A year on the wood that I used this product on, which is for an oak shelf in my bathroom, looks great. I would definitely recommend this product for using on wood where there is moisture. I do, however, take care of the wood and always wipe it over with a dry cloth after it has got wet. It looks great (finished with Osmo oil).

I applied this product around my sink area in my kitchen as I have wooden work tops and it protects them brilliantly. I would recommend using 2-3 coats to ensure you have enough of the product soaked in for it to do the job. I anticipate however that I will have to reapply 2-3 times a year as I do a lot of washing up! So far I'm very happy how this has protected the wood and although it's ever so slightly on the glossy side (it doesn't match the Osmo Top Oil Matt that I applied to my kitchen island), I would most certainly take this over no protection at all as I would hate for the wood to go grey from too much water saturating into it. Very impressed!

We were renovating our 15 year-old oak butchers block kitchen worktops which were looking very patchy. The area around the taps behind the kitchen sink had gone black owing to the amount of water which had splashed on to it and then soaked in over the years. Having sanded it all down that area still looked slightly darker than the rest but applied 2 coats of the wood protector hoping that it would stop any further damage. We then applied 2 coats of Osmo Top Oil 3058 which enhanced the worktop without making it too dark or orangey. The area behind the sink still gets splashed but the water just stays on the top and can be wiped off so not penetrating the wood. Really pleased with the result.
I've always used this whether on floors, work surfaces, doors or anything else. It's very thin so soaks into the wood (read the instructions on the side, which say apply generously, not those on the lid which say apply sparingly). I'm sure it helps give a more durable surface and, but this may just be my perception, I think it brings out the grain better than the polyx oil alone. Only downside is that you cannot put the next coat on for 24 hours, although it is usually dry enough to walk on within 12.

Used this around the sink cutout edges prior to re oiling the worktop. A long drying time, but hopefully will add an extra layer of protection.
Used this as a 1st coat on oak worktops around the sink and window areas. Blended in to 1st coat polyx on other areas. Topped with polyx for 2nd and 3rd coats. Used to prevent blue bkack staining which can happen to oak if water penetration. Have to say the way the polyx has finished the surface, theres a totally waterproof finish anyway, so they don't appear to have needed this, but only time will tell....
Difficult to review not having any previous experience of this product and itâ₏™s effectiveness under use , in this case on oak in a bathroom environment. That can only be concluded when Iâ₏™ve seen the surface after a few months of use but generally I find Osmo products to be durable and effective.
the best... honestly. was recommended to me by a carpenter of 30 years. now having used it i can say it is better than danish oil, or linseed or any other worktop oil you care to try. my builder was also really impressed with it. goes on perfectly. now the wood shows zero signs of marks since using this. excellent.
