easy to set-up, especially compared to other brands I have used.
This is my second one. I am very happy with the first that I use in the front yard %26 some of the sides. Now I will use this one on the back yard. This one is identical to my first one. Easy to program. Easy to use.
It works well and I’ve learned the advantages of hanging a 3-port setup. I don’t like the plastic housing as it will strip threads or break down faster over time. I pray that it lasts the entire growing season. Would be considered a miracle of our lasts two summers.

Perhaps a more logical choice would have been a central control box and a separate valve for every zone. That might have saved me some money, but it would have meant running control wires to every valve. Also, winterizing a centralized system means blowing out the water lines with compressed air. so freezing doesn't damage the vales.
