I have 6 guinea pigs and I'm always looking for new treats for them to try (in addition to their daily veggies!). Most of my guinea pigs are extremely picky when it comes to any packaged treats, but I had a coupon for Oxbow, and these were on sale at Petco, so I decided to give them a try. I was really surprised that 4/6 guinea pigs LOVED these carrot/dill treats! I'd recommend trying this variety if you're looking for a tasty treat for a guinea pig.

My guinea pig loved these treats before they changed the size to a chunky heart with a divot in the middle. She refuses them and leaves them whole in her cage...even if I leave it there for the entire day. She devoured the former oval shaped ones. The formula must have changed too because she kept sniffing at it like it was something unfamiliar to her. I would not recommend this new formula/size.

The J Tribe love their treats but because we have 6 piggies they can only get 1-2 treats a day. But they love them so much. Even Jasmine who is 6 and has cancer loves them. So Jasmine, Joy, Jan, Jaffa, Jupiter, and Jill say thank-you. Shame they were not around when babies Jessie and Jemma were alive. They too would have loved them. The treats are small for a piggy to handle and they are great for their teeth. Guinea pigs deserve treats too and these are very good for them! My fussy girls recommend them and so do I! A few more in a packet wouldn't go astray for those like me who have 6 piggies.

My young chinchilla a is hyper,picky,stubborn and hard to catch. He doesn't like any treat I have tried to give him, which is good,because they aren't suppose to have them anyway, but he goes nuts over these. They're a tad large so I break them into small pieces and only give him small chunks. They are healthier, only contain one preservative, a natural sugar and timothy hay. Only con was I bought them at my local feed store and the expiration date was September 2016... I didn't even get a chinchilla until November of 2016 and boutique these in December. Just noticed the date today and tossed them and decided to order them here.
I'm pretty strict when it comes to my bunnies diet. I make sure there is no wheat and there aren't anything they were unable to eat.Since I give my bunnies a treat once in the morning and again at night. This was perfect! At first they were unsure if they were able to get this cookie, but once they had it, they loved it. They always know when it's coming when I open the bag.It's baked timothy hay along with whatever ingredients are in it. My favorite is are the apples & bananas because they love those actual fruits. But overall, the bunnies love all of the cookie flavors.
I bought these for my boys 1st birthday as a treat. They wanted nothing to do with. I tried giving the treats to the wild squirrels whom I feed regularly and they didn't want them either. As a last resort, I fed them to 1 of my wild bunnies and she loved them. So if you have a rabbit, you'll have a hit. Every animal is different so if you have gerbils, they might like them but mine don't.
Normally I would highly recommend these treats, however the new shape has made them difficult for my guinea pig to enjoy. They are thicker and harder than the old shape. She tried to eat it, but eventually gave up. With the old shape, she would gobble these up in no time. Oxbow- Please bring back the old shape!
these new treat shapes are something else, and NOT in a good way; my guinea pig hates them; he wont touch them and he used to LOVE the old ones; i am so sad because i bought him a few bags of the new ones because they claim to be the “same thing” (just with a new shape) but thats not true because my guinea pig refuses to eat them; unless they change the recipe and shape back, i wont be buying these again, dont waste your money they ruined the treats
We adopted a 2y.o. bunny a few months ago. In all that time, these have been his *favorite* treat. We alternate these with with Oxbow's Timothy O's, but he'll do anything for these.
My bunny used to love simple rewards treats, but since they changed recipe? Biscuit size? He isn't loving them too much. Disappointing because I love Oxbows healthy ingredients.
