Dependable long-lasting batteries

I've been using Panasonic Envelop batteries for at least three years now. The original set of 16 that I bought three years ago is still going strong and last a long time per charge. So when I needed more, I chose the same brand again, and these are working great as well. There is a pro version of these batteries with higher capacities, but they die after fewer recharge cycles, so the overall lifespan is lower for many uses. That's why I chose to stay with the original Eneloop.

After researching a broad variety of rechargeable AA batteries, I decided on the Panasonic Eneloop. They came recommended by other photographers, as well as other outside sources. After having/using them for several months, Ive been very happy with them. I started with the quick charger and several batteries. They recharge quickly, hold the charge well, and the charger will charge from one to four at a time. My kids use them in their xBox remotes, and we have them in TV remotes, camera flashes, flashlights, and other equipment throughout the house. I will soon add the AAA Eneloops, too. (My only wish is that Eneloops came in actual size C and D, instead of the spacers.) Eventually I plan to switch over 100% to rechargables, as these are performing well, and I dont have to buy disposable batteries every month. I considered the Pro version of these, but due to the higher cost, and fewer number of expected cycles, Im better off with the regular Eneloops. In scenarios where I need a lot of power, such as camera flashes, I always carry a second set (or more) so the regular Eneloops are fine for me.

These are made well. No complaints other than the battery chemistry itself, Ni-MH just is not very powerful and it doesn't hold its charge that well. Good replacement for cheap alkaline batteries. They will save you money every charge cycle.I also use the Pro version of these, and they are not much better, just more expensive. Buy these instead, or maybe look for a better solution for high power, critical gear.

Long term reliable
28 December 2023

I have been buying Eneloop batteries for more than a decade. Out of the dozens of batteries I have purchased only a single (and 10 years old!) battery has ever gone bad on me. The quality and reliability has been amazing and makes them a worth it. Even my 10 year old batteries still give me over 1700mah usable capacity after all the years and hundreds of cycles based on my charger’s charging metrics.

Perfect substitute as rechargeable C battery
28 February 2024

Great product. Haven't been able to find rechargeable C batteries (maybe they're not available), and these AA 's fit perfectly into the holders and ... Voila! now you have a rechargeable C battery!I use two packs (4 batteries total) in a big flashlight but I don't know how long they'll last. When they die I'll just recharge them - in an Eneloop charger I already have.

The best AAs for the lowest price!
14 October 2023

Since I started buying Panasonic eneloop batteries, I've not been disappointed. They stay charged for more than a year in most of my devices, but I keep running out of them due to new devices needing them. They are supposed to be rechargeable up to 2100 times, but I've only scratched the surface with about three recharge cycles for each of the four I've used in my power-hungry bluetooth roku remote (two batteries at a time). That one device drains them almost monthly, but nothing else has depleted these batteries low enough to notice even once. Other devices using them are my Roland R26, numerous remotes, a Nichon flash, my old flashlight with four C spacers, and definitely more I'm not remembering right now.

The best rechargeable AA out there.

I have been using Eneloop batteries since before Panasonic boughtSanyo. They throw enough current that the original set came withconverters to use them in "C" and "D" applications. I have a small tactical flashlight that runs on one AA cell, but pulls too much current to use alkaline batteries. It runs great with these. I use them in everything from my blood pressure meter to flashlights to my Speedlite. Eneloop batteries have no memory like NiCads do. Thecharge holds up for years and you can recharge them a couple thousand timers. Their long life make them the least expensive batteries on the market. My original set are still going strong after about fifteen years. I just have more equipment to use them in, so I needed more batteries. economical replacement for alkaline
10 July 2024

I've been using Eneloop batteries instead of ordinary alkaline AA / AAA cells. I figure I come out ahead if I can get only a few charge cycles and certainly expect more. The year+ shelf life means I can just put them into service when needed, unlike when I tried this plan with NiCd or other NiMH batteries that would be dead in a month because of high self-discharge. For the most part this plan has worked fine except once, which may have been my fault. I had 4 batteries in a flash for probably close to a year with only occasional use, and when I checked them a couple weeks ago 3 of the batteries were at near zero, about 0.1 V. I ran them through a couple charge/discharge cycles on charger and it's reporting 2000 mAh capacity so I think they're OK. As to why they died so horribly I don't know, they shouldn't have according to their spec, but perhaps when I put away the flash it continued drawing power. In any case, I bought one of theSTORACELL SlimLine AA Battery Holders and won't leave the batteries in the flash. (Yeah, I know, that's good practice anyway!)

product pays for itself
28 November 2023

I have been using Eneloop rechargeables for more than ten years and they have probably saved me literally thousands of dollars over throwaways. Some of the motor drives and film SLRs. I have owned require six or eight AA batteries at a time. I don't have to worry about unloading a device if it sits idle for weeks. I have never had a leaking eneloop and some of mine have been recharged hundreds of times!
