My Owala is my emotional support water bottle and I simply can’t go a day without it. It keeps my water cold for the entire day, doesn’t spill, has an easy to open nozzle and comes with a detachable straw so you get to choose between using the straw or drinking straight from the bottle. Being able to detach the straw makes cleaning that much easier too. They come in an array of fun colors so they feel like an accessory which is pretty cute lol. I think they’re great as is BUT they’d be perfect if they had a handle. I have arthritis so I have weakness/stiffness in my fingers throughout the day and gripping such a large heavy bottle can be difficult for me especially if I’m out and don’t have a surface to rest it on. I’ve bought countless water bottles in search of the the perfect one for me. I only had one must have on my list and that was it had to be leakproof, and if it had a straw spout it was a bonus but not a requirement. I tried 3 different contigo bottles but they all leaked. I tried a bottle from Rubbermaid and it also leaked. I even tried multiple off brand and random brand bottles that all leaked or broke within a short time. I saw this bottle at London Drugs and thought it was just going to be another bottle that would disappoint me but boy was I wrong. The fact that it had a straw sip and a larger one is the main reason I bought it since I had given up on finding a true leak proof bottle at this point. The fact that it had a straw sip and a larger one is the main reason I bought it since I had given up on finding a true leak proof bottle at this point. I had never seen a bottle with both options for drinking before and thought it was a really cool feature. The first thing I did after giving it a good wash was to test the leak proof feature and boy was I surprised when it didn’t leak. I shook it around, held it upside down, left it on its side on a paper towel for hours and nothing leaked out at all! I even tested it out where I filled it up over the edge to where the water level is in the top cap and it still didn’t leak. I love using the straw sip when I want a few sips of water and the larger opening for when I’m really thirsty or taking medication. Having both options on one bottle is a perk I never even knew I needed until I tried it. The one con I thought this would have is because I’m not the biggest fan of stainless steel bottles since they tend to be a bit heavier and easier to damage. That wasn’t the case though, what I thought would have been a con is actually a pro because I’ve had the bottle for about a month now and not a single dent. Also another perk for the stainless steel is that it keeps my drinks cold for such a long time, on a day where it was 30°C I put ice in the bottle with water and the ice lasted the entire day. There was still little pieces of ice when I went to refill, and the water was always ice cold every time I opened it to take a drink. All in all I would absolutely recommend this cup to anyone looking for a water bottle.

I absolutely love this water bottle! It is 40 ounces so it holds plenty of water and I don’t have to refill it as often. It has a large opening to fit any ice size. I like that the mouthpiece is covered so when it’s in your bag, it doesn’t get dirty. It completely seals and does not spill which is a priority to me. I like the straw and chug functions. I didn’t think that I would use the chug function but it’s nice when I get to the bottom where the straw no longer reaches so I can get the last bit of water. I really like the color of the white water bottle with the gray top. Sometimes the straw falls out which can be annoying but it doesn’t happen too regularly. The handle is very convenient and I like that it flips directions so that way you can hang it if you need ... MoreI absolutely love this water bottle! One thing I don’t love about it is that there isn’t a good place to grip it, and it sometimes falls out of my hands, this is mostly because I have the 40 ounce water bottle which is a lot bigger. It also doesn’t fit in any cupholders so I bought a large cupholder insert for my car which has been amazing as well. It keeps my ice cold all night and into the next day so I don’t have any issues with my water becoming warm before I drink it, which is super important to me. I’ve had a lot of water bottles over the years and I am very picky so I do think that I found the best water bottle that works for me. I just need to figure out the best way to hold it so that way it doesn’t fall I’m drinking out of it.

If you are looking for a great water bottle that is well insulated- look no further. The greatest features of this water bottle is the spout to sip or chug, the lock that doubles as a carrying handle, and the ergonomic feel. We are huge HydroFlask fans and have man of them in our house but spending money on the different lids and attachments is an investment (the best hydroflask is the lightweight one!). We just wanted something easy new and affordable. The fact that my hand doesn't get fatigued holding it is nice, whereas with my Hydroflask I am often struggling when I get my kids or things out of the car. That is what makes the handle on this one nice too. Some Cons:Can't put hot liquids in itNot enough color options (though you could mix and match I ... That being said, if you are working with $25.00 and you want an affordable quality bottle for staying hydrated (not backpacking, hiking, running,cycling)...This is the bottle for you!
I went in to find a 24-ounce water bottle that doesn’t leak. I was going to purchase the same well-known brand with a closed cap and ended up discussing different options with the store manager. He pointed out this newer brand that advertises leak-proof bottles and also much cheaper than the brand I was originally going to purchase. He wanted me to try it out and bring it back if I was not satisfied. I am an airline pilot and deal with many pressure changes so being leak-proof is very important. It worked as advertised and I am very please with my purchase. Two items of note. Otherwise, you WILL have spray or liquid coming out because their leakproof design is so good. Also, it states the bottle is not to be used with hot liquids. Probably due to the first item and the danger of spraying hot liquid.
What a thoughtfully designed item. Every detail is perfectly executed. This is like a brand-for-life moment for me. We have a cabinet full of water bottles, tumblers, and sippy cups. Most did their jobs, some were decent, and the majority were ok enough, but I could never seem to stop buying them hoping for something more. Seeing the current hype over a competitor brand’s quenchers, I saw the owala bottle mentioned several times. I bought the other brand for myself and two of these for my kids. The quality of these are far superior. I’ll be returning the other and purchasing a larger size owala for myself. I do wish they had a version with a large handle on the body of the bottle, but other than that, this is one of the most perfectly designed items I’ve used.
I thought I was going to just love these bottles, but I was a little disappointed. I use a baby jogger for my exercise so I carry lots of ice water with me during this hot weather. These are the issues I’m having: First, the straw. When I drink all of my water, I like to unscrew the lid to get some ice to help keep me cool. The straw gets in my way every time. Maybe not a big deal to most. Second, the ice floats to the top so when I’m using the straw, the water I’m drinking (which comes from the bottom) isn’t that cold so I have to shake the bottle. Sometimes the straw even pops off so you really have to make sure it’s positioned really tight. If I want to take a big gulp, then that little hole where the straw is seems like it prevents very much water from coming ... Sometimes the straw even pops off so you really have to make sure it’s positioned really tight. If I want to take a big gulp, then that little hole where the straw is seems like it prevents very much water from coming out. Again, I’m sure no big deal for most. It’s difficult to get the lid screwed back on….haven’t figured out why that is, but it’s frustrating. It has a handy button that pops open…sometimes, that’s difficult and when it opens, you’d better look out….it really pops open! The bottle is really heavy when full of ice water, but that may be a good thing but it’s a little too heavy for me to lug around. It does keep your water cold…..well, the top part of the bottle where the ice is. The good these are…..it’s designed where two sides are flat allowing you to get a good grip. And, it’s textured so that helps to keep it from slipping out of your hand. If I had tried these bottles before buying, I wouldn’t have bought them. Just glad I got a good price on them. The 5 star reviews are why I got them. Maybe I’m the oddball when it comes to water bottles. I’d say they’re okay……just not my favorite for what I use them for.
WOW! This is really they best water bottle I have ever used. Let’s talk pros and cons. PROS: 1. AMAZING STRAW AND SPOUT SYSTEM! You can sip from the straw or drink from the spout. 2. HIDDEN SPOUT The cover and locking mechanism make it so that the straw is always sanitary because it it covered. This is a feature that not all water bottles have. 3. LOCK AND HANDLE The top part on the water bottle acts as two things: a lock to make sure there is no leaks, as well a handle that makes carrying it very easy. 4. KEEPS EVERYTHING COOL WITHOUT LEAKING The Owala water bottle does a great job on keeping my water cool. AFFORDABILITY I always thought that I had to buy a hydro flask to have a good water bottle. But I couldn’t come to terms with spending 50 bucks on one water bottle! When you use a water bottle everyday, no matter the brand, it’s gonna get a couple scuffs and dents. Luckily, that hasn’t happened to me with my Owala water bottle, but I’m sure it will eventually due to my clumsy-ness. 6. SLEEK AND COMFORTABLE SIZE I was debating between getting the 24 or the 32oz, but I’m glad I got the 24oz! It is super easy to carry around, and isn’t too heavy. Sure, I have to fill it up more that if I had the 32 oz, but I don’t mind! 7. MANY PARTS=EASY TO CLEAN There are a couple parts to the Owala water bottle that make it easy to clean. You can take out these parts, so it truly feels clean when washed. CONS: 1. CONDENSATION ON THE CAP Now, this is THE ONLY CON to this water bottle. And frankly, I don’t even consider it much or a con. I’ve noticed that the plastic cap on the top sweats a little bit when there is very cold water inside. I’m sure this also happens with other bottles, and it doesn’t bother me much at all. OVERALL: I say, if your not 100 percent sure yet, GET IT. It truly changed my hydration game for the better. DO IT!
I'm kind of a sucker for marketing. I get the biggest husband eyeroll every time I bring home a new drinking vessel. Camelbak, Nalgene, Yeti, Hydroflask, Stanley...I've done them all. So when I caught wind of Owala, I tried to resist. I did NOT need another bottle, even if the freesip idea and cute colors were intriguing. The fact that I'm writing a review lets you know how well I resisted :) I LOVE that I don't have to choose between sipping through a straw, or chugging when I'm hot and dying of thirst. when I'm driving, I need a sippy cup, but when I'm out and about I like tipping to drink. This is the perfect "about town" bottle, for cold drinks in the car or on the soccer sidelines! Most gimmicks are just that, but the freesip concept is BRILLIANT (NOT a ... Not too many pieces to take apart and scrub, keeps ice for hours, and cool collectible colors. I have become an Owala evangelist and got one for my sister and my daughter, and they love their bottles as well!
These 32oz Owala bottles combine the chug lids I love from Pogo with the auto-open feature I love from Contigo and add a lock to boot. They're simply fabulous. I'm dedicated to staying well hydrated and have toted an uninsulated 32oz Pogo chug-lid water bottle around with me for years now, and smaller uninsulated Contigo bottles before that (and still for nighttime because there's no better way to take a still-mostly-asleep sip without spilling all over your sheets than their auto-seal spout). I finally got a bit tired of almost always drinking tepid water, though, so I started shopping for insulated 32oz water bottles with chug lids this spring but had a really hard time finding a well-rated 32oz one. I finally got a bit tired of almost always drinking tepid water, though, so I started shopping for insulated 32oz water bottles with chug lids this spring but had a really hard time finding a well-rated 32oz one. I saw these insulated 32oz Owala bottles in the club and was intrigued because the two blues are two of my favorite colors, but I was unsure about the hybrid straw/chug spout for both cleaning and drinking purposes, so I passed them by and bought a 24oz. insulted Pogo instead. That bottle made me love having ready access to cold water no matter where I was -- even after hours on the beach or in the car -- but it just wasn't big enough. So, I began thinking about these Owala bottles again and, before long, happened to run across someone carrying one who turned out to be a nurse and, when asked how she liked it, was very enthusiastic about its durability and ability to keep drinks cold throughout even 12-hour shifts, as well as the comfort of drinking through the chug lid even though the hybrid straw portion is just below. So, I ordered them that very day and am totally in love with them! The colors are vibrant, they look and feel well-made, they're extremely easy to clean (I hand wash them, but they're also dishwasher safe), they do an excellent job of keeping water cold over time, and -- even though I've never liked water bottles with straws -- the low-profile sip portion of the hybrid chug lid is just as easy, effective, and pleasant to drink from as the chug lid and the hybrid construction isn't awkward at all. In fact, it's downright helpful when you're driving or watching something since you don't have to tilt your head to take a drink. They are just a bit heavier than most uninsulated 32oz water bottles, and perhaps a smidge wider as well, but my small hands still hold them just fine and my uninsulated 32oz water bottle didn't fit in my car cupholders either, so this one finally made me get around to buying a cup hole adapter and now I'm good to go.
