Love my new Osprey Dyna 6. Took it for a spin on a 11km trail the first week I had it and it was perfect for me.I read reviews and sized up when I purchased. It was super comfy and didn't chafe. I could fit my rather large phone in the front, and you could add flasks if you want to (it's not my thing). Plenty of room for snacks and first aid equipment. And I love the blue colour.I will be purchasing the additional insulated kit for the reservoir as I have some summer trails coming up.Big thanks to Mont Adeventure Equipment. I needed this straight away and they had my Osprey out in the post the same day I ordered. I could not fault their customer service, an amazing team.

Overall, this pack delivers what you think it does. No horrible surprises also, sadly, no amazing surprises (which it seems like it has a trick up its sleeve with the catchy color combo).Pockets aren't the best locations (compared to other vests i've used), the opening sizes are also not the more convenient. It is great that it comes with a bladder, but i wish it also had the option of bottles (coming standard). I am 5'7 130lb and the smallest size fits me, almost getting to the 'too big' on some days. I'm sure there are MANY smaller women/men out there that need a smaller size than me, so having that as an option, and/or 'childrens' sizes would be nice.I LOVE THE COLOR COMBO! I had my eye on this pack color for years and i am so glad i finally have it!The red/pink mesh that contacts your body is a tad scratchy at first, (if you run shirtless/sports bra only) but after a few wears, it softens. It is SUPER breathable compared to other similar packs, but the fabric does stretch out over time, but it is over years of use.I wish more zipper pockets and less open pouch areas, but such is life. Also, the red side areas are not pockets, i like having storage in more places than just the front and back.. so i personally would have liked to have a little side pocket below my arm pit area.

I bought this pack about a month ago and immediately used it for a week of day hikes around the Chamonix valley. I’ve had a previous version of this pack and am enjoying the updated features including the shorter hydration tube and horizontal zipper for easier access to hydration pack and main storage. It’s much easier to refil the water reservoir now without having to navigate the long tube through a tiny loop in the pack. Just more user friendly.I am looking forward to many more miles with this pack, hopefully including some running miles with it soon.

Fantastic no-frills running hydration vest
3 April 2023

Having had quite a few hydration vests over the years from Osprey, Salomon and Camelbak, I was looking for a lighter vest for shorter runs that would be cooler in the summer. The Osprey Duro LT checks those boxes. The light material on the back keeps me cooler than a traditional vest with more storage. The front bottle holders can hold both the included 12oz bottles and even the larger "standard" sized 20oz bottles. The rear pouch is open on both ends and can accommodate a light jacket, or I usually put my phone back there in a plastic bag to help balance the load. Front storage is limited to 2 small stretch pockets and a zippered pocket. The small stretch pockets will hold a few bars or gels without issue, but don't plan on taking a ton of nutrition.I think this ... MoreHaving had quite a few hydration vests over the years from Osprey, Salomon and Camelbak, I was looking for a lighter vest for shorter runs that would be cooler in the summer. The Osprey Duro LT checks those boxes. Longer runs though, you'd want to look at a larger pack.

Perfect for my needs

I nought the 6L model for longer trail runs a couple of months back and absolutely loved it. Knowing that this pack had the same features, pocket placement, etc., I was keen to purchase this 1.5L version for some of my shorter (under 10km) trail runs during the warm days of summer. Much like it’s bigger sister, the pack performs extremely well. Very little bounce on the pack, other than water in the bladder itself moving around. Lots of pockets within reach in the front and at the ribs, with a generously sized zippered pocket on the left side chest strap for a cell phone or something. Setup for poles, and a strap near the bottom on the back for other stuff. This one only has the one pocket on the back besides the bladder sleeve, and that pocket is an accessory ... MoreI nought the 6L model for longer trail runs a couple of months back and absolutely loved it. This one only has the one pocket on the back besides the bladder sleeve, and that pocket is an accessory pocket, so don’t expect to be carrying large items or even a jacket (unless you have one that packs down really small). But that’s not the point of this pack - this one is meant for you to keep the load light - some water, some snacks, and maybe a few small tools. If you want to bring your filter, Spot, jacket, and other gear, you may want to consider the 6L model (which also comes with a 1.5L bladder). Overall, I’m totally pleased with the pack and am even eyeing the 15L. The only complaint I have is the bladder itself. Osprey gets Hydrapak to make them (which is great actually, because it works with their quick valve system), but they get them to put ribs inside of the bladder to give it some structure/so it doesn’t sag as much. Not very usually. And as a result, I this ribbing makes it really difficult to wash the bladders properly.

So impressed and glad I bought this
21 September 2021

I bought this a month ago so that I could start my long runs straight from my house, and so that on my long runs I didn't have to circle this one park in order to pass my car for water and gels. This has completely surpassed my expectations as far as how comfortable it is. I've run in it now for probably about 60 miles with 2 20 milers and I was able to hold all my fluids for a hot and humid run. I use the 1.5L osprey bladder in the pack and I bought some generic soft flasks with the longer stems to have in the larger chest pockets and it works great. I can suck on those straws without taking them out, and the stems can sit inside the little collar thing higher on the shoulder that the bladder water hose runs through. When I've run with the pack full of the 2.5L ... MoreI bought this a month ago so that I could start my long runs straight from my house, and so that on my long runs I didn't have to circle this one park in order to pass my car for water and gels. When I've run with the pack full of the 2.5L plus my phone in the back, it takes maybe 1 minute to get used to the feeling of it on my chest/back, but it feels like it doesn't bounce at all since you can synch it down from tup top, on the hips, and across the chest. I could bring way more stuff in the bag like more gels, a shell, spare socks, spare shirt, wallet, but I just haven't needed to yet. I don't think it's technically waterproof but on one 20 mile run it was pouring the whole time and my bag was in a plastic bag and the bag was dry so it seems to be unofficially waterproof at least in the key compartment. I was debating between this and a generic cheaper one, but I'm glad I got a legit product that will last forever and does the job perfectly. The mouthpiece is also super easy to use since it has that magnet, and the chest straps are also so easy to tighten on your run as you drink your water and the pack loosens up a little.

Superior comfort, quality, and technical features!

This vest is simply amazing! SO comfortable, and moves organically with your body with just the right balance of stretch and support. It is made of a series of mesh layers which vent sweat and heat. My husband and I each got one to wear under our ski jackets, which are generously sized but not baggy. The vests are imperceptible underneath the coats, even when full. This vest is so much better than any other hydration pack I've ever owned, even the smaller Camelbacks. The side support and ample pockets in the chest allow you to balance the load between the water and then snacks/gear in the front. This vest allows us to stay out all day in complete comfort, and we forget we are wearing them. It does not throw your balance off whatsoever. There is also an integrated rescue whistle and magnet for the bite valve to attach to one of the chest straps. The bladder is good quality, with minimal (if any?) plastic taste. Genius! And, it totally gets around the problem of the hose/bite valves freezing shut, since it can all be worn under one's outerwear. I feel like this is one of the best purchases of my life! I can't wait to use it in the summer for all kinds of other activities. My husband and I both have the "mens" version, and it fits us both equally well. I have a medium bustline and it is not a problem anatomically with chest pocket placement.

It is a good hydration vest. It comes with a 1.5L water reservoir and you can add up to 2 more collapsible water battles. The vest is comfortable and breathable. The 2 elastic straps on the front can be placed and adjusted at different places to customize the feeding. It has straps on the side so you adjust how snug as the reservoir empties. That way it does not bounce on you. The reservoir comes with a long hose because it’s meant to be customized. You need to measure your short comfortable distance for you to drink, then cut it. After cutting, reinstall the drinking valve. Other ways you will end up with a long hose bouncing all over the place and hitting you. This vest when adjusted properly is so comfortable you can almost forget that you are wearing it. On the back it has a loop that you can attach a light. Very useful when running in low visibility or general visibility purposes. The valve has a twist lock to avoid leaks. But if you have a favorite type of valve it can easily be replace. In fact that hole hydration reservoir can be replaced. The vest fits most water 1.5l reservoirs in the market.

Wanted to Love It But...

I love Osprey Packs; I own them for backpacking, travel and skiing and I really wanted their running vest to work for me. I wore this product for four months during longer runs of around 10-25 miles and during one 50km race with over 10,000' of climbing. While the fit is classic Osprey comfortable, I could not get used to how high the vest sits compared to the UD vests I typically use. I could not fit UD bottles in the front pockets easily and unfortunately wasn't able to try the Osprey brand bottles (this pack comes with a hydration bladder which, while a great bladder, is not my preferred way to hydrate while running). I also could not fit my phone (or much else) in the front zip pocket when I had a bottle in the front. I love the storage options in the back EXCEPT the rear stretch pocket must be unclipped in order to access the main rear storage pouch...this is a HUGE detraction. I also struggled to get this pack on/off quickly due to its cut and lack of stretch(and I am a very small person...can't imagine how difficult it would be for someone with less mobility). There were just too many things that were not intuitive or user-friendly enough to sway me...back to UD for my running vest. Hopefully there are some improvements by Osprey in the future.

There is also a fob inside one of the packets to attach a key to, so it's really hard to accidentally lose the car key while rummaging in the pack mid-trail. That's nice peace of mind.* The front pockets are wonderfully stretchy, and can accommodate various shapes of things, including the flasks, a phone, a bandanna, snacks, and I'm guessing I'll stuff cold weather accessories in them in the winter.* I struggle to maintain good posture, and when I don't, my neck can get sore. I didn't know if I could run with a pack and not have the weight distribution give me weird posture, but so far that hasn't been an issue at all.* This may sound goofy, but I just feel more confident and happy out running with this pack. I feel like a superhero putting on my special suit or something. I've given her a name, and we're a dynamic duo, unstoppable on the trail, and ready with snacks to share! The only thing that has been tricky:* There are small stuff pockets on each side in the back. I have a hard time reaching them. They weren't essential to my choice, and I'm not sure there's any better way to do it. I think I just have to train my hands to know where to look and I won't have trouble getting there anymore. This is not a complaint at all - it's just truly the only thing I've thought of that has been slightly less than super awesome.
