I have been looking for a compact unit such as this in order to be able to quickly transfer from one work vehicle to another as required. and this fits the need perfectly.Bearing in mind that I am transferring from vehicles that are both 24v and 12v, I quite simply mounted it on a box which contains a 24v-12v step down transformer, and this allows me to move this unit as required.It is easy to use and has has the ability to change channels, adjust squelch,Volume from the handset, as well a swag of other features

I bought this UHF radio kit after my 5W hand held with in car kit died. I use a UHF radio with my work as a firewood logging contractor & pulling my caravan too. I found it easy to install. The kit comes with everything you need. I opted to mount the aerial on top of my snorkel on my Land Rover. A bit of thought. Some zip ties, a bolt, some washers, screws & some silicone to complete the job. This radio with it's high mounted external aerial has a superior range & power to the hand held in car kit options. All the features you need of a normal UHF radio in a compact easy to install kit.

A really easy install the day before leaving for Gibb River Road. Worked well for trip and antennae really added distance and clarity to calls over hand held unit. Will probably upgrade the fixed antennae to remove the temporary setup running through door rubbers. A great option if you want to move unit around, but consider fixed antennae option if you have mounting point , fix unit to car and skills to wire up other than cigarette plug.

Perfect for an easy plug and play use. No need to screw into the dash or run cables for power. Great range on the flat approx 3.5km not great in the hills for distance. Perfect for use on the highway to trucks to enable safe manoeuvring around a caravan or slower vehicles. Easy to use good clarity and variety of features.
I brought this unit as a means of communication when travelling in to the guts of Australia for my Astronomy trips. So far it has worked a treat. I have had this wired 8n to the cars accessories. My only complaint is the unit I received did not come with a user's guide. Other than the user guide the unit has done what I expected and what I needed it to do.
Works perfectly and so easy to transfer from one vehicle to another. The transmission is clear and very handy to have for long distances.
Bought at Noarlunga BCF. Unfortunately the unit did not perform very well. Reception was poor and distorted and transmission to a friends exact same unit (bought at the same time) was also poor. Antenna was attached to the roof of my vehicle. Used my 2 watt hand held Uniden which worked fine over the same distance. I will check again after further review of the unit and instructions and if necessary seek repair, replacement or upgrade.
Great little unit. Although when it rains, water comes in where the cord goes out for the antenna. Because it sits on the front window. The cord for the mic could be another 10cm longer.Non the less it was great. Just got it till I can get one fitted. But will probably just fit this one in now.
Exactly as it says. Plug and play. No installation work just run the cables and plug the unit into cig socket
Easy to install but I had to be inventive to stop rain ingress along the aerial lead.Speaker quality is marginal. Understanding vehicles travelling immediately behind mine and with my aerial roof mounted and unimpeded by other objects the voice quality is not great. I know it's a tiny unit but the speaker produces very tinny audio. I seemed to be clearly heard by those same vehicles so the unit is otherwise as hoped.
