After many years using UHF units of various brands I still keep coming back to this brand. It's easy to use and great value for money, postage speed was fantastic and online shopping was very easy with fantastic tech support. Well done to the team and thanks again for a well sorted unit.

The radio purchased was fitted into a fire fighting truck. Used the following night and nights and days after.Clear reception in extreme conditions of heavy smoke and distances for communication on the fire ground..Excellent product

After receiving this unit I pulled apart my dash and wired up the unit. When I turned on the volume knob nothing happened. Turns out to be a faulty volume knob which only turns on the unit when pressed at a certain angle. This may not be an issue to some people but I can’t be playing with my knob while I’m driving. Called customer service and was basically told I will have to wait while playing with my knob for a replacement to be delivered. Even asked if I could source one locally and swap over but they said no. In the meantime I’ll have to spend another hour and a half putting my dash back together only to pull it apart again at a later date, AND play with my dodgy knob while waiting for a new one, not happy.

I placed the order for my UHF Set with the mindset of ' If its cheap and nasty it cost less than $200' It was a risk I was willing to take.I placed my order on the 25th June 2020, and was very happy when It was at my post office for pick up on the 1st of August.I was overjoyed when I opened up the box and found Not only was the Quality awesome but everything I needed to install it was included.Its probably one of the easiest and quickest diy jobs I have attempted.The Aerial that comes as standard is of a high quality, not flimsy.I am pleased to say I feel This UHF set is worth Every cent spent and then some.Would recommend 250%
I have used Oricom products in the past and never had any issues, with products performing as expected.Oricom support is of a very high standard with staff willing to go "the extra mile" for customer satisfaction.Easy to install and operate.The power cable supplied was a little too short for immediate install into my D40 Navara.
I received my order within a week so a good start.The installation was straight forward and required very basic mechanical aptitude and some bits and pieces ie antenna mount and some connectors for battery terminals.All in all very pleased with the radio, the transmission and receiver do the job they are supposed to and it does the job it’s intended for. Didn’t need anything else as the radio will only be used when towing caravan.
I purchased this UHF in good faith, from an eBay seller who sells a lot of these products. The initial unit did not work. The replacement unit Oricom sent me did not work. Then the seller tells me they have problems with some vehicles (mine was an ex council Ford Ranger with 55,000k's). I tested heaps of different arrangements and conditions, including a side by side test with some handhelds, and with my brother's GME TX3100 plug and play (both of which performed perfectly). Despite this, the seller insisted they would not refund until Oricom had thoroughly tested both units. I needed a working unit quickly, so I bought a GME TX3100 plug an play locally, and I'm very impressed with it!! Unbelievable performance out of a physically small unit. The Oricom UHF028 is a good radio, Its cheap and it will get you out of trouble, I have only had it for a few days and i find it easy to use. I recommend this radio. for people that cannot afford over expensive radios like GME.
Great unit! Easy to install, simple to use. Speaker has great volume. LCD is easy to read and bright enough to see in direct sunlight. 6.5 db antenna is sturdy and the handheld unit is great to have when outside the vehicle. Very happy with my purchase
I have purchased many different UHF radios for the farm over the years. I find this particular models speaker tone better than the others, making them loud and clear especially in noisy machinery e.g. Tractor. They are simple radios with a large easy to see display. I have bought several for my own use and fitted a few for other farmers and they all say the same. Customer support was great to deal with when one failed which was replaced quickly under warranty. Great price is a bonus.
