This is pretty much the sauce you buy whenever you want to cook certain Japanese food such as okonomiyaki or takoyaki. We even tried it on popcorn chicken, and it also tastes great on this with Japanese mayonnaise. You could probably use it in anything you like, especially fried foods. The only bad thing was that it got heated up from being in the sun, but that is only the mailman's fault for never ringing the doorbell or knocking the door when delivering stuff.

Hard to describe, it's kind of sweet, fruity and umami all in one bottle. Great on barbecued food and also makes a great burger sauce when mixed with some mayo.
I bought it for okonomiyaki, it was used so liberally I bought three more.A delicious sauce with a zing and tang, and that umami you're surely here for. It gets added to takeout, Chinese food, french fries, subs and sandwiches.Parboil veg, strain then toss while wet in this sauce and add a little panko or parsley, or sesame seeds.It's addicting and you might find yourself just reaching for it more than your ketchup, mayo or mustard.
I used to bring three bottles of this sauce from Japan every time I go back there. It's my absolute staple sauce, without this, one cannot make Yakisoba really. Fry the vegs and meat, add cooked egg noodle and add this sauce and continue to fry and magic! taste of homeland! Now, I don't have to carry these bottles in my suitcase ,I can order through Ocado and that's remarkable. It's difficult to explain the taste..., milder, fruitier , sweeter version of HP sauce perhaps... . A dash of this sauce onto breaded fish or breaded pork ( Tonkatsu)remind me of the dinner table back in Japan.. , not only for Okonomiyaki! A classic and truly must have sauce in my kitchen cupboard.
The authentic article from Japan and utterly delicious. I use it instead of worcestershire sauce and prefer it to Bulldog sauce, as it is sweeter. Also delicious mixed with mayonnaise, eat it with avocados as a quick snack, an endlessly versatile sauce that makes anything delicious!
This is the original okonomi sauce one buys in Japan. I'm so happy that Ocado stocks it - I won't have to wait until our next holiday to get more or keep asking friends to bring bottles of it back. My children use this instead of BBQ sauce and not just on their Japanese food. This is exactly how it is sold in Japanese supermarkets, so you can rest assured that you're not being sold a fake.
My husband loves this with bacon and eggs and any meals really! He says it's much better than brown sauce!
I was making sauce by myself, but not quite same! (Honey, brown sugar, wine, ketchup and Worcester sauce - type of sauce) I could buy from Amazon, but Ocado is easier! Thanks!
