Mind-blowing quality for the price.Initially bought it just to have a "just-in-case" dress watch, but once my Apple Watch broke down, I started wearing it daily and can't be happier with it.First of all, it looks absolutely stunning. The included bracelet does its minimalism and simplicity a disservice by being a fake crocodile, but the watch face in itself is timeless. The background reflects and disperses the sunlight in such a peculiar way I often find myself marveling at it while sitting outside.Second, the movement. Precise, running smoothly, with a characteristic pause-step of the second indicator. The only thing that betrays it's price is the calendar wheel that starts turning around 10 pm and only finishes by midnight. There is no satisfactory instant transition, but oh well - for a watch worth 100$ it's not bad. Not bad at all. Add the fact that it's an automatic and needs no winding and you've got a very solid movement.Third, precision. So far it has been loosing less than two seconds per day from its initial set. While I've read it was precise, taking between two weeks and a months to get offset by a minute was truly impressive, especially giving my prior experience with mechanical watches.Overall - Love it and love it every day a bit more. Absolutely grab one once the drop is back.

I have the Orient Bambino ver 2 second gen with the cream color face and Roman numerals with a dark brownish red strap. The hacking and hand winding movement seems to be accurate to about +13 secs a day. I prefer that to being slow as it'll likely slow slightly with age. The self winding and hand winding is a bit louder than my Seiko movements but it doesn't seem cheap at all. I really like this watch so far. I enjoy the accentuated dome of the crystal. It gives the face an interesting 3d effect. I'm not worried about scratching it as it's a dress watch and I won't be banging it around. I may end up swapping the strap at some point for a lighter brown one but I haven't bothered looking for a new 21 mm strap since I read they are tricky to come by. The Orient strap is nice quality anyway, a little more glossy than I like and I feel a tapered strap would fit the style of the watch better. All in all, it was a good drop price and I'm very happy with it.

Great purchase, but customs fees.So I got a FAC08003A0, v4 with a grey dial, shipped almost immediately, arrived in perfect condition. The watch is quite elegant, wears perfectly on my (admittedly large) wrist and gains about a minute per week which is ...average, good enough for the price I guess. Really satisfied with both the product and the delivery.But. There were further costs, namely an import duty tax. And although it was not all that significant financially it was still a good 35-40% on the original price, thus nullifying any price advantage over local vendors and, what is to me more important, undermining my trust to the service since there was no hint to it at the moment of the purchase.TLDR: European customers be aware: what you pay here does not ... MoreGreat purchase, but customs fees.So I got a FAC08003A0, v4 with a grey dial, shipped almost immediately, arrived in perfect condition. I have a modest watch problem - I acquire too many. Since moving to an Apple Watch, I wear traditional watches less, and have almost kicked the must-buy-another habit. Massdrop messes with me sometimes, however. They are just so affordable :)I am glad the bug bit me with the Orient Bambino. It is one fine looking timepiece. Others have commented on the high build quality for price, and I would agree.Upon close inspection, you can tell that it is not a four-figure Swiss or German watch, but on the wrist, it looks classy and expensive. I gave a presentation at a conference recently and actually had someone come up and ask what it was. If you're a watch-guy, you know that almost never happens - even if I'm wearing an IWC or Omega. Fun stuff.
5/5 stars, nice watch.Why?- Keeps excellent time. I don’t have to memorize how slow my watch is getting because this one stays consistent day after day.- comfy band. The leather softened without cracking or getting ugly even wearing it every day- lots of compliments. most people wear quartz watches so the sweeping second hand is mesmerizing. this is a very catchy watch without being ostentatious.- nice size. This fits under a dress shirt but is big enough to see.notes:i haven’t changed the band so I can’t speak to how well the springs hold uponce in a while the weight feels a little sloppy but most of the time I don’t notice it.Another pro:- no scratches!
The Orient Bambino is an icon to watch collectors. With its dressy looks, relatively slim profile, domed crystal and nicely finished dial and hands, there is no place where the attention to detail doesn't show off. A fairly accurate in-house-developed automatic mechanical movement and an extremely affordable price tag complete a package that all watch collectors love. It really doesn't matter which generation and model you pick, you are almost guaranteed to get compliments as you wear it.
The Ray 2 is probably one of the best dive watches you could get for under two hundred bucks.Looks great, cracking movement, decent WR, day/date complication, and solidly built.A couple of iffy things though; stamped clasp, and a notoriously small crown. But at this price, it’s easily permissible.Add everything up, you have one awesome watch.
Gorgeous watch. The operation is smooth and the hand winding is a good feature. I am a fan of automatic movements and this is obviously a quality one at a good price.
No jokes, the finished product is pretty much flawless, everything is straight, and the brushed finish looks perfect and so does the polished finish. Also, I am quite fond of the very loud and tactile winding rotor is. It gives the watch a sort of vintage feel. Also, that rotor is so easy to move that the watch takes less body movement to wind itself which is a big plus for somebody who works behind a computer every day.
You are probably considering this watch because you actually know a thing or two about watches or have been influenced by a recent review. There are plenty of reviews available already to help you make your mind up. For the price it is unbelievable that you get a hacking and handwinding movement that has decent accuracy for an auto. In my opinion Orient provide even greater value for money than their big brother seiko. As such I own this and the Orient Ray, both of which get plenty of wrist time. The single best thing about this watch is the simply stunning grey face that just 'pops' from every angle. It is a thing of beauty. This watch really does look like it's worth ten times as much. Goes great with a suit and tie or as an evening dress watch. My only criticism would be that as this is a classy understated dress watch it would have been better of being 38mm rather than the hefty 42mm it is. Also the strap out length of 21mm does somewhat limit your potential for aftermarket straps. Both minor points. So go ahead you don't be disappointed.
